  1. You have enough money to cannon but not enough money for Do No Evil? wut. I think you're severely underestimating the costs of cannonballs. They're by no means cheap and you burn them pretty quickly if you're power slaying. In addition, you talk about profiting from slayer - a lot of the slower tasks (exp wise) are actually pretty decent for profit. I would also do the hellhound tasks - they're extremely fast and drop decent amounts of gold charms. Not the very best exp but 87 gp per charm ain't bad and it's cheap at less then 3 gp/exp. HOWEVER, you seem to be in a financial rut. If this is the case, you shouldn't be slaying to get sub-par money. Honestly, slayer isn't good profit (unless you decide to take hours per task and bank everything - without yak). At most, you cover the costs of potions/food/etc but I don't think you really recover the cost of cannonballs - especially for: -Hellhounds -Kalphites -Abberant Spectres -Greater Demons -Black Demons -Suqahs This is just generally what I've seen at least. Since I don't have a yak - I can't store those dragon bones/infernal ashes and what not. I rather just finish the task then spend hours just banking them.
  2. GRATS! (nice comments about fulfilling your life - teehee)
  3. its also VERY volatile at times. Honestly - pick out some and just try to buy it at both the clean + unfinished prices However, I tried it a couple of times and the money is not that good - barely about 300-400k an hour depending on the pots and how long you do it for. It's not something I would advise doing - hunting green/blue/black dragons is MUCH more worth it
  4. Do the Do No Evil Quest and unblock Kalphites. I don't think fire giants are bad exp if you cannon them in the resource dungeon but you would need to double check on that. http://forum.tip.it/topic/293611-slayer-list/
  5. ^Would you always keep the dino armor on? It seems like if you have it - and you're switching weapons, you can just unequip it as your switching your ring mode
  6. I would suggest making about 1k extreme defenses or so ^Whatever is enough to make into overloads really You can always pick them up at a later time but it seems that herblore is super cheap at the moment Alternatively, you could use the money for prayer It's a little more expensive and if you're at level 70 - the next real update is at level 95 HOWEVER, if there's ever another bonus exp weekend - you can train herblore but not prayer People have been saying that it should take place around in September - so I would look into that
  7. Hey, I was wondering about level mods? It's the bonus for killing the monsters you encounter right? Is there any more information about it? -Does clearing all monsters give a positive bonus? -Is there a percentage of monsters that you have to kill for each mod? Any more information about this would be greatly appreciated!
  8. First off, I would just like to say you're =/= your Anyhow - I think this data can only give general trends - how would you figure out what % of the game is botting? There's so many other factors involved in game play (even right after an update), it's hard to figure out whose botting and what not. I guess it's useful as a cursory indicator of things and luckily there's a program that records this all for you (or else this would just suck to manage :P)
  9. I think the problem isn't with this new program from Grimy/Wicked, but potentially with some DG'ers I'm not saying this is the case - but I'm sure that some people might start using that mapping/key program to manually record every single key While that's not a detriment really, it can slow down the DG - if the keyer is stopping at every room to put keys on the map. ^This probably can be easily solved by just doing it in a DG or when idle, but not everybody would do that This takes away from actually learning how to DG (A large part of which is recognizing the map and how to proceed) and simplifies it to a point to which it may be actually harmful to the users in question. However, I find that when used right - these programs are a lot of help and can considerably boost your DG experience but should not be entirely relied on. Either way, I think with time - even using this programs would make remembering keys/doors, and even to pick up random things almost second nature to you
  10. Why try to read through all these numbers - if sooner or later, somebodys just going to pop in and answer in less then a sentence. As you can see - Sy produced all the possible ranges of incomes, along with exactly when to pot and the OP says he can't make 750k an hour. If you cant make 750k an hour, pot every 4 minutes (as Sy said) ^which you should be able to - and while the "secret flipping" methods have not been divulged, there are easily 5+ methods that multiple people advocate that can accomplish this. If you don't want to do make this money because it's "boring" or "takes too long", then you can't reap the benefits. There's no point in handicapping yourself and ask "How can I be rich and make all these expensive things but not earn any money at all" Now if there are any questions to making money, I'll post some methods here (which you probably already know by now but just to clarify) -Green dragons in chaos tunnels -Blue dragons in taverley -Black dragons in evil chicken lair -Frost dragons -Farming every hour -Mort Myre Fungus picking -Grenwalls (they seem to be selling at a lot over their median) -Making Unf Pots (you gotta test the buy/sell at various prices before you do it - as the median GE prices are not good indicators of profit) -Dailies - I don't do them all but I can make around 500k by doing 4 of them or so @Aceripper, What exactly is an "ideal estimate"? Did you test it out at various stats/time and came up with the conclusion? What is this "ideal" referring to? An acceptable amount of kills? (If so, where is this amount) A decent enough cost/benefit ratio? (If so, how did you measure that) Anyhow, this topic has gone by way longer then it should have - and I don't see how Grimy/Fire Rage's posts could be any more clearer.
  11. Can you even use a cannon at barrows?
  12. It's clear that he's not trying to read all the math behind when to pot. @Fire_R_A_G_E -just repot every 5 minutes
  13. They should be chosen too if there are any magic puzzles that require boosting. Oh, what's the logic for staff users doing portal rooms? I'm not 100% sure, but for the portal room - you're supposed to have everybody stand on a specific tile However, there is supposedly a glitch where if one person stands on the tile and then relogs - the room unlocks Presumably, this would fill their csb
  14. And strength as well. If only there were other ways to train atk/def :(
  15. A while ago - when I wanted to train summoning, I looked up some information on monsters with good charm drops. I always heard that Wallasalki's were good charm droppers but killing them is a hassle. Don't they have a tendency to run away once they get to a certain hp? How do you deal with it?
  16. For thieving - I don't think Pyramid Plunder is good until 80? (double check that) or so For mining - Granite is your only option For Nomad - it's doable but it may be hard to do I had a pretty easy time doing it with range (which IMO you should opt for as well) - so get that up to at least 80 or so and it'll be a piece of cake You shouldn't be spending money on herb runs - you should be making money on herb runs Other ways to make money: 1.) Kill dragons - green in wildy, blue in taverley dungeon, black in the place RFD unlocks, and frosts - at the frost dungeon ^A LOT of these places may be infested with bots - and in that case, you should just hop onto a foreign world 2.) Dailies - I usually buy the broad unfinished arrow/bolts, the ingredient to make tbirds near Oolong, and staves 3.) Unf pots - I do these sometimes when waiting for a DG team to get ready ^NOTE: THE GE PRICES ARE NOT CORRECT - the unf sell for a great deal below their med so just comparing the listed GE prices may be wrong 4.) Picking Mort Myre Fungus/Whiteberries - I don't like these methods as you have to pay too much attention for the comparatively low gains 5.) Keep your popularity at Miscellania up - I collect once every two weeks and I keep my workers at 10 maple, 5 coal but if you're collecting often - you should put 9 workers at maple and 6 at coal
  17. Have you tried it? Honestly, its the most annoying thing ever - unless you get on right after an update. At any given time, there is always 4+ bots in there. There's also more who are running to and from the bank. It's just absolutely horrible. However, you can get on foreign worlds. At first, it's a little confusing but you should remember what drop is what as long as you stick to the same foreign worlds.
  18. If you want summoning and good exp - try out slayer exp. It's generally NOT >100k an hour (more around 80-90k ish melee exp) but it levels up slayer which is slow so you should start asap. Also, many of the tasks that are assigned are great if not some of the best charm droppers in the game. The slayer helm bonus is pretty great in addition to the generally weak monsters that you get assigned
  19. You can always go to an foreign world (which is what I usually do) It gets a little bit confusing - sometimes as the items are hidden under the cannon and you can't see it. However, if you stick to the same foreign world - within 2-3 tasks, you'll know what's what. (At least the important stuff - i.e charms, ashes, effigy)
  20. Run it on chrome It's already working Press the left Ctrl
  21. Incidentally - I've been using a void set (elite) instead of spending money on Karils. I'm not sure how good Karils are - but if you have a bunyip, and you pray range - you can probably finish a task with the void top/robe Just pray when your less them like 1/3 or so life left. I found that the prayer bonus is helpful (as opposed to just wearing bandos) and it lets you finish a task faster (by way of piety)
  22. why pickpocket master farmers at 78 thieving? i smell something fishy going on :---)
  23. If you have extremes - it shouldn't be to difficult to stew up to overloads. It's honestly a lot better then having to restore after every brew.
  24. I've only been there a couple of times. I was only there for the uptimes (or so I assume) Both the mine rocks ran out pretty quickly and I had to run to the other one. There were a lot of times that both rocks were in the process of respawning. I would suggest taking the lava titan unless you can find some people who would be able to tank the hits so you can go into an empty world. If this happens - the war tort would probably be better.
