you won't get all those levels from just dungeoneering. also, chaotic weapons are a bit risky to use in the wildy (of course unless if it's the item you protect) however, since it would protect over claws (iirc) then you couldn't spec as well. Anyways - most people like using the maul for pvp due to a high hit potential. ^i.e get an opponent to low-ish health and hope for a massive maul hit.

At what level is it efficient to use an effigy
LitterBug replied to Iamfarming's topic in Help and Advice
well - looking at your stats, it looks like you can either use it on slayer/runecrafting (well - that's where you would use it) Since you have to max your combats (if you're going for end game), I would suggest just using all your dragonkin lamps on RC. -
Dungeonsweepers (DGS) - Huge changes; read first post.

not really. larges aren't 2x the size of meds (as far as i know) also you have to account for your boss time. Each room doesn't take the same amount of time (e.g guardian rooms take longer then normal rooms, etc) and in some cases - the boss rooms take longest of all. -

What Bosses can i do or do i still need work?
LitterBug replied to Phyrexial's topic in Help and Advice
If you want to boss efficiently (or solo really) - you should get at least a chaotic rapier (and longsword/maul as needed) It's not having access to turmoil/ss as well as overloads - but you should really think about getting -summoning up (get it to at least 71 for war torts) -strength up (95 attack is good but 95 strength trumps attack in most cases) -magic/defense (supposedly magic defense depends on your magic level too) It seems to me that in a lot of the solo bosses guides that I've read - they really try to emphasize staying power (which will be greatly enhanced by BOBs and defense) You have sufficient stats to do a lot of bossing in teams but if you want to solo you really only have: -TD's -Barrows -Dagganoth Kings These are pretty obvious but I'll list them anyways -Giant Mole -KBD -
Also, if you're doing the temple of ikov - your run energy matters as well i believe

The main problem that I have is with: -cannonable tasks -black demons -steel dragons For these tasks, I can't manage to conserve all my prayer cause I have to pray an attack style as well Is this a problem? (I always bring a dds/korasi to spec) I do have the requirements to get an EEE - so I can do that if needed
-
my main question was whether you could pray turmoil and leave it on without having to bank. what armor do you use? If it is pros - is pros + leaving turmoil on > bandos + flash piety/turmoil (whichever is better?)
-
Reasonably fast magic/smithing exp poop-y crafting exp
-
For those that power slay - do you keep turmoil on for the whole monster (in order to reap the total benefits) or do you just keep the 15/23/15 bonus? If you're flashing turmoil - would it make more sense to to grab piety instead (if you don't need the healing from soul split)
-
Also, this is in line with increasing your herblore - but getting super anti fires are especially helpful I've been using them (and so I use a ddef instead of a antidragon fire shield) and I've definately seen a noticeable increase in kill speed at iron/steel dragons (with piety) I'm not so sure about the difference in kill speed at colored dragons (blues are relatively fast regardless and the cannon does a huge portion of damage at black) but I would still recommend getting super anti fires. I would also DG to past 81 (get some smaller rewards along the way - the scroll of cleansing/life/etc)
-
So - it's hearsay basically? Grimy probably has it set to a conservative estimate. You can't very easily incorporate everybody's level in writing a spreadsheet.
-
Where did you get this information from? (Mainly the fact that herb death rates are fixed at 15% when using super compost?) The level up page itself says that leveling farming decreases the chance of death
-
You really should stick with Kuradel. It's funny that you want dust devil and etc but honestly, you're complaining about some of the best tasks out there. Black demons and greater demons are extremely fast (good charm drop as well). Waterfiends are not the fastest if you're doing them in AC but they're amazing charm droppers. I've never even had a mithril dragon task :P If it makes you feel better - I've been getting dust devil tasks. They're not extremely slow but they're not fast either. They also don't drop anything at all.
-
i'm not sure what you said exactly but at level 78 combat - you would be killing them extremely slowly
-
the best place to bank is from the taverley resource dungeon. it really requires the agility to be effective (70 iirc) blue dragons aren't all that hard to kill but you shouldn't look at them for money at 78 combat. I really do suggest going to do blue dragon babies for now.

Pretty decent day - got two effigies during a black dragon task Level 68-69 Slayer today Uploaded with ImageShack.us Level 90 Atk Uploaded with ImageShack.us Sorry about the funny scrub videos :P I get bored :( -
I'm pretty sure that farm level affects whether your herbs die or not (at least, that's what the level up page says)
-
You might want to go to three heavies (one of each race) just to make things slightly faster. Of course, this will all depend on the games you are playing - so it might not actually make a difference.
-
having a bow sighted is only good if you're f2p (didn't even know it worked in f2p) otherwise - it sucks. how does a sighted long bow hit accurately on any defense level regardless of your gear? unless youre fighting level 2 men in full rune, it most certainly makes a difference. it explains the whole reason that people hybrid - they change not only the weapon but the armor as well
-
Quyneax is a her? Yes. Either way - you definately do get back more credit then you wagered whether you win or lose. If you can win, the credit boost is pretty significant but 4 minute loses are a sure fire way to get up your credits. Plus you want to get your rank up for the onyx ring - so why not kill two birds with one stone
-
For starters - you should get the extremes. you should also go for special restore potions as well as super antifire potions
-
^ this. I was like that too - I trained all my f2p stats to above 70ish before going p2p (except DG of course) EVERYTHING in p2p is so much faster. Also, it's better to learn how to get around and do a bunch of quests when you're lower leveled. I was really frustrated the first few weeks or so (more like overwhelemed) with everything you could do in P2P. Since it was my first time, I wanted to try a lot of things out but I had trouble getting places or I had to spend a lot of time just preparing how to best approach an event. My advice is just to get to P2P and just start questing and unlocking lots of the travel routes/MTK/etc. Trust me, this will ease the burden of everyday tasks!
-
While that is true - you have to take into account your slower kill speed A rapier will still be better then a sighted longbow - the extra accuracy (and higher cannon hits) < the loss in dps in not using melee However, this might be a good thing to look into if you're ranging your tasks
