It's the most (terrible) time.... of the year...
By that reasoning hating reggae is no different to hating black people. If you don't like Bob Marley music you hate all Rastapharians. I hate Michael Jackson music. Does that mean I think it DOES matter if you're black or white? Bottom line: I am getting married to a catholic. Are you saying I hate my fiancee? What ignorant tripe - political correctness brigade, go home.

No, you said: How do you think christian children in a primarily christian school will react when their atheist peers talk about "day off for gifts"? That's right, they will make fun of them. Changing the name of what people do on that day won't change christmas back to your lovely little pious day centred only around your religion and not around fun and happiness. People do what they want, and it looks like everyone wants to have fun on that day and everyone wants to call it christmas. I agree it is different. I never tried to prove otherwise. I just said that it is wrong to try and tell people what they should and shouldn't call it and what they are celebrating when you don't know.

Favorite Instant Messenger? And Why?
It is AIM, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo Messenger, and IRC. It also provides support for others via plugins.

No, you lighten up. Why are you trying to stop other people having a good time?

Atheists don't celebrate Jesus' birth. We celebrate an arbitrary day, we have fun, give gifts and do things with our families. Why shouldn't we be allowed to have fun and give gifts when other people are?

Favorite Instant Messenger? And Why?
Trillian. It can connect to all the popular services, its skinnable, no BS (adverts etc.), no space-wasting and it is incredibly customisable from the point of view of making it do the things you want it to.

I am allowed to hate any music I like. To find someone else's music tastes offensive is over the top, I'd grow a thicker skin if I were you.

If you think that's bad, I have mine in January - once I have got my new toys and am busy playing with them - too busy to bother revising.

Wii launch countdown!
I don't know if I've said this before, but I wouldn't buy one myself (don't think consoles are worth the money) - I am, however, hoping several friends get them.

I hate the modern carols, but I love the very old ones. I hate the commercial nature of christmas, I hate the 'christmas #1' rubbish, I hate the cards and all the plastic-y singing. I like the family aspect and I like the gift-giving.

Should i buy a Nintendo ds lite
I was playing on a DS lite last night, belonging to a friend. He was telling me how glad he was that he went for that one as opposed to the vanilla DS. He cited the better screen and the fact that it is much smaller. I think it would be a worthwhile investment. I was almost tempted to get one after playing on that new Mario game.

"User was warned for this post" etc.
It was a giant, not a troll - a Gentle Giant more specifically :P Thanks, I know the policy on removing posts, what posts get removed and what users get warned for as I am ex-moderator. You have pointed out that it would be less useful than I anticipated because yes, some of the posts are removed. However some of them aren't - topics are locked, etc. and are still visible. The other issue still stands though - if a reply is totally edited out to only include 'user was warned for this post' it does still serve as a form of castigation.

women and men equality..
If you're talking about the US president: Without letting emotion get in the way, sure, but...telling everyone god told him personally to go to war?

Sometimes i find it amusing, but actually it isn't
No, my name was similar to a guy who died and left no will - he is presenting me as the next of kin.

Don't you dare rain on my parade. I will laugh at you when I'm living in my mansion in 2 weeks time.

Why bother looking them up when they can come to you? I am currently in deals with many Nigerians. I'm hoping they'll pay off rather well. I'd suggest you look up Barrister Dave Udoka, he is looking to move some money to this country but he needs your help - he is willing to offer you 25% of EIGHTEEN MILLION DOLLARS.

Dragonforce
I think they are funny because of how cheesy they are. As I said to one of my friends, the sort of people who listen to Dragonforce are the sort of people who buy/collect swords. ...And in trials with the people I know in RL, that has proved to be 100% true. I don't like the band.

Guide To Making PowerPoints!
I sit through, on average, 3 hours of powerpoint presentations every weekday and it is absolutely necessary to have lots of information in them. If they didn't then none of us would graduate.

Would you trade your PS3 for a lifetiem of Tacos?
Games distributors generally get 1/3rd of the cost of the item, so in the case of a $600 PS3 they would buy it for $400. If you are referring to the estimates of how much the PS3 costs to make (the one which claims $840) then they are based on how much Sony pays for the parts - not how much an end user would. That's what analyst companies are interested in - working out how much it would cost an end user to make the device is irrelevant so they don't look into it.

You could do it with the HOSTS file, provided you know the IP of the place you want to redirect to.

Guide To Making PowerPoints!
Another annoying thing is when someone makes EVERY LINE a bullet point, one of my lecturers does it and his slides look like this: [*:2hhcuz1s]Item[*:2hhcuz1s]Item[*:2hhcuz1s]Item[*:2hhcuz1s]Item [*:2hhcuz1s]Item [*:2hhcuz1s]Item [*:2hhcuz1s]Item Except his slides use the same symbol for bullet points, unlike this.

Rs and satellite internet
If you can wait until 2009 for the commercial rollout of WiMAX you might be able to get decent speeds there.
-
Rs and satellite internet
Linksys is a hardware manufacturer, not an ISP. The reason it is slow is because almost all home satellite internet services use one-way multicast with terrestrial return - meaning you only get things FROM the internet via the satellite, and you upload TO the internet via dial-up. That means that you will be experiencing the same delays as dial-up users. The way to solve this is to use ADSL or cable internet.

If you can elaborate I might be able to help you. What do you want it to do that for?
