  1. Low-level players benefit even more from piety than high level players, actually, there is no reason to not use prayer at any level. That aside, Torag's is far from the worst armour choice to make.
  2. Erm no? If you want a good aura, consider that Reverence only really works when you're short on inventory space and sharpshooter can't help you, e.g. non-Nex/Kree bosshunting.
  3. It used to be arctic pine > sawmill > teak > ivy but with urns I think teak overtook sawmill, teaks also come with firemaking xp and logs you can bank. By the way you can use both urns and beaver perfectly well at teaks, you just have to bank a little more. Though I'd say at that point the beaver isn't worth it anymore.
  4. I think knockout can activate at 10% of the highest lp or lower, but only up to 100 lp. So far I've only done greater demons to really test it on, and it seemed to be about correct, with no knockouts below 80 damage. It also does not worth with cannon or familiars so it's pretty bad, but as it is the only aura to increase melee dps I got it anyway, not like you need more prayer restore while slaying.
  5. A simple treasure trails god cloak would be nice, only +4 prayer but cheap and puts your prayer bonus at about 14 (instead of 10).
  6. Basically, use magic defence to defend from Kree and one minion, you pray protect range so that takes care of one other minion, which leaves the melee minion and Kree's melee attack, which he apparently only uses when he's not under attack. In duos it's better to use an Armadyl helmet rather than Verac's I think.
  7. Rapier is about as good as zs near maxed stats, but the lower your attack level, the lower your accuracy, and the lower your accuracy, the more valuable it becomes.
  8. Void wise I'd go with maul/handcannon. Nex wise you need 99 ranged and 99 magic really. Also Kandy doesn't have the best gear right, which is full pernix + divine + ccbow with ruby bolts (and comp cape) which is not required at all.
  9. It'd really help if you guys stopped making such a big deal of things. Yes it's not the most efficient gear, but not anything like using a dragon med or w/e. Torag's will do fine. The most important thing is to pray the boost prayer that fits with your weapon, e.g. 15% attack/strength or piety for melee, eagle eye/rigour for ranged and augury/mystic might for magic. Prayer bonus is more of a secondary concern.
  10. Grimy Bunyip tested it at the Lighthouse, the dagganoth are agressive and his rapier did degrade very quickly. Now the question isn't if being attacked drains chaotics (it does), but whether spawn are considered creatures.
  11. Don't like the principle or the execution but I guess it's too late now <_<. Looking at the list: Oddball: no game effect, which is a plus, but still a useless update. Poison Purge: lasts 5 minutes? Useless. Friend in Need: Theoretically useful if tons of people use it on corp at the same time. Probably doesn't work though :P. Knock-out: Seems useful. Runic accuracy: No use. There still are only three things you'd mage and those are Rex, barrows brothers and players. Sharpshooter: Nex, Kree. Call of the Sea: Small xp boost, not great I guess but it's worth getting? Reverence: Only for record-breaking long bosshunting trips. Dagganoth kings perhaps? Surefooted: Doesn't last very long, but useful. Jack-of-all trades: Useful, but way too easy to get. 10 different skills in 3 hours is just... well people consider ways to get that in 1-2 seconds. If you have enough auras you can probably swap them around, or you can log out and wait for them to recharge. In short, it promotes playing less or playing less of the same at least.

    Low-alch because you can't keep up with hi-alch only, ideally you'd hi-alch until a near-full inventory then switch to low-alch to clear it.

    You get more crimsons per hour? You don't get as many gold/green/blue but still 20 more crims. After 95 summoning waterfiends become faster because you can use an iron titan.
  14. I'm wondering how much xp Suomi has banked in charms, and if he can use them up to get some 100m fast xp after 200m slayer? It'd be a shame to have that much xp banked with no cash :mellow:. Since a burst of summoning and maybe hunter/thieving is the only thing I can see Suomi reach rank 1 with for a long while, and that's not going to happen with Elias crawlering.
  15. It's alright to gather information, I think, but you can't use the information to move the mouse or to do anything in the game. Many people keep manual drop logs of their bosshunting, too, and of course keep track of whip drops etc. by slayer task numbers.
  16. 335k thieving and 196k agility today, yay. Got 86 and 81 respectively, and agile legs. Gnome advanced is much better than ape atoll. Oh, and I hit 150m total xp sometime yesterday.
  17. I recommend knights of Ardougne for strange rocks and court cases. They also give 50 gp per pickpocket :thumbup:. Very nice levels as usual, too. We'll be sorry when you start working on easy levels - 74 thieving? joking

  19. Erm that's not correct. If you are curious how it works, try these calculators by Grimy.
  20. Use pray for sure, it's really cheap and gives you more of everything (loot, xp, charms, effigies, high hits, accurate hits...).
  21. You won't get faster kills with ranged normally, but since you don't have soul split or piety you will need a lot less food (no food, to be exact) and you may get more kph because of the cannon doing its work better (luring). You should really train summoning for faster money.
  22. While your conclusions are correct, your method is not. You don't take into account the 64 base accuracy/strength number. You will get 226/235 and 207/202, which means the longsword has roughly 9% higher max damage roll and 16% higher max accuracy roll. Raw dps wise this means the cls gets 1.09*4 versus 5 units of damage, or about .55 less, over 10%.
  23. It's more efficient to make extreme potions, as they are higher xp/hr and only a little more expensive than brews (180 xp each versus 200+ xp each). Somes have high value (overload) as well; making overloads from scratch is cheaper than brews if you value one overload as one of each super pot.
  24. Maul is faster but you take so much damage that you can't use a yak, which costs you a lot of money (= over 1m/hr) for a small offence boost and much higher risk of death. I'd honestly only recommend using torva with dfs/cls and maul switches. I've tried rapier @ AC fiends for a bit and it seemed roughly equal to maul, a little slower perhaps. Off task you should be able to get 130+ crims/hr with turm/ovl/maul/void, on task more of course. And yes Sxq is correct.
