Photography Thread II
And we all shed a tear for the roll backs :'( Just curious if the old Photo of the month competition will be starting up again, who will run it etc etc. I'm willing to put my hand up to help organise it, if anyone wants any help. Yesh. On a side note, i will hopefully be buying a Pentax K20D within the next month, maybe two. Has anyone had any experience with this camera? It looks great from reviews and the specs, i'm really looking forward to 14.6mp instead of my measly 6, as well as all of the other goodies, of course.

Atheist v. God (Real Life Essay)
Ha, so did I. What a hypocritical post , saying that we're all too arrogant to think about other people ha. Get out more, seriously, you might actually discover that being an atheist doesn't make you an emo, apparently the majority of people on this board are depressed and constantly thinking about taking there life, love it. Labeling all emo's atheist is wrong too, you can't just generalise without any sort of data backing your arguments up, especially in an essay, which this is not. I have absolutely nothing wrong with any religion, it is what other people choose to believe because it suits them, Christianity suits you, Atheism suits me. You can't just trample people's belief systems, that's going against all that you are trying to preach in your article. There is also things called moral values, they that are exactly what the church teaches, albeit in a more iron-handed way. This is what all human beings, regardless of belief system use to discern how to act in a situation, and the type of person that you are is defined by your interpretation of them, so saying that all Atheists are ruthless, cold hearted bastards is completely false, it is another massive generalisation and only shows your ignorance about other people, and in particular the group of people who you chose to pick on. Your first kiss
Totally agreed, my first kiss was at a school dance, at 14, but it was gay afterwards, i was going nuts when it happened though ha. My first true kiss would have been 3 months ago, with my girlfriend, on the floor of her bedroom ha, what a moment. Oh, i'm 16 now, and there wasn't any kissing in between that, so don't worry about it guys. I'd much rather scrap my first actual kiss from my memory, it's much more satisfying having an amazing one than going out and kissing someone for the sake of it, imo anyway. RM

Scone or Skon?
Skon all the way, if anyone in Australia pronounced it as 'Scone' then they'd just be laughed at...

your favorite quotes
"Organised people are just too lazy to look for things." - Unknown "Death is like a [bleep], it comes for everyone, and when it does, you're (screwed)" - Hilltop Hoods song, can't remember which "The Amiable man seeks to change himself to suit the world. The difficult man seeks to change the world to suit himself, thus all progress depends on the difficult man." - George Benard Shaw, used in an english speech on whether the relationship between the indivual and his/her society is symbiotic. Interesting question.

Victory! Triumph! I'm a Hero!
Ha nice work. It's funny you lot carrying on about spiders, we commonly have huntsmans in our house, they can get up to something like 15cm in diameter in extreme cases, usually around ten. They're not poisonous though, and they're very timid, just leave them alone and they will do the same for you. My spider story would have to be on a school camp, we were in tents and i needed to go back and get my cup, which was in the tent. I open the fly, and open my bag, and aloh and behold there is a female funnelweb sitting in my cup haha. If anyone didn't know, they're the most poisonous spider in the world, and are only found in Australia. Yeah, i basically ran out of the tent to get a supervisor lol, i was pretty [cabbage] scared, and then he came, picked up the cup and carried it around to show everyone lol, it was rather nuts. Oh and who ever said crushing spiders, you can drop a house brick on a funnel web and they'll survive, very resiliant animals. They can survive for 2 days underwater without air too. RM

1980 Firebird 4.9L Turbo Formula
Love it, just love it. i'm so going to go to a junkyard and see what i can scrounge up :XD: Keep us posted, and you should set short term goals for yourself, replacing/restoring a certain part of the car before a certain date as to make sure that you don't lose interest and it ends up sitting in a garage for 20 years, that's going to be the biggest worry. Good luck though! RM

Embarrasing moments
My most embarrasing was when i wrote a text message to a good friend saying that i was going to ask a girl out, and how amazing she was blah blah, and then sending the text to the actual girl i liked haha... Her reply was 'that wasn't meant for me was it?' And i nearly died. Yeah, mildly awkward reply, but we've been going out for two months now anyway haha.

The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
All DS lite games work in the sturdy old Phatty. Atleast you can play the classic DS without fearing if you touch wrong it'll melt. Good old sturdy first-makes \ Ha i think he was referring to the case, not the game. Love first gen DS's, got mine in hong kong, it's white, so i was the envy of my mates haha. I'll look into getting this if it's as good as everyone says it is..

Relly pretty and really old games :D
Woah, looking back at that thread with the pictures i noticed descent! i'm going to have to find that now, i used to play that, and a game called hover which was these hovercraft things that you drove against a computer through a maze-like level to collect the flags. Super Metriod on SNES is up there, and we used to have our cousins mastersystem, so probably something on that, but i can't remember any of the games... Descent...

Fat or Skinny?
I'm 6 foot pretty much exactly, and i way something like 61kg. I eat so much though, it's kinda scary, for instance on sunday i ate a massive soup bowl full of porridge, the same pull with peaches and apricots of the tinned variety and twelve pancakes, biggish ones too, something like 20cm across. I love cholesterol! (er..)

What makes you feel good?
I love chilling with friends, preferably sitting under a tree or something, just lying there on a nice day relaxing and chatting away ha. Only seems to work with girls but. I also just playing music with other people, having a jam, soloing and such, it's sweet.

Are you a Happy Little Vegemite?
Vegemite! It truly is something that you either love with a passion, or detest. Love it myself, ever tried it on dry weetbix? it's grand. Offtopic mildly, but one of the boarders in my house today broke the record for the most weetbix eaten for one breakfast. Ready for it? twenty-seven. I no, crazy huh? that's a lot of fibre

Would you ever get a Tattoo?
As much as my family would hate me for doing it, i think i'll get a small southern cross on my left shoulder blade, more towards my neck, under where a t shirt collar would be. Just think it'd be cool, not terribly original, but still. Aussie patriotism and all that ha.

Im learning the Piano (again) O.o
Been playing 10 years, but i never really had my heart in it until maybe last year... I stopped because i hated the classical stuff, only do it if your going to enjoy it. It's great being able to pop round to people's places and play and sing pop songs that everyone knows, can you sing? Because if u can it opens up so much more things that you can do. Being able to jump in a band and sight read chords and stuff is a big bonus as well, i often have to do it for the school's jazz band or gigs for parties and stuff. As Runescape_Rocks said, improvisation is awesome fun. If you can't play the chords yourself, download jazz backing tracks to play along to. Just remember to have fun :D

Jake Brown- Anyone see it?
It's called being an Aussie mate, they breed em tough down here. I must say, that is quite remarkable though, even by our standards haha. This is a better video too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KBvCrSjpx9I&mode=related&search= It shows him walking off, and slow mo replays.
