  1. Overloads do lower by 1 level every minute, but reboost to the max every 15 seconds. If you don't want to use stews, mature ales are worth it. It's really up to you how much effort you are willing to put in stewing.
  2. Short and long bows have the same max, longbows lose less dps from the speed loss, but of course shortbows are higher dps to start with. It's 4 tick versus 6 tick on sniper.

Torts are virtually no effigies/charms though, which is what the OP needs. I'd say, start doing wyverns (better crims than waterfiends) and skip dusties, also do black dragons as they are great effigies and slayer xp, as well as decent enough charms. Juju mining is worth it imo, as it really reduces the rate at which you have to drop/alch just about enough to afk part of the time. Lava flow isn't worth it unless you want the outfit. Well if you can afford to stuff every patch with mage/palm, that's fine. Be sure to farm calquat and Herblore Habitat herbs + your regular torstol runs (at 85, with juju & sol). If you value farming xp high enough to do magics, one farm run is like 500k gp. ZMI then effigies/xp rewards/assists sounds good, Karamja elite at least, also Fremminik I think, both require 86/87? Barker toad with gold, fruit bat or unicorn with green (can make scrolls if you want), rock lobster > swamp titan > iron titan > yak with crims (wolpers are too slow), lava titan with blue until you're out of obsidian charms, then switch to geysers.
  4. The horn is worth it if you can fill it faster than you can empty it. If you also lose/gain money training a skill (= firemaking, mining) then take the time to empty as the time to make money (can be negative) + use up the money. Emptying is based on xp; you get approximately one million agility/mining xp or three million firemaking xp from one full horn, increasing with level. So if your normal mining method is 50k/hr, and we assume the horn holds exactly 1m xp, you'd get 100k/hr (double 50k) which means 10 hours. If you can fill the horn in 10 hours it's worth it. A good/great team can fill the horn in about 4 hours, world 6 takes much longer, around 6 hours? It depends on your selection of teammates of course.

It was patched for black demons, that I remember. As for doing gargoyles in the Chaos Tunnels, you really want a good familiar for that, and since familiars can't deliver killing blows, the lesser fighters (geyser, wolper) won't be as useful. Normally you'd use these fairly weak fighters to do the last ~100 damage to reduce overkill, but at gargoyles you have hammers to do that so yeah. I'd use Kuradal's until you have at least an iron titan, using your regular max offence gear. If you want a max (total) xp or max effigies or max charms or max slayer xp per hour task list, I'm pretty sure gargoyles are on none of these lists :P.

If you're not using a wolpertinger, use overloads. They are both fun to use and last I heard also efficient (compared to xmage repotting every 2-3 mins iirc).

Can we stop the who's right/who's wrong discussion? Thank you. Well I'm not leaving you a choice.
  8. Should note that fire cape > sw cape, and Anima's cannon spot is the one I mean.
  9. I don't mind higher requirements, but slowly. Though it's a bit too slow right now perhaps.
  10. It really only comes into play when you do x:y with x > y I think, e.g. when monsters get based off the low levels and not the high levels. Not sure though.
  11. With your stats it's not going to be a very fast task, but you can use a combination of prayer and strength/accuracy gear and Korasi's (damage output is more important) and just pray melee + piety, makes fairly short work of irons.
  12. I'd say 100m with all buyables done is alright, but 500m+ starts to mean something for maxed players. Of course if you have lower stats, lower wealth would be considered a good bank.

Every 10 levels the xp jumps, and if you need your low floors anyway you're going to get higher xp/hr equivalent. I'd say it's worth it at 70 if you need lower floors, 80 without, though you should remember you won't get magic, agility or strength xp from c2 fishing, as opposed to barbarian fishing with alching.
  14. I think there would be a distinction between botters and non-botters like with DIY/not DIY now, and I wouldn't bot. There is not enough sense of achievent in that for me.
  15. ^That would be nice. Maybe have 1 tormented demon + one for every 10 combat levels beyond 90, lol.
  16. What's the cheapest item will freak out over when they find them scattred across the GE? Shield halves? Edit: donating to me or Suomi would be good ways to spend money, imo. Guess it's not stupid enough though.
  17. Jagex isnt gonna cater each boss to insanely maxed players... OK, I'll tell you I'm going to take 64 seconds with exactly the same strategy, and that's because I'm not "insanely maxed". Besides, having those things isn't that rare at all, there are 50k+ people with overload, 40k with turmoil, probably over 50k with chaotic weapons (80k+ with enough tokens) and 17k with a steel titan. There's going to be a lot of overlap, but in the end I'd say there is a very significant group which won't be challenged by anything Jagex can afford to throw at them. Not that that is a bad thing, you don't want to exclude a large majority of the people, but right now the only things that are very challenging left are Nex and (solo) corp, as well as two old bosses: KQ and DKS, although in a very different way than intended I think (e.g. solo tribrid DKS on a high population world). Some dungeoneering bosses are pretty tough, too, though that usually comes down to rushing them in sub-ideal gear with little food. These are all good fun etcetera, but none of the hard bosses are associated with quests (Nomad is not hard if you have at least one out of ovl/turm/yak really). So when we're fighting Mahjarrat, I'd really want to see at least something on par with a handful of tormented demons (without the Stone of Jas to boost your stats) especially considering Lucien can apparently open some sort of portal that summons those demons long after he's gone. It wouldn't be right for Lucien to be weaker than tormented demons. And it'd add a little bit of spice to the quest cape.
  18. Good read, hope the fights are hard enough to take a few tries even at max combat.

Fire surge, yes. Cannon as well.
  20. The base slayer gear is as follows (alternatives in brackets): [For all slayer monsters except those mentioned under other weapons] Chaotic rapier (whip) Bandos body + legs (Verac's skirt with either fighter torso or proselyte top) [Depending on prayer/accuracy needs] Fire cape/Soul Wars cape/Ardougne cloak 3 Barrows gloves (your best rfd gloves, at least rune) Dragon boots (rune boots) Amulet of fury (glory) Dragon defender (rune defender) Berserker ring (i)/ferocious ring if slaying in Kuradal's Dungeon (berserker ring, warrior ring) [Most important] Full slayer helmet. [For magic defence on waterfiends/aquanites] Karil's top and elite void skirt (black dragonhide body and chaps) [Crush attacks to use on waterfiends] Chaotic maul (Saradomin sword, Zamorakian spear) [stab attacks for higher-levelled dragons, when not using rapier] Korasi's sword (Zamorakian spear, leaf-bladed sword) Task-specific items such as mirror shields, antifire shields/potions, elemental shields, rock hammers, crystal chimes Cannon (optional, up to personal preference) Slayer setups generally emphasise strength bonus, which increases the average damage of each succesful hit (slayer monsters usually having rather low defence, hitting is not a problem). Secondly, prayer bonus is important to keep the cost of prayer potions down (as you slay with piety on, to increase the speed of your kills. This is cost-effective and highly recommended). As a rule of thumb, +10 prayer bonus or above is good, but don't overdo it (anything above +20 is a waste). Defence and accuracy bonus are usually not fretted over (any defence bonus over 200 will do; if you get hit too often you should be using a protection prayer). Dagganoth, black demon, black dragon, lesser demon, hellhound, bloodveld and spectre tasks should be cannoned, as it dramatically increases xp rates (although it costs a bit). Some notes on gear: You'll want a fury and a berserker ring before you get bandos plate, and get that before tassets. You'll want accuracy bonus on higher-levelled dragons; if using stab attacks (which you should) you can use the Ardougne cloak 3 which provides you with +6 stab and +6 prayer bonus. Torso + sw cape and fire cape + proselyte are common cheap top/cape combinations; the former is better. Some levels to get for slayer (in approximate order but I'm not sure on the summoning): 68 summoning - bunyip 81 dungeoneering (you need 2 million xp, which takes you to level 80, but allowing some tokens for the scroll of life) - rapier 89 herblore (85 with a +4 stew boost) - extreme potions, superantifires 95 prayer - turmoil and soul split 88 summoning - unicorn 96 herblore (91 with a +5 stew boost) - overload 99 summoning - steel titan I'm sure I missed something but this is most of it. Replace whip with korasi's if training strength only, use ss on low defence tasks (e.g. not metal dragons, not black dragons, not abyssals perhaps).
  21. Med? 1-29 c1 and 30+ large.
  22. Latest bank pic shows 51 lumberyard scrolls banked, with enough glories/duelling rings that's about 153k construction xp worth of mahogany logs.
  23. Your combat level depends on all combat stats (attack, defence, strength, constitution, ranged, magic, prayer, summoning), though only attack+strength or magic or ranged counts. Your combat level is then calculated and this gives a number like 72.9, which is rounded down. Getting that one prayer level gets you a little beyond 73 and that's rounded to 73.
  24. One per 9500 xp worth of fish you intend to get, e.g. about 4-5 per hour.
  25. I got 99 summ before you :D. Gratz though, now crawler to 99 rc :P!
