Read the updates, sheesh it's one of the biggest updates ever made and people still don't read them in 3 days.

Excuse me? Explain how every high level pker in RuneScape is a noob? Uh, he never mentioned PKers, neither did he say high levels. Both PKers and non-PKers are quitting, so it could be a reference to both. In any case, levels don't determine noobs, that's "newb".

Jagex could drive them out of business, they just lower prices, because it doesn't cost Jagex anything at all. How do you think the ability to buy 100M for 50 cents would help improve the game? It'd just be a loop where one sells cheaper then the other.

It makes sense, perhaps Jagex were thinking to some extent. They must have finally realised that releasing pure ess and all those similar updates (I've completely forgotton the other ones :P ) wasn't doing anyone good. At least we can look forward to summoning now, how could they ruin runescape further without asking an 8-ball whether or not their ideas are good?

I suggest we ban every single account and stop account creation, that way it's impossible to break rules right? *Looks at thread from a few weeks ago where someone said they may as well take out PKing out next* On the other hand, forget I ever said that Jagex. Without destroying the trade system completely, I seriously can't think of anything Jagex can do about this. Maybe they've wasted their ~6 year old game for nothing? That'd be quite sad if that were the case. It's pretty pathetic people are still trying to RWT though, after seeing the extent Jagex will go to even to make a dint in their efforts. Hell, sometimes it seems Jagex will take their own game down just to go down with RWT's. I've never complained about their decisions, but this whole occurrence is just plain disturbing.

Only mods and admins are given rights to making official polls in topics. If you really want to make a poll PM a mod and ask, but don't ask them to make a poll about something utterly useless, like asking what people's favourate colour is in the gen forum, or somethign like that. If you want, you can just ask people to post their opinions and make a sort of un-official poll where you add up all the posts and then edit your original post each time.

Monster hunting isn't dead, it's just the latest "crazed" monster was one you had to fight in groups, or nearly had to (GWD bosses). It's still possible to kill KQ, iron/steel/mith dragons, KBD, giant mole and I've even seen DK's soloed (I admit I'm yet to try DKs). Just because getting GS drops doesn't mean the whole section of monster hunting has been eliminated. In any case, I imagine GS prices are due to drop very soon if not already, think about it. GS's were used mainly in PK/duel arena, they're ability to train isn't as amazing as it may seem, maybe better then a whip, but what's an extra 5k exp per hour when your both sacrificing a shield for defence and possibly over 100M? The main factor that will be fueling their price now in my opinion is the "cool" factor. Everyone likes high hits, it's fun to go around one shot killing whatever you like, even if it's not efficient. Just look at dharoks when it's used without prayer to make it efficient over things like obby weapons with berserk neckies.

I was buying for 100ea yesterday on forums AND for max price on GE (88, may have risen) and it took me a good hour or 2 to get 2k pure ess. But yes jagex killing the point of autoers has everything to do with this, also the sudden surge of rcers (due to abyss rcing being as dangerous as running through karam jungle now).

I can't. But I can also suggest that it's reasonable to treat each individual as an individual. Bland generalizations are the sign of a limited thinker. // A Long Time Pure // (*Notes that by saying "I can't" you'd be agreeing with me :P *) I do my best to give every single person a chance before making assumptions, but when time after time I get called noob for EVERY SINGLE THING I do by well over 99% over the community (sadly that statistic is probably true) I can't help myself but take a negative view onto a certain range of the players. However, should I ever see a pure in game I will never come up to them and call them a moron or anything of that sort. I'll carry on normally untill I can see what they're like, if they seem to be completely immature I'll proceed to ignore them and move on with my life, only dignifying questions and requests with an answer when they were said with some degree of maturity. I completely understand your frustration though, so don't take this as a stab at you but an explanation :wink: To train an account for possibly hundreds of hours and then have it discarded at your expense is pretty unfair, it's not like a cop would shoot a hostage to get to the criminal now would he?

Came to my mind as one of the first things. I was regretting not going to any of the previous ones and was really looking forward to a fourth that I could finally try out. I guess the community should be happy this happened just before the update, what a bummer it would be if it was scheduled to be on the 10th, eh?

Overall, good riddance. It's harsh, but you can't deny the average moronic pure, perhaps this is the only good aspect of this update, for me at least. I feel bad for those that made PKing pures and had an IQ over 1, but perhaps we'll see some more maturity in places that don't require defence levels now, you never know. It's pretty funny seeing how the average owner of a main (with no pure) reacts to this and the low ammount of respect [most] pures made for themselves. *Runs happily back to the abyss*.

I can see where you're coming from, but unless the gravestone is in the middle of the MEP2 maze I think it's already easy enough to get your items. Heck, if I had a rare I'd happily be abyss RCing with it while reading forums without a worry in my mind. Tbh 4-5mins to get to where you died is insanely long already.

Following this, he proceeded to fire large globes of light at me, which occasionally splashed but sometimes dealt very heavy damage. I imagine the freezing is magic, as well as the light-globes. Very interesting, a NPC using what sounds like ancients in F2P :shock: Seems a bit much though for F2P though? Last I checked the average F2Per's level was quite low (not meant in an offencive sense). These next few weeks are going to be quite interesting... Its just to stop RWT, but maybe they might be GREAT training spots for the 80+ f2p'ers I just read a member used up a whole invent of cakes to kill one, makes me a doubt they're any good at all. How do they help stop RWT by the way? I don't get it :?

I'm too lazy to waste an extra 450k for an extra 1min on a gravestone. However in the long run probably smart to get one of them, that 1min could make a dif when you die in places like barrows/high level wild. All god gravestones cost 50k, there's zam, sara, guth, bandos, armadyl, ancients (from memory). Picture of new gravestones for those too lazy to check it out themselves:

Read through all the updates but I saw nothing about these orcs :-k Can you describe them? Level? Attack type? Was that them them using ancient spells on you?

Abyss pkers owned? :wink: Well Jagex finally went all the way, a day that I didn't think would come. I think it's safe to say the madness is over and Jagex are done wrecking the old RuneScape we know oh so well, they've elimanted RWT effictively (and a hell of a lot of other things). What amazes me is the ammount of talking they're making to try to cconvince people from thinking RuneScape hasn't been made into a lame kiddy game where bad things never happen.

Never, you always burn them but in mid-high 90's burning will be alot less often. Also, cooking gaunts DO NOT help cooking them without burning. If you followed the story line in the quests where you got the gaunts you'd already know that they only work on the 3 fish you cook in the quest to obtain them. If you want to burn them less try using the range in lumby. You burn less on all ranges but you burn a bit less on the one next to the cook in lumby castle.

I can't really think of any monster that gives money and is a really low level, but druids are probably one of your best options, though I don't know how good they are ever since they took away the old unids. However, to wield the next metal weapon you must ALWAYS have the base level for it, not potted. You can never strength or attack pot (nor pray) to weild something that you normally can't. That applies to everything that's wieldable, eg. dragonhide, mystic, barrows, prayer TT items, etc.

I'm a tad lazy and my net is going slow atm so I don't feel like looking myself, but I have a feeling your searching that TT clue the wrong way. Wrong way: Looking at each entry and looking for yours, time wasting and you can overlook it. Best way: Hold Ctrl and press F, a search function will come up (comes up different dependant on browser). All you have to do Is type in your anagram in it, input direction down if it's needed (proibably not) and hit enter/press next. The only way that can miss it if you don't copy your anagram out correctly.

Is it seriously annoying you to see a single thread that's not about Runescape? I'm sure we'll get through this horrific moment. In any case, the admins control the site and it's rules so I don't see why they shouldn't bend the rules slightly for the better if they want to. Infact it's illogical for them to be bound to rules to the extent a user is. Congratulations to all new mods, saw the trainee avatar and thought I missed this post some time before :XD:
