  1. Tip.it's barrows guide is fairly comprehensive, have a look through it and then do post if you have any more questions. Guide

I know when I moved from a warm climate to the UK, I found it quite hard to adapt. As you said, my throat got really dry and made it hard to breathe. It's quite a bit easier now though, I think my body's become used to it. However, running when its really hot is difficult too, you just overheat. There's a balance somewhere.

I'm not on any prescriptions, just some paracetamol when I'm ill (like now -.-) Also strepsils, if those count.
  4. I didn't know him personally but I know he was a very large part of this community, and he will be missed. My thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time. R.I.P.
  5. I know of a person who's parents wanted him to go to uni (very rightly), but his condition was that he would do whatever he liked. Any degree is good, it shows you can commit to something. From what you're saying it seems like you agree with that sort of thing, so if you are this post is kinda pointless :P I don't really have enough knowledge about this to make a really concrete argument, but it seems the students oppose the rise because it's a way of filling in government cuts, not a way of improving universities. I have a feeling its a bit of both really, but mainly filling in the gap left by government cuts.
  6. A few things: Are you in the USA? Do you definatly want a prebuilt? Or would you be happy buying parts then building yourself or paying for it to be built. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883147367 is good if you're in the USA
  7. Yeah, no need for tiaras at all with the abyss. Try organising your bank, looking through it will make you see if you have any junk that you'll never use in it, then you can sell.
  8. That's actually a really interesting concept... next time I get nests from MTK I will try it, although I doubt it would work :( Do tell if it works, I don't think I'll be unloading my MTK for a while. EDIT: Yeah I think bladewing's nailed it.. I guess thats how Jagex got around that potential problem.
  9. There are a few types, but the thing you would probably be looking at is flipping. That is, buying a stable or rising item, then selling ASAP (bear in mind the 4 hour limit). An example of this for members is sharks. You generally want highly traded stuff, mainly raw materials. You could perhaps have a look at raw fish (tuna/lobbies I guess) and maybe logs. Buy 10 of the item first and then see if it sells, I think. Not entirely sure, haven't merched in a while. Good luck!
  10. I'm sure there are merchanting opportunities in F2P if you know what you're doing. That's always the biggest money-maker.
  11. countdown to -15000? :3 -377
  12. 5 -not being a mod ftw ;)
  13. It's pretty much been established that NK would loose any war against SK+US, which raises the question why do they mortar an island? Some kind of attempt at showing their 'superiority'?
  14. Very nice! Now I'm tempted to do WGS & go to TD's... :D
  15. Maybe play around with WinRAR and see what kind of size files you get by compressing into .rar, .7z etc? Or just remove the HDD and stick it into your desktop if it's got an IDE slot/you have an IDE cable.
  16. Yeah, expanding on what indy500fan said. You should really have a think if you really need a 10k RPM HDD/SSD before buying one seeing as they're quite expensive; a normal ~7000 RPM drive does most people very nicely (I know my HDD boots windows XP up really quite quickly).
  17. I would disagree, get a SSD instead of a mechanical HDD. They are a tad more expensive, but if that extra ~3000RPM really matters, why not go the whole way and get a SSD.

Looks amazing TBH. The amount of grass on the mountains seems a bit odd though, I think its maybe too little? Really good regardless. What program did you use?
  19. My current machine is a dell, I've had no problems. ^My old computer was a dell and my family's computer is a dell, no problems there. One thing I would note about dell is they use BTx motherboards/PSU's, which is a pain if you ever try to buy a new case etc.
  20. I really dislike grinding, and it's a shame that this game has basically descended into who can grind the most to get the highest levels. That's why I don't really mind that I have no 99's after quite a long time playing.
  21. I have to say, I've got a dell laptop and a dell desktop and I've had no real problems. Any problems I did have, just rang them up and they came and replaced my laptops motherboard without a second thought.
  22. I'm not entirely sure how I can be 200 miles away from London, seeing as I'm in London... And it said my nearest server was Manchester >.< Oh well, still pretty satisfied.
  23. MTK as you said. It brings in a phenominal amount of money, compared to what you put in. Just fill it to the top and leave it. I know I've left it in for like 3 weeks, which is probably not good (dropped beneath 750k). IIRC, you don't need to gain favour until just before you collected it. But yeah, farming runs as well. If you know what you're doing, merching is just about the quickest way. Do sharks and whips, those are normally pretty stable. No_99_melee's merching blog has some good content, I'd have a look at that. Also this guide. Good luck.
  24. Very nice! I'm not personally a fan of the song, but I liked it regardless :)
  25. Option 1: Probably be annexed by NK Option 2: Don't be annexed by NK hmmm...
