You find a game that has the kind of flexibility that RuneScape has (doesn't really matter what OS it runs on as long as it has a JRE) and runs as well over a 56K modem. The list is really short since games like that are seriously hard to come by, but what Jagex has done with RuneScape's graphics is something good in its own right. Customer service is customer service; after dealing with whiny brats after four hours, you're begging to get off the computer and have it take over for a while. Seriously, we don't give CS as much credit as they are due. They put up with players that cross all spectrums [including yourself], and still manage to have a sense of humor every now and then. If you can't give them an iota of respect for putting up with half the crap they take on a daily basis, then you don't need to be attacking them. One more thing -- you don't know how much effort, exactly, is being invested into RuneScape. With a project or game as big as RS, 100% of the company's attention is never going to be properly vested in it; that's divvied up with CS, bug fixing, community feedback, autoer patrol and mass bannings, and development. Suppose they took out the community feedback part; would that prove to you that they're working harder or would that give you even more ammo? If you think you're really that worthless, then why the hell haven't you left yet? If you feel that you could be replaced by ten brats, then what does that make you? Valuable? I don't know, I haven't seen you been a 'valuable' customer yet. But then again that's the typical buzz when it comes to most RS players; the "gimmie-more" attitude and when something takes just a little longer to get done, a tantrum ensues. If November is your last straw with this game, why wait? well..as someone who lives in a country under threat (Israel) the "assumption" we have some nukes (never officially admitted) does carry some benefits(like discouraging any arab thoughts of gangbanging us). I believe Jagex bad CS are more a symptom of immature management and lack of resources , then pure greediness.Therefore i keep a more forgiving attitude towards their faults. You are right, Jagex, in her current phase, should have hold already a descent customer support department , but i think they doing some efforts in that direction. Dont forget that Jagex had to do some serios shifting in the last few years,from a startup to a compony with over 1 milion paying customers (and few mil ftp users). From 2 developers to over 300 employees. Lots of unexperienced managers (as the Gowers were) would have make bigger mystakes than what Jagex done and still doing. btw,lots of componies in the stage (and even earlier) hire professional managers who knows how to cope with rapid growth of customers,some even sell their compony.But i can understand why Gower doesn't want to give his baby a way (i wouldnt either). Anyways, i think that at its current stage,Jagex's faults can still be tolerated. half year from now, no.

I once read a very detailed suggestion in the RSOF of seamanship. Realy loved it. -Being able to build your own ship (requires certain construction level as well). -traveling to new areas/islands. (each accessible depending on your ship "level"). -new ways to travel into the wilderness (maybe the ship near the pirates house hint something???) alone and with a group of people (not a wildy fan myself but i guess clans/pkers will love it) - building battleships - maybe new PvP option - Ship vs Ship (smithing(better cannon/shields) and ranging will play big part here). I'd love to see this happening

Nice but half done. Few months ago i read an excellent article regarding how its like to develop a MMORPG. This article was written by the creator of Eternal Landsand i think its shows perfectly the picture from the game developers' view. watched the first 4 episodes of the 3rd season this weekend. Not bad untill now,better than season 2, but i guess that there is no way they'll manage to reproduce the inventiveness and intensity of the first seasson(much like "24" case).

Ye,the clue thing is not new.i remember there was a complete list in the Treasure Trial/Randoms forum (RIP) of what each monster drops with the clue. Wonder if it applies to visage also :-k i guess not many will remember what drop they had when they got visage :wink:
