  1. Getting a full load in an hour is easy. I can get a full load in about 30 minutes in the Light Temple (full being the 22 spaces I have free when I'm mining there). So, I would say that if you use the Light Temple, about 12 hours. I've heard of similar rates at the wildy. Either way it's insane money. Wilderness could be faster because less time is spent hopping worlds. I know I can get 45 ores in an hour if I went for max efficiency; a more realistic figure would be around 40 for normal conditions. That's 624k an hour for normal conditions, 702k an hour for max efficiency. Wilderness could be faster, but the amount of time it would take to bank and the chance of dying to revenants with a full inventory of runite makes it much less attractive.

Sorry to sound noob-ish, but I left a few years ago and came back on Feb 1 of this year, still in the dark to most updates. ~Knotch viewtopic.php?t=585639 I make a few changes to this for my personal method, but mine is a little risky and can easily go very wrong. So, I'll just fill you in on what's missing from the guide I linked to. In your inventory, have the rest of the Mourner's outfit, a prayer potion, and the New Key if you have it in your bank (pick it up from the table on the way if you don't) Remember not to change out of the mourner's outfit or wear anything in the weapon/shield/neck slot until you're in through the door close to the dark beasts. If you want, bring another prayer potion (might not be needed, test it yourself to be sure) and a beast of burden (summon when your inventory is nearly full) so you can stay longer. That's all that comes to mind at the moment.
  3. We were discussing if it should be moved to debate club, and you jumped in saying this thread was a debate - it was not, the thread was a rant that spawned a debate in some of the replies that had already ended. You seemed adamant that this wasn't a debate, and there was debating in this thread. I was just pointing out that it was a debate, even though that much debating might not qualify it for the Debate Club. I'm a stickler for semantics. I apologize for the distraction.
  4. That's not what this thread is about. Just because someone disagrees with the OPs opinion doesn't mean it should instantly be moved to debate club, then moved back when the debate is settled #-o I am not claiming that it should be moved; all I was saying is that it was a debate. I wasn't saying that it should be moved, just that there was debating. Then you say this: So you said before that you didn't create it for debate, then you say that you brought it up just to debate. All you've accomplished here is to confuse the hell out of me.
  5. For the sake of combat xp and drops, slayer is probably not worth it. I don't really understand the whole push towards being at maximum efficiency with everything recently -- it seems like since I came back from my 9 month hiatus in March, it's MUCH more prevalent than it was before. Maybe someone can explain to me why this has suddenly come up. I try to be efficient with things, but I'd go insane if I was to do what people always seem to suggest as being the most efficient. As for whether or not this is a debate, it was. There was debate, exchanging facts and numbers back and forth, arguing as to what was best. That is a debate.
  6. It's not all that hard to get into the DKs to solo without a suicider. There are two ways I can think of that it can be done (and I have done both): - Come armed to kill Prime and Supreme, kill Supreme with piety+protect from mage (run up the ladder if Rex comes after you), then safespot Rex (still with Protect from magic), then kill Prime once Rex is dead. From there, keep killing Rex. - Upon entering the lair, immediately run due south, then west. If you're lucky, Supreme and Prime won't notice you. This can take multiple tries to get it right, but it is very possible to do. Overall, the first method there is more reliable. When I solo, I go as a mage/range hybrid anyway, so bringing a melee weapon isn't that much more, and if it's a Saradomin Godsword, it can be used easily for health/prayer restore, something you'd want anyway. But some might not want to bring a bow and melee weapon, so the second method can work (although a suicider is simpler, it's not always possible).

  8. Sometimes there's people down there training and can help you open the gate, or even another soloer that'll help you get in, and then you part ways. I see, but that's leaving a lot of it up to blind hope, isn't it? Yes, but every now and then it works. Sometimes, it's your best (read:only) bet.
  9. But using the astrals and laws for teleport to Moonclan? Gets costly quickly. Use a dueling ring or amulet of glory if you don't want to use fire runes each run to bank.
  10. ok...what about for the dagannoth kings? what would be minimum levels for that? and i really dont plan on training summoning What I gave are pretty much the minimum stats for hunting the Kings. Sure, it can be done with less, but I don't recommend it. The exception is that it is possible to do it with less than 68 summoning if you have Guthans, but with 68 summoning, it is much easier and a lot less risky.
  11. With your stats, no. For any serious boss hunting, you need pretty much straight 80s in all combat stats but prayer (70+ to bless graves and use piety) and summoning (68+ for bunyip, 88+ for Unicorn Stallion is even better). So get better stats.
  12. And there is reason to think that someone out there honestly believes this [cabbage]? I don't see where the hell someone sees the author taking herself seriously in all this mess. Give me some proof that the author actually believes this. I want to see it. There's no reason to take this article seriously that I can see.
  13. Someone click on the [bleep]ing link. Please. That is all I ask of you. Right above this article, you will see this (emphasis mine): It might not be good satire, but that's what it is. That's why context is important. WHY IS THAT NOT IN THE FIRST POST? I see one other person noticed that in seven pages. Why did no one else in seven pages think to even click the link? You're treating bad satire like someone's actual opinion. We've given this piece far more attention than it deserves.
  14. At 68 summoning, don't buy Torag's/Dharok's legs -- Verac's skirt gives the same defence plus a prayer bonus. I used to use Guthan's religiously, but now I don't own it and don't miss it -- being able to use a bunyip almost completely replaces any need for Guthan's with the exception of the rare place that you can't use familiars (Barrows is the only place that comes to mind that one might possibly come in handy).
  15. Each will give you 32k extra xp, so you'll use one hammer for every 64k xp.
  16. I used to use it, but the differences aren't all that large. A Glory has the same attack bonuses as a Fury, so it doesn't affect your kill speed all that much (yes, there is a slight difference, but since the strength bonus over a glory is small, it's only a slight difference), and I personally don't miss it all that much. Yes, I will probably buy a fury again at some point in the future, but in the mean time, I don't miss it. So yes, it is worth it, but if you don't have one, just keep on training and buy it when you manage to get the money -- don't knock yourself out trying to get it.
  17. Please, capitalize only the first word of a sentence unless that word is a proper noun. I think you underestimate just how much 95k monkfish is. You can go ahead, but, looking at your stats, you'll probably burn out long before then. Take it more slowly at first.
  18. I believe they're called "Broad-tipped [arrows/bolts]". Also, they're cheap. Quite cheap. You'd probably be better off buying them and using points on learning to make slayer rings, the slayer helmet, then the rest on slayer dart runes. They add up quickly.
  19. My concern was this: You're saying that since the keystrokes I enter and the keystrokes that the game picks up are 1:1 (pressing A sends Left Arrow and nothing else), it's within the rules?
  20. Unblock them. You make money off their drops now, since drops like seaweed, water orbs, and sapphires are noted, and I believe they drop more mithril arrows now, which don't sell instantly, but still sell. They are also, as you know, amazing for crimson charms. (Just make sure you use a good crush weapon.)
  21. I don't have a programmable keyboard, but I find often that I want to move some things around (WASD to control camera, Shift to run, move mousekeys to a more central location on the keyboard, etc.) and I was wondering what programs are legal to use for those purposes. I don't want to remap the keys in the registry because it would be simpler to use something like GlovePIE or AutoHotkey, but I don't know if those programs are legal to use. Any clarification on this topic?
  22. Light Temple from Mourning's End Part 2. Or, if you can get the timing down to with ~10 seconds, Heroes' Guild (it can be done).
  23. As for competition there, I'd say that there's less competition than Heroes' Guild, but that's not saying all that much. It's a decent spot to mine rune, though I'd only mine it if you can get the timing down and have something else to do on Neitiznot (smelting or such). Do whatever it is that you have to do then mine the rock whenever it respawns. If you want to mine rune quickly, there are better places.
  24. Well, whatever you do, the first and best place to start is farm ranarrs. Takes only a few minutes, and you can come back 90 minutes later to some money. Perhaps you could try out runecrafting; powerlevel making fires until level 44 (use dueling rings, teleport to Duel Arena, run to altar, craft, teleport to Castle Wars, bank, repeat) then use the abyss or a similar method to craft nature runes. Good money, but might be a little repetitive. As suggested, cutting oaks then turning them into oak planks is a possibility -- oak planks cost 250 each but sell for ~450 each, giving a decent profit. Slayer is a decent way to make money, but not great until you get to higher levels. Still, it's rarely repetitive, so it definitely has that going for it. Those are just a few suggestions. Maybe you can find something else that works. Most of all, though, just do things that you enjoy.
  25. Just go for the trimmed cape. To me, it's more impressive for a person to have multiple 99s unless the one 99 they have is slayer/summoning. But you shouldn't care that much what people think of your accomplishment; if you want a trimmed cape, get it.
