  1. Some of us who like to help out close friends with Raw Materials such as ore or 2nds. I will take RWT and free trade over the limited economy with skewed prices any day of the week; however that wont happen. but I would love for a system to trade friends to arrise.
  2. I've never had trouble with Zone-Alarm. I've never had trouble with any software program. However I can tell you I take 1 or 2 calls every few nights where some moron did not understand what zonealarm was asking and blocked all traffic/email. Hell one customer got mad at me for asking him to do an ipconfig, zonealarm classified it as a hacking attempt. From My experience with it working with people its complete and utter trash that I wouldn't install nor recommend to anyone. If you have a hardware firewall and common sense. You do not need nor will ever need or require a software one.
  3. I wouldnt use Zone-Alarm if they paid me. I am quite comfortable with my nice hardware firewall.
  4. I would be fine with jagex releasing the older holiday drops like the rubber chicken/bunny ears/yo yo for a fair price - like $9.99 its not like they give you an advantage of any sort. ~Owner of all untradeable drops
  5. I think generally jagex does a great job with bug control. Since july 2001, They have handled many bugs very well, such as the rock at the digsite that people mined in classic for insane xp. Overall for the content they release, They do a great job. The knife bug was handled well and the only bug I felt uneasy about was the paladin trapping bug, I feel quite a few people should of been banned for that one, but I am not sure if anyone was banned for it, but alot of classic people did use it, so it would of certainly been a massive banning unless they instilled an xp cutoff. Jagex has swift handling of bugs and as a player I have 90 percent faith in their CS. I only have a 10% mistrust because of random stories. Overall on nerfing, the whip/gmaul reductions were disappointingly, but I really do believe jagex does a superior job with their quality control/assurance. If its possible, I would like to see a different way to "Save" your file to help prevent rollbacks. Maybe some level 1 magic spell that casts an aura around updating the servers of your newest items and can only be done every 15 minutes? In conclusion, since july 2001 the only complaint I have had with the game stems from the December updates and thats my inabilty to trade with close friends the way I would like to. But thats another article, another time :P
  6. I think its far from being a GTA Clone, it's sandbox, the similarities honestly stop there. You are in charge of a gang and can have Co-op buddies play the game with you and do the mission or recruit cpu homies with actual AI. The fact is in GTA you cannot run a business. The Story in saints row is much better and actually has a very good plot. It's a far superior game to GTA. Asides. GTA doesnt have a zombie minigame thats in a different fully 3d map that is a game in itself.
  7. Hello Eveyone, I am going to start the arguement saints row 2 will change gaming forever with superior gameplay, story lines and push the limits for sandbox games that change gaming for the next decade. The Original saints row was highly underrated with a superb story, a quality aiming system and interesting and good mini-games. Of the new features in the new sequal, It looks like it could change gaming forever. Here is a blurb of confirmed diversions doesnt include the minigames. These diversions include 35 'barnstorming' missions, 50 CDs to buy from music stores, 32 secret areas within the city to find, 80 stunt jumps, and 50 areas that you can tag up with paint cans. You can also drive an ambulance to save victims, put out fires as a fireman, pimp yourself out as a [bleep], tow vehicles for cash, and drive a taxicab. Not content to stop there, you can also perform drive-bys, flash people (trench coat and all), robbery, mugging, poker, racing, streaking, and even play a game called "Zombie Uprising" on your game console in your safe house." Flamethrowers, Shock Paddles, Stealing waste disposal trucks and flinging poo with a great storyline. I cant wait. :P
  8. Which is sad, this is a discussion thread about content...Not the authors writing style.
  9. I too am a bit disappointed by the plethora of negative replies. I primarily melee, but I do safespot range, to me it makes logical sense for someone using a projectile weapon to *hide*, after all, snipers hide. As a times writer, I can promise you I have put out much worse than this article, so I am surprised by the quick bandwagon of naysayers. Infact ironically I almost wrote this article myself a few weeks ago, its a relevant and good issue. As for the Black Demons, I tested it out on low hd, there was a spot I could stand in, but it was far from safe infact I got attack from behind, so the black demon safespot is not "Safe" lest it wasnt for me. To me the point people seem to miss is respect, back in classic you had respect for people training in spot x,y,z whether it be melee or range. if someone was there, you switched. RS2 is a self centered type society where people jack whoevers spots. Respect should be given, these days, it's seldom seen. I for one enjoyed the article, it was a relevant useful piece that I thought could lead to quality discussion in many different ways. ~Das
  10. I've had three customers call in about this one. AVG/Ad-aware updated seemed to remove it in all 3 cases with no problem.
  11. Loge_05 Has came back as a global moderator, many of you may remember loge for his hard, excellent work in the past and he will be in here quite often. so give a warm welcome to Loge.
  12. Any Level 3 coordinates clue does give you a wizard based on wilderness or not, Level 2 coordinates, do not spawn a wizard.

  14. This has been planned for awhile for multiple reasons. 1) Stat sigs from other sites such as draynor.net had a 60 kb sig option, 20 kb above our limits, which lead to lots of removals when people didn't know the difference. 2) Other Fansites have much higher limits, Our's was a meager 40, Zybez offer's 90, Sal's had 60. It's only fair to our users that we try to stay competitive in our users in a day of high speed internet access. In a page of 20 posts, assuming everyone has 100 kb signatures, this is only a 1200 KB increase per page. Chances are not everyone will have a sig that large and it wont be that much difference of a load time Our Goal as a fansite is to offer competitive and attractive features and rules that would not hurt our users and benefit them. Anytime a rule can be changed or a feature can be added. to make our users happier (RL pic's , Dynamic sigs, Sig limits) We are very willing to consider implementing it. Without access to the numbers, we all know other fansites get lots of views and traffic too, and all have much larger signature rules, Clearly if a user can use a sig at zybez , they should be able to use it here with us as well, without having to worry about making a special sig for us.
  15. Pretty much anything thats acceptable to be posted - could be uploaded, We assume most users have the common sense to pick out those images. :P
  16. I really like Fist of guthix, not because of it being a replacement for pvp, but because I take it for what it is, a fun pvp minigame thats a nice fun thing to do now and then. To me RS2 pking was always trash. Nothing beats RSC glory

    Today...

Well today I got up around 9:30, but i snoozed until 10. I rolled out of bed, and hit my pc, and went to pee and brush my teeth. Then I opened up my Hasbrotoyshop.com Fin Fang Foom Exclusive. and built my fing fang foom. I then got about 10k mining xp, while playing facebook wrestling. I then posted some at a sports card and toyforum and checked DVDtalk for new sales. Amazon had a 3 for 10 sale, but nothing good. I then mined some more, and chatted with a few good friends on messenger. My mom came home for lunch, and brought home some Fatz Cafe to go, So I had fish/shrimps and fries .I then took a shower and got ready for work. I took call of duty 4 out, because I beat it on the hardest difficulty last night and played some guitar hero, then i went back to mining. mining sucks, so I went forum browsing. saw a website was having a toy sale, almost bought a street fighter Dan figure but 7.50 shipping pissed me off, So I checked out another sites sale, and looked at the graphic novels. Nothing on sale I wanted. So i passed. I then decided i should go to work, so i went to work. 2 hours into my shift, I have taken 3 calls, looked at one porno filter request and posted here and there. Now its 2 minutes to 5. I will take my lunch hour and go toyhunting, and buy a light snack at taco bell. Then I will work until 6- 10 pm.
  18. Ive always thought it was beyond cheesey to allow lock requests because someone messed up and is taking some heat, I really wish something could be done to prevent entire post editing.
  19. old trolls under the bridge! :P good to see you posting caz
  20. All jokes and hatred aside, this is interesting, Runescape could of merchandised and sold mugs, shirts, tcg's or plushes long ago, but they enter the collectible market with a book. Books are collectable, and always cool to have as a keepsake. Personally, I would of ordered it, but I needed to save my money for the San Diego Comic Con Exclusives and had a good shot at some good deals on some rare sportscards. What i am anxious to see is if one of the signed copy winners decides to ebay it. Jagex isn't fond of ebay to my knowledge, but they hardly can control a collectible market for books. Throw autograph's into the equation, and I would love to see it hit Ebay. The 4 Horseman toy sculptors offer a signed blister card of the 4 scupltors for 5-10 more dollars, honestly, I would like to see that prize made buyable. Autograph paperback? Heck yeah
  21. I used to be a regular in darkwebz, that being said , I did alot of things in darkwebz you could never do here  . Limits are good and for a reason and i think these here in OT have made many improvements
  22. After speaking with thiesje and talking to him about this matter, Instinct will move onward. I would like to thank faith for thier sportsmanship and maturity in handling this matter.
