  1. The thing I suggested earlier about building was only relevant to VS2003 onwards, I hadn't noticed where you said what you were using. That is indeed the option you want, and it is possible that the fact it's a student version is why it won't compile. Still, I am surprised that you are being taught such an old version of VB.
  2. You haven't said what version you're using. Look under the project menu. There is likely an option there called 'build' or something similar. It might be different for different versions.
  3. It looks very interesting indeed. I am annoyed that it doesn't even seem to be coming to my country though.
  4. I loved Phil too. Physically.
  5. That is hardly surprising: they are colourblind. That is false. If 35% is bittorrent then email clearly can't be more than 65%. It doesn't even account for that much.
  6. For some reason when I read that I first thought "black, yellow, white or albino"...
  7. That doesn't matter though. The fact is that it is quite possible for a country to operate without immigrants doing those jobs, contrary to what the other guy asserted.
  8. Ignorance. Virtually every plumber, farmer, labourer, builder, gardener etc. you see in the UK will be white British. It is what the working classes are for. That stands as proof that a country will not crumble due to lack of immigrants to do those jobs.
  9. mind explaining that pretty biased statement? Alright: Sometimes people say or type something which isn't true to elicit laughter from the listener or reader. Unfortunately, this arrow of humour sometimes flies straight over the head of the intended recipient.
  10. If he's not willing to post his reasons, I bloody well am - there is nothing to be ashamed of: MI5 was asking him to work overtime infiltrating volcano bases around the world, resulting in precious little free time to monitor the forums.
  11. I rarely drink it but when I do it is Earl Grey with milk & no sugar. You are a pansy if you put sugar in tea.
  12. I like the chess one, because it is the most far fetched.
  13. I've seen conflicting information, some saying it has integrated graphics, others saying it has mobility Radeon x300 - either way it is not upgradable and will never have good performance on games.
  14. No, it generally isn't possible. When it is possible, it isn't worth it. To maintain smoothness in games you generally need a graphics card upgrade more than a CPU upgrade anyway.
  15. Subterranean. That's the way my grandmother's is. It may sound cool but it is a bit underwhelming, it is just a tiny office room. It isn't that cool because it doesn't employ a classic secret-door-opening mechanism like pulling a book or twisting a candlestick - you just push on the door.
  16. My grandmother has 3 secret doors in her house - two of them lead to the same hidden room, one is a bookcase and the other is a spice rack. Another panel of a wall lifts off to reveal a safe. They are nowhere near as cool as the ones on that site though.
  17. Yes, that would be good, but in the past I have noticed that sometimes no banned rank is given and sometimes it isn't taken off. Maybe that has changed now, it was just what I'd noticed in the past.
  18. Anything wild should be, really. It gets lots of exercise with both reduces the fat and increases the flavour - that's why I like game so much. I wonder if suffering makes them tastier.
  19. I'm guessing it's a CRT screen? Check for sources of electromagnetic interference nearby. Mine does that when the microwave in the next room is on, also when the screen next to it is at a different refresh rate.
  20. There's a FF extension which allows google video and youtube videos to be saved, whilst I haven't used it myself it might allow format conversion.
  21. Haha, I hadn't read your most recent post Astralinre and I was thinking I'd post my favourite, then I read it: Yes, venison is my favourite. It is like beef++. I like it stir fried. I like it because it is super meaty, generally very lean (I HATE fat, except crispy fried streaky bacon) and it has a really rich taste. Other than that I like all meats - I just don't eat some forms because it isn't worth the hassle removing all the fast. Most lamb, for example - I love the flavour but it is so fatty that it is an effort to prune it all off. I also love cured & dried meats. I like jerky, biltong, most salamis (chorizo scrambled eggs are great), rosemary pancetta is excellent.
  22. Precisely. If you prefer one race then you automatically discriminate against the other.
  23. To those annoyed at the people who only bought a PS3 to sell it on ebay: http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2006/11/24 ... y_for_99c/
  24. With trillian you can rename your contacts.
  25. If you look at my first post on this thread you'll see I said: The very old ones are the most religious ones. The modern ones are about santa.
