  1. Seems the general consensus from people I know who slay a lot is to continue to use Ferocious Ring in Kuradal's Dungeon and the Berserker Ring or Berserker Ring (i) for any outside her Dungeon. You can still get the drops without the RoW equipped and even with the RoW equipped they're not all that common.
  2. Pretty much this. You will find as well when killing certain Slayer Monsters such as Abyssal Demons and Dark Beasts that it shines on every kill (I think it's because they have a unique drop? Not entirely sure though) but almost all the time it wont actually be a drop. Also I believe that a "no drop" is classed as a rare drop, in which case your ring will shine but you will get the normal 100% drop and nothing more.
  3. Your topic title (and 90% of the post) does imply this topic is about discussing the fact that Woox16 has quit RS, rather than what the actual purpose of the topic is (To discuss when Jagex would cross the line for people) :P
  4. Edit: Sniped by Mirror <_< Never had an issue with forum speeds, but any update to improve them can only be a good thing! Now I know very little about this but will it help to improve the forum uptime at all?
  5. To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if it was at least partially deliberate to try and lower their price, the idea was thrown around a bit when there was the MTK 'glitch' back in August/September last year when people got millions of gp worth of herbs and seeds a few weeks before BXP weekend. Of course they could just have bad QA, the RoW update was probably far more an oversight than the MTK one since the update that caused the MTK glitch didn't directly effect it I don't think (Elite Clues or Court Summons I think?)
  6. This, though I do know who he is. Zezima and Zarfot were more well known and in Zarfot's case more influential than Woox16 and yet when they quit we didn't get a topic about it because really, no matter what you do in RS you will always be just "one player". Pretty much every post in this topic has been people saying they don't know who he is or care that he quit, so it's not really the end of an era  I will probably quit RS for good if they make it possible to buy items or money.
  7. Always wondered why they never introduced a cape for maxed skills despite the high demand for one so I guess this is good  I guess it will either be purely cosmetic or have better stats than the SW Cape. Should be interesting to see though.
  8. Finally got my second Chaotic  Is it worth me using it on Wyverns without SS or will I just get wiped out by their ice breath?
  9. Yea, my first thought was that RoW would have 0 use in Kuradal's dungeon but it seems that the chance of an extra million gp or more per task seems more worthwhile so the Ferocious Ring is kind limited in it's usefulness. Steel and Iron Dragons are the only dangerous things in there so your suggestion would make a lot more sense.
  10. Some of these I have got myself, some I have heard from friends or in CCs: Dark Beasts: 50 Rune Bars (noted) ?? Onyx Bolts(?) Vecna Skull Dragon Dagger Abyssal Demons: Several K of Coal Ore (noted) Dragon Dagger Vecna Skull It seems like some monsters have had their charm drop rates altered too, I had a 40 blue charm DB task (200 assigned) when before I've barely got over 20. Could be luck though.
  11. From the Runescape Twitter:
  12. Managed to get 74-79 Agility and 80-81 Farming. Also according to the Dev Blog this was supposed to finish yesterday but it still seems to be going
  13. I agree. Gloves would also be a lot more useful (assuming they one day make skilling ones) for slower skills like Agility and RC than the current BXP weekends. It would also mean that people who have a life outside RS at the weekend don't lose out :P
  14. I've gone from 74-76 and feel the exact same, but it will save several hours and some sanity so it will be worth it in the end :P
  15. You should aim to start using Ape Atol at around level 70 agility as you start to fail it a lot less and the xp rate is pretty similar to Wilderness and Werewolf courses. At level 74 you will fail only a couple of times an hour and at 75 you will stop failing it all together.
  16. Not looking good for the Nuclear Plant, they're talking about releasing radioactive steam to relieve the build up of pressure and Japan has been hit by another earthquake thought not to be an aftershock which measured 6.6 :ohnoes: Apparently the tsunami has done around $2m worth of damage to the west coast of America as well. On a related note, the 8.9 earthquake shifted the Earth's axis by around 10 inches (25cm).
  17. It also seems unlikely that the tsunami will cause any major damage to other countries due to it being small when it's hit land so far. Japan is still being hit by aftershocks measuring between 4 and 5 on the Richter Scale though.
  18. Just watching the live coverage on BBC News 24, the images and videos are scary stuff especially the waves carrying burning buildings and massive debris. Tsunami alerts are in place in Russia, Indonesia, The Philippines, New Zealand, Australia, Peru and Hawaii. My thoughts go out to everyone affected.
  19. Aside from the Ring of Wealth update there isn't anything we know about. It is likely though that armours and weapons will go up again after BXP weekend as people begin to buy back what they sold.
  20. Use the Soul Wars bank, you wont get any randoms in there at all until you leave through the portal to Edgeville.
  21. Yes you get the xp you would get if you were using a furnace and you will get the extra xp if wearing Gauntlets. It's about 120k Magic xp and 130k Smithing xp/hr if you pay attention.
  22. Fix'd Looks like the exp rates are fairly decent, it hasn't made Smithing any less useless but I guess at least it's a cheaper useless skill than it was before  Glad they fixed the Chaos and Cosmic shields too. :P
  23. Air Battlestaves are the best way to go. Buy the Battlestaves and Air Orbs, make the staves and then high alch them, this way you wont make as much loss as selling them on the GE (even if you buy the nature runes). The only slight downside is that you can only buy 100 battlestaves every 4 hours off the GE so unless you get some friends to help, you might have a bit of a wait.
  24. My thoughts exactly, massively overdue
  25. Probably wont be able to compete with things like Skype but it will be good for those who don't have Skype for whatever reason.
