  1. 16 should do fine, I remember I thought it would be a cake walk like all the other quests that were lately realeased back then so I tried it without blocking and used a full inventory of sharks in torag with whip. I came out with 30 something hp and not one shark left, learn from my mistake and block them out instead of letting them all hit you, it makes a huge difference
  2. Hmm, I may try ranging them in Torag while using def pots, I might not hit much but at least I might get somewhere with it  Still wondering if they have a ranged attack though, which would let me safely range them from away and switch to d hide.
  3. From what I hear and see on TIF avansies seem to be a very nice monster for money, but from the one guide I found only prayer was given as an option. I was wondering if I could get a decent ammount of kills (60-100+) without using prayer (possibly wearing a melle barrows piece for the defence)? Also, I think they range but am not sure, do they use range or melle? Thanks. :)
  4. Completely depends, what do you like to do? Do you like to play minigames such as CW and PC? Which specific mosnters do you train on? Do you hunt bosses? Do you barrow? It all comes down to what you enjoy doing in RuneScape. Dharoks is nice for PCing and training strength, but PC has made the risk in Dharoking alot less worth it. Veracs is nice for cheap barrowing, boss hunting and for places where you need prayer but Torags is just good all around, though it has nothing it's really good at in specific due to the lack of it's special effect effectivness.
  5. Many high levels can't afford veracs or other high level armour and weapons. Don't mistake combat level with wealth, they are very much so different things and don't always come together in high ammounts. Or of course people just don't wish to risk losing their verac helm, which can cost you a decent amount.
  6. Dark bow is TERRIBLE training as far as typical low defrence monsters go. I have personally recorded each popular training method and can tell you that when facing the best training monsters for ranged such as caged greaters and ogres knives and darts blow all training methods away in terms of exp per hour, they really do dominate training, though few people for some reason like to admit it and stick with MSB. After knives and darts, I found that the MSB is best, and the dark bow is far below the MSB in terms of training. When I examined the methods of training for myself the bone x-bow was not yet changed to make the ammo easy to obtain so I had not tried it. For the record, this isn't just what I think, it's fact obtained from a long time spent power training at greaters. BUT when it comes to dueling and PKing the whole order of what's best surprisingly flips upside down and darts are weak (and from what I hear, as I'm not a PKer, the dark bow is very effective in PvP). So stick with MSB, buy knives when you can, or just power train with bone cross bow.
  7. There are only just enough skeletons for one person from what I can remember  You'll need a ring of visibility (95% sure that you do) decent armour and then you just stand at the 2 skeleton spawns found just south of where you enter the dungeon. From there on people with 80+ defence can pretty much completely relax and read forums, 70+ should look in every minute or two, if not more, 60+ should look back frequently. That's from memory, so don't take my word on all of that.
  8. Totally forgot about that one :P I used to go there a long time ago so yeah you can go back there and salve does work. Ape toll sound nice, but I really don't like taking that chance of being too slow to pot up with supers. Think I'll go with Damis's lair for now :P
  9. Hey, I just bought a full set of dharoks for the second time, and was wondering what was a good place to train at (prefferably that does NOT have to be done with prayer potions, because my 60ish p pots and broke bank won't last me terribly long  ). Before I always trained on the shadow warriors for the safety and the left half drop, but seeing as a left half is technicly worth negative gp when you compare prices of left, right and full d shields, that doesn't quite apeal as much as when it was worth millions. So anyone know any good Dharoks training spots? (All my melle stats are roughly based around level 88, some lower some higher but all close). Thanks :P
  10. Had a completely fresh one, pretty much lvl 1 stats all around, a few months ago, probably one of the very few around. But I just don't have it in me to start all over again, let alone in the much slower leveling classic. I may have lost my RSC account from not logging in, I'm not sure and I'm not really interested, I respect the game and it's players but everyone has different preferences and it isn't for me.
  11. At 45 Ranged? I think NOT. A few months ago, ranging profit would be pretty hard at blue dragons, but when we now consider the price of these bone bolts, profit actually might be decent (accumalator would help LOADS). Though blue drags probably are going to be very far away from expereince you could achieve elsewhere in runescape. Maybe try fire giants in brimhaven dungeon? Bring melle armour and weapons for the time they're agressive, because they're going to take alot out of you at 60 defence, but they'll be decent exp from there on, if they seem to have too good defence or don't suit you, you could try the popular rock crabs and experiments, benefits with those are low defence and no need for a safe spot, but profit would be taken away.
  12. Hey, If by "using your computer" you meant letting your friend on your account or anything similar, he might have drop traded some items from his account to yours (don't know why, but you never know :P ) and it looked sort of like you "hacked" into your friends account, drop trading the loot to yourself. When you send in the appeal just remember to take your time writing it up, don't write anything foolish that you'll regret later. You may only get one real chance where it isn't handled by an automed bot (or whatever Jagex use to take care of majority appeals and such), and typing a mature looking, responsible, well spelt and structured apeal will work so much better then telling them they suck because they ban and you want them to go die in a hole (not insisting that you have that view on them, but I've seen mulltiple people waste accounts so they can express an opinion the staff, which the staff probably won't even care about in the end). As for the multiple chance question, I can't tell you because I haven't got a black mark yet let alone ban.
  13. This probably would achieve alot more if it was PMed to a mod or admin. Possibly suggest making a new channel yet again? It seems logicle to do so, everyone quits, and moderation there is going to come to a halt completely sooner or later. Although the channel IS unofficial, it would still indefinetly serve better as a chat and as a better image for Tip.It if it had a more maintainable moderation system. Note: Although I haven't spent as long as others have in this channel, I haven't really seen any problems there at all, and in the one or two very minor situations that I've seen there was someone there to take care of it. However, my point is for the long term, not now. (Also, I retired moderation by choice, so calling me a wanna-be-mod might make you look a tad silly :P )
  14. Bonus will never affect your cannon hits, only you're range level will affect how often you hit. Your max with cannon will ALWAYS be 30, be your range level 99 or 40, however sometimes it fires multiple shots at one enemy, depending where they stand.
  15. 1stly, this isn't illegal. I shared the view as a mod, and I do so now aswell. If don't want to have to go through that guide, find the link to world 2 etc follow this quick walkthrough: Open notepad (often found in accessories in your Start --> all programs menu.) Copy this in exactly: RuneScape - the massive online adventure game by Jagex Ltd now press "Save as" and save as world2.htm, remember the .htm or it won't work. Every now and then the link changes (I think), and that's the current one. ~Philip
  16. oh yea i forgot about that one. its pretty good. im not sure how many safe spots there are Alot actually, thanks to all the rocks and Stalgmites (S?). There are also many dragons and no way NEAR as many people there, surprisingly enough when you consider the distance to the bank and difficulty of the watchtour quest.
  17. Pures = 1 def (well, mostly all pures). Anything that has a semi-decent level hits heavy on them. Try experiments (you don't have to finish the quest, though I don't think it gives defence or prayer experience anyway) if not you could try PC, though I don't know how good it is for lower combat levels now after the update. Other decent options are Stronghold monsters, which are ALOT less busy on P2P worlds. As per the first three, they wouldn't be that great, seeing as he's reffering to traing FROM 75+, but then again I guess there aren't that many options to choose from.
  18. I'm relatively certain it's a special rock cake you creat in the Recipe for Distaster quest, the subquest involves the dwarves under white wolf mountain, which is all I remember. I also think that it can't be retrieved after the quest so it's wise to make 2 of them, one for the quest and one for Dharoks.
  19. Even super compost isn't a 100% guarantee of a healthy plant that gets to additional treatment. The only way for a 100% guantee of you're herb growing to it's fullest is by you standing next to it for the whole time while holding a plant cure potion (prefferably alching to not make the time a complete waste). Also, I'm pretty sure you can't pay farmers to take care of herb patches. That depends. If it's "diseased" you use a plant cure on it, if it's "dead", which is the next step after diseased it's gone forever and you will have to use a shovel and dig it out.
  20. Was this a PM via Tip it? If the link is youtube or metacafe it's safe to watch the video, he might have mispelt the link, though that's unlikely. If the link he sent you is either a site you've never heard of or going to a site such as megaupload you should NEVER open that link unless you know COMPLETELY what you are doing, if you don't, you risk getting viruses such as keyloggers and worms. If this did happen through Tip.It and the link isn't Youtube, Metacafe or a similar site then scan your computer and PM a mod/admin with details of the the PM and user. From the sounds of it, it seems like nothing really happened when you opened the site, but you can never be sure, and you can never be too carefull.
  21. Honestly it's really a matter of preferernce, but if it were my choice it'd be mith bolts, they can sell nice if you decide not to use them and if you want to use them they're great to use for both training and hunting boss-like creatures like iron dragons. If you choose not to make bolts and just want flat out good exp per hour go for darts/knives. If you don't want bolts and want as much efficient exp from your bars go for arrows with a magic short bow. so imo, Bolt > Dart > Knives > Arrows. But of course, it can varie upon people's prefernces.
  22. Someone can pay for you're subscription legally, infact I'd be willing to bet over 75% of Runescape members have theirs payed by their parents. HOWEVER if the person paying is paying monthly automaticly they have full rights to revoke the payment, which should be quite obvious. As for if you should wait, it's you're choice. It's not like if you friend buys members for you now you can't buy it for yourself later on, it's simply a matter of wether you can be bothered getting him/her to pay it for you. Lastly, it's actually a bit over 5 dollars from what I remember (like 6-10 depending on how you pay, pay by phone being on of the most expensive and credit card the least. That's in Aussie dollars).
  23. It tends to be slash, but there are variables. All attacks in equality as far as bonuses and opponents defence goes will heal you at the same rate. However, armours tend to favour slash more then anything, making slash overall the best around, as it also is more effective then stab or crush on a ranger's armour (eg black hides). However sometimes the monster's defence can make a difference, though nearly never. From what I hear metal dragons are weaker to stab attack (though no one will be guthaning them anytime soon..), I don't know any other non-quest monsters like that, so just stick with slash, though the difference will be very minimal.
  24. I'm unsure as to giant spider levels, but your combat certainly makes a difference. If you're combat level is twice plus one (Monster combat * 2 + 1) of yours then they will cease to be agressive. Exceptions go to monsters like bandits when you wear god items. Well, where you are training does not always have to be the center of the monster's sort of "zone" or territory. You could be training one step away from it's territory or you could be perfectly in the middle, there's no way to tell but from hours of examining, which is VERY tedious and may not even work. But sometimes you might be on the corner of their zone, step out one step and they will go agressive, and it'll seem like you stayed in it's zone. Other times you'll be perfectly in middle, will walk a decent ammount and end up near the edge thinking you surpassed their zone and they won't be agressive. Sorry, that might seem a tad confusing :|
  25. Have fun selling nature runes for ~10gp and full kharil for 100M+ then :P I don't even remember where I get majority of my money anymore, a combo of barrows and then throwing a bit of every skill into the money pile (You guessed right, I'm not the richest out there  )
