  1. Thank you all, I look forward to serving the Tip.it Community and helping make sure Tip.it constantly improves. I look forward to working with you all, and I look forward to seeing the clans return to tip.it ~Das
  2. Although I believe the first issue could of been more, all of the editors involved wanted to get this feature out and while it may of been "rushed" or subpar to some, I encourage positive feedback so Our editors can improve, and I have a feeling they will. To be fair over the tip.it times history, not every article has impressed me so I hope we all take this as a learning experience and be positive in our improvement of it. He is a clan mod. He has been since before the rollback, but due to oversights and complications he has not always had the flag, They were far from incorrect in that. Did you LOOK at his profile before posting? Did you ask before flaming? No. Consider me disappointed you rushed to make wild assumptions without contacting DBZ or myself. ~Das I look forward to issue #2
  3. checking the underground lava maze dungeon now. nope
  4. Cookies are in No way a "Threat" to your machine, generally most tracking cookies track your browsing patterns over a small network or series of websites, Thier are no super cookies that can keylog or install software on your machine or watch everything you do, never seen any in 4 years of dealing with clients in 4 years. They are for the most part harmless and needed to use any website with a username password certificate. I recommend security to thousands of customers daily and never would I ever tell them to set up cookie permissions for one site a time. Amazon, ebay and many other legit sites issue tracking cookies to track what you do customise the site for you Your ISP has poor spam blocking controls, I know on average a customer of ours gets 1-4 junk mail a day that is unsolicited, and catching spam is a pricey and compex manner. You in no way have ever gotten spam from a cookie, A cookie cannot harvest your email address and send it out, albeit yes for the sake of arguing gmail's cookie would know your gmail address. There is a way to stop spam and not lose messages, and an intelligent ISP does so with a well staffed team dedicated to it. I know my personal email, I use for buisness, many sites (Ebay, amazon, naxcom, beckett, target, walmart , countless other merchants) have this email, I may get 1 spam message every 2 days, its possible a website read your browser headers, or you just had spyware. I suggest you going to https://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd22 and clicking proceed and taking the browser header test, among other tests. Paranoia with computers is usually, no offense, out of ignorance because those are the customers who install 3 or 4 firewalls because 20/20 scared them. To be efficient with computers and support thousands of users on a daily basis you need to know the difference betweeen using and abusing the setting. ~Das

  9. yes. Does anyone remember the messiahs?
  10. While I agree that you should never use your RS password for anything else than runescape, I can assure you this is not a scam either 99% of the time. #1) For example, The clan I'm in requires you to apply on our clan forum with your Runescape Name. I know many clans require the same because its easier to keep track of people that way. So honestly, a clan requesting you to apply with your username dosent necessarly mean its a scam. #2) If they are using a forum such as invisionfree or some free forum like that, they CANNOT even look at the password you applied with. This dosent mean its safe to use your runescape password, but keep in mind any password you use they cannot see what it is. Custom forums like Tipits are a little different, but most clans dont have custom forums like tipit. #3) I know when recruiting people, sometimes the website is kinda hard to find and recruiters can be a bit pushy on trying to get you to find the site. This is also not necessarly a sign of scamming. Overall, i think your just thinking to hard in the matter. Above all never use your runescape PASSWORD as another password. However I can tell you alot of the clans out there will require you to sign up with your RSN. So dont freak out when they ask you this, its not ushally leading to a scam. As long as you dont use your Runescape password, having your RSN means nothing to them. They could easily look down a tipit member list and find a random RSN. As long as you dont use your runescape password and never give any hints to it, you are 100% safe. Quoting this guy for truth. As someone who ran clans for close to four years, I can tell you just because we have a forum doesnt mean we are a scam, I can also tell you that clans did things for a very long time, half a decade before they offered any form of clan support, and those clans will keep on doing the same thing they have been.
  11. It fails to reason why anyone would want anything less than a full Time host.
  12. Sorry, but we do not help people who are looking for help circumventing parental controls or logging on the machine by parents. Perhaps you should ask your parents why they look ;) ~Das
  13. Reformat.
  14. Ours was pretty cool. Done by turtlefemm.
  15. Perhaps un-needed my gaming history could help, I have played countless mud's 4/8/16 games that graphics aside, were enjoyable and fun. Sure Graphics are welcome, but I dont need them to add joy to my game, I have played hours on end at looking at a screen of text, which is as far from flash as you can get. I cant wait to see them, so I can see how far Jagex can push java, but its not centric or even wanted for my gaming. Some of us, have been maxed out for awhile, and some have also been mased out before that was released (not me) so that *Reward* is not that great, for many, CW is a great safe team versus team PVP environment. lots could be done to improve this and no, we all dont want to play clan wars . that capture the flag dynamic is unique. Variety is the spice of life, and my view is mine, I am not trying to convince you, just share my perspective with you. I am unaware of your age, but in the early days of gaming, functionality verus flash was a massive argument :P
  16. Its not about a month off from the upgrades. It is about the fact when we get new content, it comes out and then more new new new stuff is slammed at us while those old content updates are seldom visted. Although to be frank, I am unsure of each machines spec's I feel more games on the 360 are flashier than the WII games by a mile, or at least I know I would not enjoy Cow Racing and other things on other systems, I know I wouldnt of bought the party pack on another system. ingenuity and the abilty to offer older things revisted is something that I love, Replay value at times can be absent from your average runescape update. Classic hit over a million subscribers. and for a game that looks this corny. Thats saying you dont need graphics to achieve some success.
  17. since july 2001 I have explored quite a bit of the content. :P To me, graphics are nothing when I grew up on games like these
  18. He already said it wasnt the kind of files I download :P
  19. They used to do ip downloads by a range, I havent used it in a few years
  20. Rapidshare is not just for .RARS, .zips, .mpegs and even .jpegs are on those servers. They do not compress anything In short, there is no way bypass the *Free* limit short of paying for unlimited downloads especially on a static IP, even on an Dynamic IP, rapidshare usually will say you have used X amount of downloading and to come back at X time, as they do IP logging in IP Ranges last as I remember.. Time is a free price to pay for free downloading, and those files will still be there after the time expires, unless of course they are violating rapidshares T.O.S
  21. Not when the darn thing is set to only use the integrated graphics and nothing else. Wasn't funny, fixing that 8-ball... ~D. V. Devnull Going to back Nadril. It should detect the new one unless you have no administrator rights that prohibit new hardware such as work or parental controls. I installed a video card in my work machine, and 4-5 others with integrated cards and never had to do anything to the integrated.
  22. So down upon your self yes. hohto is nub  Almost as big of a noob as you. Of course, I was your virgin sacrifice!
  23. i Think she had this in mind
  24. If I work for a Christian internet company and WE have no issues with youtube, I dont see the issues of related Videos. Most mature content videos are 18+ and do NOT show up in related. As far as the video question. WWE, RAP etc is 900 times worse than that. Ive used the youtube code elsewhere and NO problems using the last part of the link in the url. Those 14 year old kids May be playing GTA, watching wrestling, listening to rap, death metal and youtube does a dang good job of policing its content.
