October 25, 200718 yr I was thinking about this today. What do you think the name has to do with the game? Please explain you thoughts. NO FLAMING OR SPAMMING
October 25, 200718 yr I think rune means runes(magic), and i think of scape as in landscape, so to me it means rune world. Thats really badly phrased sorry. Mostly game names involve either the content or style of the game, like Gears of War because the soldiers are called gears, Halo, because of the Halo devices, Warcraft, because war is waged.
October 25, 200718 yr Well Runes and Capes Merge it together Runescape Proud Mother Of Two GirlsProud Player Of Rune ScapeProud And Loveing Angel Maghras Strong As A Robot =X
October 25, 200718 yr Well Runes and Capes Merge it together Runescape Capes don;t have much to do with the game, though, so that seems slightly pointless...unless you;re joking. Then hahahahaha. Nice job. I always thought Rune was about the Runite armor/weaponry, and Scape meaning Landscape. Treasure trail items: 9Dragon drops: 0

October 25, 200718 yr Well, Runes are like ancient symbolie thingies. Scape is a land.. My explination makes no sense ftw? the trick is to balance all of these methods to get 99 and either play real life or train another skill while farming. 635th to 99 Farming 12/16/07
October 25, 200718 yr In every other game I've seen, a Rune is a mystical force, usually contained within a rock or a stone, hence we have runes. I've never once seen the ground on RuneScape referred to as "Earth", so I presume the ground in RS is called "Rune". "Scape" simply means an area of space, so presumably, the area the rune covers. Therefore, we have RuneScape. | Favourite Game Music | Last.fm | HYT Friend Chat Rules |

October 26, 200718 yr RuneScape is based in a time where magic and fairy tales "existed". "Rune" as in Magic. "Scape" is like land. Therefore, RuneScape.
October 26, 200718 yr Yes, A Magical Relm/Land Land - landscape Rune - magic So, rune scape or runescape ;) Runite armour was just named after the name Runescape was formed.
