  1. I never used mousekeys to rc. I dont think it really makes that big of a difference. The only time i think it would be useful would be when banking. The only time i ever mess up in the entire rcing process is when it comes to withdrawing ess. Mousekeys will remove that error. When it comes to emptying pouches, properly organizing them will make mousekeys useless. oooo oooo oooo oooo M=Medium Mooo L= Large LGoo G=Giant oooo o=Essence This layout allows you to line up the first click while crafting, then empty, then quickly right and left click, move over a bit, and right and left click. VERY fast and no need for mouse keys.
  2. Did you telegrab it? I watched a buddy of mine drop an untrimmed cape, get the 99, then pick it up, and it didnt work. Supposedly telegrabbing should fix that.
  3. Thats what i was going to say, but not from experience. I was thinking about doing this but i've never chinned before so i have no clue how many p pots ill need, how many chins to buy, what gear to use or anything...any suggestions u can give me here? I have never chinned either, but i already know thats how im gonna do it. I know its super fast exp, and i know more or less what to do. When i go to do it, i will look at a guide. I suggest you do the same :)
  4. I would do lobbs until you reach the no-burn lvl for swordies (77 i think?) Cook swordies until you are 94. Sharks until 95. Rockfish until 99. This will give you very fast exp, and a chance to profit somewhat.
  5. Killing yourself and having it under your grave achieves the same effect right? I want to get 99 hp with an untrimmed cape :P Killing yourself is generally useful for when you get a memb skill to 99. You need the extra time to change worlds, get the 99, hop back and pick up the cape(s). If you are getting f2p 99s, its far simpler to drop the cape, get the 99, then telegrab. I have yet to do this, as my rc cape is the only one I have, but based on my reading, that is how it is done.
  6. I would get at least 94 mage before range any day. The ability to barrage is huge in my books. That allows you to get crimsons amazingly fast (key reason), and is great fun for pvp minigames (who doesnt love barraging rushers in cwars?) Ever since i started training range 4 years ago, I hated it. Things have changed in training now, but, similar to taste aversion, it takes only one bad experience for your mind to be made. Having said that, having both 99's would be great. Perfect for bossing, once i get the skills to do so...
  7. Once you hit about 80 mage attack, anything more becomes negligible. It is suggested to use battle robes with a SOL. It is well worth it, and is really actually cheap. If you are a decent junk trader, you should be able to buy the robes and get rid of the junk PDQ, leaving you with the best robes in the game for almost no cost. In case you were curious, other boosts, such as mage pot, arcane stream, and wolpertinger boosts only work on 1 lobb, not all 9. Keep that in mind when you barrage :)
  8. Dont bother with SC gear. Its not worth the time. You could try superheating iron (~100k mage exp, 25k smithing exp per hour for a low cost), bursting lobbs (need ancients though), stunning, or alching i suppose. If you feel like zarfot, you could try alching and stunning at the same time. Ive heard its 150k exp per hour and not very expensive.
  9. This. You could also do falconry for hunter, plunder for thieving, and smelt gold with gold gaunts for smithing. Falconry is fast and is good for people like me who hate setting up and removing traps, plunder is less click intensive and more fun for similar exp/hour, and gold smelting is a lot cheaper than steel plates, but also slower.
  10. Well, its not a minimum. You can still splash or hit 0s. The minimum damage you can do is 41. This is because the ferocious ring boosts whatever you hit by 40 lp, and the minimum hit is 1. Either way, I dont think i would be too keen on fire bolting there anyways. I would go big or go home (fire surge baby :D).
  11. If you really wanted to, you could stew. Thats how i made 2.2k overloads, so it can be done. However, it gets very annoying. Also note that you will need the herblore lvls at some point in time. If you have a use for higher herblore now, why wait? Especially considering you have the highest skilling income. My vote: get 88, if not higher!
  12. Construction: Make oak anything until you can make larders. Do larders to your desired level. This holds true up until you can make oak dungeon doors, in which case that is the best method. Hunter: Swamp lizards/ Falconry/ Orange sallies Farming: Plant trees and fruit trees (5 patches for each), and do full herb runs each day (another 5 patches) Agility: Gnome basic course Theiving: Steal from silk stall, then pickpocket master farmers. Alternatively you could do pyramid plunder, assuming you have done Contact! Herblore: Clean herbs or make energy potions. Both are cheap and fast enough for your purpose. You could move on to prayer pots when you hit the level if you want. Dungeoneering: Havent the foggiest Crafting: Craft green dhide vambs until you can make chaps, chaps till bodies, then bodies to your desired level. Alternatively, you could make bstaffs (cheaper exp), or cut gems. Hopefully the methods i pointed out arent too expensive for you. All the costs should be small, apart from the crafting goal you have. That one will be pricey.
  13. Well, prayer is pretty awesome, but it will bust your bank without a doubt. If you have the cash for it, though, that would be pretty awesome. RC is going to take you a very long time. I dont mean to sound discouraging, but if you give up easily, youll hate RC. Having said that, its well worth the time, as runecrafting is the best profit/hour out of any skill (apart from bossing/getting lucky drops). By the end of it, youll be able to buy 99 prayer and then some. Whatever you choose, good luck :) Slayer is a definite no for me haha. I am not big into combat, despite having 2.2k overloads. I will, however, be maxing combat pretty soon so I can give boss hunting a try and see if i can put a dent into my overload stack. Mining is most likely going to be my next 99, or perhaps agility. I may go for combats before that, depending on how i feel about it all.
  14. For runecrafting, you are generally better off doing regular rcing (ie: abyss, graahk) until you are a high level. You do not profit at all doing ZMI, and the time it saves does not outweigh the profit you could have made, assuming a 1m/hour income or less, and 2 month old calculations. I determined the time it would take to get 99 rc assuming 20k exp/hour graahking vs. 50k exp/hour ZMI. You can easily get more exp/hour graahking and 50k exp/hour at ZMI is pretty much max speed using 4 pouches and a familiar. Even with this assumptions, i calculated that regular rc was more efficient than ZMI. This is looking at the question in only as an efficiency question. If you hate rc with a passion, ZMI. It will take way less time, but give you less money. BTW, ZMI remains unprofitable until you are in the 80s, in which case it becomes marginally profitable or break-even-able. I personally did all my rc training through regular rc. I did airs to 13, fires to 44, nats to 82, astrals to 91, then graahk to 99. It took a hell of a long time, but made me more money than you could imagine. As for the construction question, construction is essentially the amount of spare cash you have. You can get a few easy levels with quest rewards or cheap training, but you will not get anywhere far without putting in some serious cash. I have spent probably 10-15m on training supplies, let alone the cost of my 20m house (or more even >.<). Regardless, you will have to spend money on it at some point in time, and I would personally not use free exp on a skill like this. Its really not that expensive, compared to some skills, and the exp is bloody fast. Use your freebies on slow skills, skills you hate, or expensive skills (herblore or prayer?)
  15. I would need to know the charms/hour when slaying. Seeing as it varies entirely based on what task you are assigned, and most slayer tasks will give you very few, i would imagine just about any income makes it worthwhile. But then again, if you want maxed melee and high slayer, you might as well do a chunk of charm collecting with slayer. I will start training slayer once i max combat with high summ, so its of no concern to me.
  16. Take a look at this page. It shows the production costs of all pots. It appears that there are only 2 pots that give exp that is cheaper than 20gp/xp, and neither of them will sell well or give you decent exp/hour. Your best bet would be to bite the bullet and pay more. Also note that you arent really gaining many levels, so the extra cost to do a more expensive pot will be very small when compared to getting 99.
  17. Using only crimsons, it would take you 31,810 granite lobbs to get 99. I assume that most of your exp will be crimson, and for ease of calculating, i will just use that. Each crimson is approximately worth 6k when you barrage (in cost of casts). Based on these numbers, you will be looking to spend: Shards: 10357336 shards (25.9m) [if exchanging] 3107200.8 shards (7.75m) Seconds: 9.4m Crimsons: 191m TOTAL: About 208m all in. These are the calculations for only using crimsons. It may be more/less depending on what you do with other charms. This should be a pretty close approximation though, so expect to spend a lot.

What the hell are you talking about? xD If you want to make range mixes, you need to have either 2 dose pots or 4 dose pots with empty vials. I did 500 anti fire mixes. Was one of the worst things i ever did haha. It was long, painfully slow, tedious, and really not worth the effort. If you are set on it though, do yourself a favour and buy 2 dose pots.
  19. Congrats! Thats one of the big milestones on the way to 99. Good luck going all the way (if that is your goal :P). Still a long way to go, though.
  20. When i get back on the 5th, i will post one for sure :) Thanks a lot :) RC has always been my favorite skill. It seemed fitting to have it be my first 99. I appreciate it :) I personally havent seen an untrimmed rc cape ever. Between that and my appeal towards the skill, i became very motivated. Hehe, I already was thinking "hmm, seems like a fair bit of that profit went to herblore" when I saw your nice skills ^^ A huge congratz with your achievement, now find some hawt outfit, which shouldn't be a problem since everything will be hot when you're wearing that cape  haha xD What sort of outfit do you think would be good? The one i came up with before i left is my avatar. What do you think? EDIT: I just realised that you wont have a clue what it is. Its my omni tiara, white plate and legs, boots of lightness, fally shield 3, glory, and SOL. Wearing a fury wrecks it imo. If you can picture that with the rc cape :P Lmao I thought you had 75 Herb I'm like: "uhh you spent 200m on 75 herb? You're doing it wrong." 10\10 ofc. I see a lot of untrimmed rc capes and I don't know HOW YOU PEOPLE DO IT! I can't freaking stand rc at all. AT ALL. Love the 99 <3: Thanks. It would be pretty sad if i spent 200m on 75 herb xD Idk where ive been. never seen an untrimmed rc cape before in my life :P Oh well.

I would cook lobbs until the no-burn lvl of swordies (77?), then swordies to 92. Sharks to 94. Rockfish from 94-99. It will be fast, and as painless as possible, and might even profit if you can buy the fish cheap and sell higher once cooked.
  22. I had extra points after getting my torso, so i figured i would colour my whip to match my quest cape. I think i want to change it to white, now that i have my rc cape, though. Its all personal preference.
  23. In my personal order of preference, you can: burst rock lobbs, superheat iron, or string jewellery. Superheating is about half the cost (-2.15gp/xp as opposed to -4gp/xp, respectively). Superheating is a lot of clicking, though, and yields lower xp/hour (i think). It does, however, give you valuable smithing exp, along with relatively fast mage leveling (100k exp an hour). Bursting is best imo, as you get mage exp, const exp, and charms.
  24. I consider farming herbs a money-maker, not a viable method to train herblore. The huge numbers of herbs you would require to get a decent herblore level is impractical. All I was talking about was opportunity cost. You need to calculate efficiency instead of trying to make it as cheap as possible, or providing all the herbs yourself.
  25. It may appear cheap at first, but If you consider the cost in time, you may end up being better off doing a more expensive method. Herb cleaning is less than 100k exp an hour, barb pots are a [bleep] to make. Between the two of them, the method drives me mad, so I would pay 10 times more to do something less terrible. Just raise cash and do it using untradable pots. Definitely do that if you plan on getting 90s.
