  1. Also the PS3 had more limited supplies didn't it? That should mean it will dry up completely for a while.
  2. I am simply arguing on a subject related to this topic - disproving the misinformation that has been posted. My messages are neither hostile nor insulting, though I can't help if zonda takes being proven wrong to be hostile or insulting.
  3. Salubrious. Obsequious. Acquiescence.
  4. You said there are EM waves an mechanical waves. I already showed they weren't EM waves - that means you must think they are mechanical waves - which they aren't. It isn't. I already said why not. Yes you did - right here: Stop contradicting yourself. You said there that the radiation from a microwave is alpha rays. My advice to you is just admit you were wrong and stop digging.
  5. My younger brother is doing a physics degree right now, he might look at this topic in a bit.
  6. No, if it only looks like 95 then it only looks like 95. I could make XP look like 95, I could make SUSE look like 95 - it doesn't mean either of them are windows 95 though.
  7. FYI: In FF it is "save link as". Other than that, it works fine for me. I don't know what could be wrong.
  8. Apparently the 8800GTX (non-SLI) can do Oblivion at 2560x1600 with everything at full except for AA. Then again at that resolution you might not even need AA... And I'm getting one next month, yay. It might cost me more than my car did.
  9. Can you give an example of a page on which this happens? Then I can see if mine is any different.
  10. I thought that the Resident Evil games were adult games on Nintendo consoles?
  11. Based on how the land ends and the mountains start I'd guess that they're a photo backdrop. Which is still nice. I just wouldn't expect them to make so much effort on mountains when they are making a racing game.
  12. The people who buy the ebayed PS3s are paying a premium for their impatience. They could wait a couple of months and have it anyway for the normal price but they are impatient. As BlueLancer said, the farmer needs to eat - the kids don't need to game. The kids don't need to game, BlueLancer does need to eat. Investments are how he makes his money, how he buys his food. Reselling that PS3 will put food on his table. What's the difference between that and the buying stocks at low prices and then selling them at high that he does every day?
  13. On the "look how great the graphics are" front I must say I won't believe it until I see it in a game. Remember the screenshots from FF8 that sony used to advertise the PS2? When the game came out and people played it it looked nothing like that during normal gameplay. I don't trust sony's advertising.
  14. I'm not questioning whether a PS2 can display on an HDTV, I'm very sure it can. What I am saying is that it can't output to more than a normal TV's resolution - meaning the HDTV will not make it look any better. It is like having my 21" monitor that is capable of 1800x1440 plugged into a P166 machine which is outputting at 640x480 - you will only see 640x480 regardless of how good the monitor is.
  15. There's something ironic about those celebrity reality shows - not one of them is a celebrity. They are ex-celebrities, nonebrities and relations of celebrities. They are all either washed-out or non-starters.
  16. I'm pretty certain the PS2 only outputs to standard PAL or NTSC so the HDTV would have been running in one of these modes - meaning there wouldn't be a difference between that and a normal TV. I think.
  17. My fiancee reads gossip magazines. If I'm going to the shops and she asks me to get her one I refuse. I also mock her for it. Almost all of the people in those things wouldn't be 'famous' if it weren't for magazines like that. Almost all of them have done NOTHING to deserve fame. They are simply there for the same of being there. Being famous for nothing at all is worse than not being famous. Death to jade goody. The stupid bint doesn't deserve capital letters.
  18. I don't watch TV so I personally don't care. I also don't think that it is that much of a benefit to TV or movies. I do think it will be of big benefit to console games though.
  19. I don't think you understand how difficult it is to port linux to a device like that - it requires teams of people, and that's when the source is available... Win95 is a whole different story. He didn't put windows 95 on it.
  20. That's funny, I don't remember having to install it :?
  21. Unified Modelling Language.
  22. Stealing a car deprives the owner of the car. Copying software (not stealing - theft requires the intention to permanently deprive) does not deprive the owner of the software. I'm not saying it is justified or okay, but that you can't compare it to stealing.
  23. I never claimed they didn't lost money on consoles. I claimed that what you said about the blu-ray drive being $800 on its own was BS. im surprised you didnt know these companies make money on games, not consoles :s Can you explain how the hell you got that from his post  He just said everyone knows that Sony loses money at the start with the PS3 Precisely - he says "that's nothing new".
  24. True, that. I think I read the same thing on wiki a while back - about how light guns have changed. Nowadays it is slightly different though; back in ye olden dayes you could just point it at a lightbulb and you'd win. What do you expect - he's a fanboy.
  25. BS. Also, it couldn't be highly illegal. The worst it could be is breach of copyright.
