  1. I noticed you had 72 summoning - that means you should be using the artic bear for the +7 invisible hunting boost. It actually does help quite a bit
  2. Finally got myself a new cape - now, to throw that old obsidian garbage away I tried Nomad twice with elite void, he hits through it like nothing :( Had to go buy Karil's Top + Dragonfire Shield :( Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  3. For this case - if you're going to training heavily on one monster, I'm pretty sure elite would be better (if you replaced the void gloves with barrow gloves and used a deflector instead) Obviously, if you're going to be training slayer - the elite void can't be worn/won't help much. - As for PC points, I felt that watching movies while playing conquest was a pretty decent way to earn tokens. The next best alternative is playing in the Veteran's boat but often, there's so many bots - it's not always a good idea. If you do decide to play on boats instead, you should just hang around the knight and let brawlers come to block off the path. If there aren't any - go kill off the defilers and whatever that are inside the base attacking it.
  4. You seem to be under the impression that DGS exists only as a tool for you to obtain chaotics with. DGS is not about overworld rewards, it is about creating better dungeoneers and making floors fast, efficient, and a learning experience. If that extra 2% DPS from 4/5 people is needed to be more efficient (especially when the token cost isn't that high for someone at your level), everyone should strive to upgrade his or her ring. It isn't unreasonable to ask for one to better their skills if the levels they are at are in fact detrimental to the team (i.e. sub 60s in all door skills). However, you seem to have misinterpreted and bastardized my argument. Please don't put words into my mouth for me. If you're going for 300k tokens, wouldn't it make sense to upgrade your ring first so that you can get those 300k tokens faster? I don't know about you, but saving time is good. In fact, you can even use that extra time to go do some Nex, if that's what you desire. I will agree that DG tactics are far more important that an additional 1-2% DPS increase from the RoK, but really, it's not like that extra DPS is hard to get (actually, it doesn't take anymore effort. Think of it as free, additional DPS). Tokens are not hard to obtain once you are at a higher Dungeoneering level. Are there any numbers for an approximate number of Lifepoints for the sum of all monsters in all guardian doors for an average dungeon? I feel that that number could give a rough graph on how much time can be saved per floor by upgrading the RoK. This sounds a little unreasonable. By your own argument - you wouldn't stop to get any reward - be it chaotics, small rewards, anything until you have maxed out your two rings right? After all, any token not put into receiving that 1:1exp ratio or put into the ring would be detrimental to the team. Honestly, that 1 or 2% isn't the most incredible thing ever - considering you're not standing whacking away at monsters. Just look at the comparison between your combat exp/dg exp after a day of dg'ing. The ratio is obscenely small. Yeah sure, "optimally" speaking, you would max out your ring asap before even going for any reward - but I think the real reason people really require T7 early on is because of the super low costs (a whopping cumulative ~13k tokens) while T8 costs more then all the levels before that put together and the percentage increase is actually very noticeable.
  5. I had a question about familarisation. After a loooooong time - I decided to finally just try it out today: I played it once today and I know that it will take me a week before I can play it again. Now, is that one week starting from when I finished the game (so I can play next Saturday?) or is it 24x7 hours from when I started the game? I also remember (I'm not even sure if it's pertaining to Distractions & Diversions) but I remember reading about how the week resets on Wednesday(?) or something for most things? Now, I'm kind of hazy and remember slightly glancing past this comment a while ago. On another note, if I don't have access to the Ghorock Fortress and I won't be able to do that well in the Chaos Tunnels - Which spot in the AC, should I kill waterfiends? I was killing them downstairs of the whirlpool (right next to the nasty brutal dragon - who killed me the first time I jumped down). Occassionally an undead barbarian wanders in and starts smacking me. However, I did see a area with water fiends across the map (but looked to be on a lower level). Is this any good at all?
  6. I bring a bunch of random stuff to black demon slayer tasks (herbicide, infernal urns, holy wrench, spec weapon) I also have two extreme atk/strs + cannon/cannonball, slayer ring and a house tele and a bunyip pouch. The rest of my spots are used for prayer pots. I find that I cannot pray piety + protect def for a whole task without having to bank. I can either protect the whole time and pray flash piety or just take piety off towards the end. I'm not extremely far away but with 0 prayer - I don't think I can tank more then 1/2 black demons before having to port out. Maybe it's because I have a low prayer or maybe it's some other reason but I definitely cannot finish a task leaving protect melee/piety on the whole time. Well there are multiple solutions to this problem, sorry if I'm going off topic here in advance. First, you could learn how to peity flash and then you would save a moderate amount of prayer. I don't know if it would be enough to make it all the way through your tasks. Second you could take a terrorbird rather then a bunyip. You are praying anyways and not taking damage so those 12 prayer pots would help a lot more. A slayer ring is never really needed, with a calculator and some scrap paper you can track your kills using a pencil and scratch paper along with your slayer exp. So that would lessen your prayer usage while giving you a number more spots for prayer potions. Really defense isn't actually needed anywhere in slayer. It's not like I don't know how to flash - i just like afking while watching movies. I guess the terrorbird would just solve my problems really.
  7. It's not bad. Your cashpile can be invested to make a lot more. However, you should try to sell/drop some of your junk. It'll just make ti easier for the future (unless you plan on RC-ing soon :P)
  8. don't try to get the void set. it's not useful when pking (considering when you die - they all go poof), dueling/combat (the defense is horrible) and when doing slayer tasks - a black mask/full helm is better. OT, you should work on leveling herblore (money make via farming) and just train slayer. Being a member - you can invest in MTK to make a bit of money. Slayer is pretty profitable (just not as lucrative as higher level slaying) You might want to try to figure out a way to get your magic up - it speeds up a lot of things and makes walking around RS more bearable. Unfortunately - RS is unlocked through years of play time. It really takes about a year or so to get access to a lot of the higher end, "more fun" stuff.
  9. What's the point in the algorithm analysis? You can realize it takes 15 steps or less but how long is it going to think of the solution? You can just move 3-4 tiles then force imbue a couple. Saves a bunch of time and lots of headache. Pretty sure - that nobody is going to waste a bunch of hours figuring how to solve them all (it's not really that interesting of a topic) Was hoping there was a quick 5-6 step approach that would solve the puzzle :( Apparently not.

  11. Rigour - everytime you use range really For the ccbow - the only uses I've heard it being a powerhouse is at nex. It seems that everywhere else, the hand cannon/karil's crossbow is better (but more expensive to use as well)
  12. It's somewhat useful. There's a slight difference at Black demons which may or may not mean the difference between being able to tank them when using cannon or not. At the very least, they do save some prayer points
  13. I'm confused - you want us to do this for free?
  14. I would probably just do ape atoll over the wilderness course. Stack up on summer pies - weight reducing gear and a regen bracelet.
  15. Watermelons, herbs/flowers + magic secateur yield ~10k ish exp per run (which is decent imo) Farming the highest fruit trees/trees you can also adds a bit to exp. Questing is probably one of the best ways to get farming exp as well. http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Quest_experience_rewards ^This is a pretty good list. Other then that, minesweeper/livid farm (requires level 60 farming) are your only real options. The problem with farming is that - it's generally a "slow" skill that reward those who farm everyday. There isn't any amazing way to grind out farming due to all the wait time involved.
  16. Also, mediums will prepare you more for larges. Trying to cut down med times will really enhance your experience with ggs/personal ggs. Larges are great too - but you do encounter higher chance of death (which can be completely unavoidable at times in any stage - really)
  17. The fighter torso is good but it takes a pretty huge time investment (when playing BA) Many people will opt to money make for the X amount required to get the BCP instead - which has much higher defensive bonuses and can be liquidated if something crazy happens (super crash in herb/prayer/who knows what) Fighter Torsos cannot be sold on the GE - so there's no way to even see even part of that return back (in the form of money at least) However, BA is pretty interesting so those who like it may value the time spend getting the BCP better spend as opposed to grinding farming herbs, frost dragons or whatever is the best method one utilizes to make 18m.
  18. The problem isn't that nobody can post advice but DGS - but rather "don't post advice if you don't have enough knowledge on the subject" Not all OPS come back after their question is answered. So the OP could just be DG-ing with all the wrong ideas and passing it onto his friends and yada-yada. IMO, unless you have experience in the subject (or at least researched the subject) - you don't want to post on it. Referring to RSOF/RS datbase/RS wiki isn't always enough as these places are full of mistakes. At the very least - these databases may not always phrase things the right way, which can easily lead to misunderstandings Think: Chaotic weapons in multi combat situations.
  19. I'm just curious. How much does that titan's constitution scroll heal you?
  20. What if the rewards program was actually to "reward" the paying members. Since the membership cost is about to go up again - they're going to have to justify it even more. There's no way for Jagex to look good - you can find fault with anything they ever do. "Oh, too much new quests and not enough material" "Too many capes and not enough quests" What is a company supposed to do? :/
  21. there are cars that can drive themselves
  22. its cheap - speeds up your kills and produces a profit. not going there is like going there without a weapon. on another note whip > korasi/leaf bladed for blue dragons their defence is low enough that the added accuracy/str bonus from a whip is better then their "weakness" to stab. really - the only place you would might want to use a korasi/leaf bladed over a whip might be at steel/mithrils (not even sure if this is true)
  23. i don't know about vyrewatches for dragons: use melee - bring a dragon defender and some anti fire potions (supers if you want to level it up) the fastest place is probably taverley dungeon (the DG) area but I don't know if this is true anymore or not with all the bots If you're going to bank all the bones + hides - you can probably get a full inventory off of a normal dragonfire potion + 5 monkfishes max
  24. Rapiers are > then whip (always) Honestly though - if you get some of the other awards from dungeoneering, you'll be at a point where (hopefully) your dg skills as well as your access to higher levels will make it such that gaining that next chaotic isn't such a daunting task. If you try to die less and try to learn what to do in DG - it's not terribly hard to get ~150-200k at around level 85-90. This isn't even when you get access to the faster/more exp floors. It also helps when you dg with DGS. The abandons I've done there are tons faster then ANY abandons I've ever done with anybody. (It helps that a decent amount of people in DGS have hexhunters too)
  25. Is there a guide for a strategic approach to this? Usually if I occur these in the DG - I try to make as many of one tile as possible then force flip the others. Should I actually learn how to solve these?
