Super hot girl who is actually worth my time to text message all day just confirmed to come to my friends party this weekend. I was super happy cause we have had good chemistry going on for the past few days, but then I grabbed the wrong spoon (too small) for my cereal and now my morning is ruined   THE NEVER BEFORE SEEN DOUBLE THUMB DOWN!
-
This was the first thread I opened this morning and I just sat there in shock, letting my cereal get all soggy.

So essentially you've been drinking tap water. Maybe you'll drink more often if you actually have something with >3% alcohol. [edit] not calling out Bows, I just really really really despise coors. I've pretty much been drinking more and more beer lately... Pabst blue ribbon is nice and cheap even though it's bleh

Last nights powerhour resulted in five burly men doing burly things in their boxers. Unsurprisingly all the women left the party and we finally got a boys night goin' on for the first time in years.

The whole point of hooking up is because you're only attracted to each other on a physical level. And Dupin, philosophy is fine as long as your teacher isn't a scientist complaining about other scientists and how they think (especially if you're studying to become a [bleep]ing scientist). I constantly have a little voice whispering in the back of my head reminding me that my prof is just a washed up student that couldn't get a proper research job so he's just hating on all his peers in front of the undergrads.

Good lord those "skirts" that models wear high up on their waist and hang super high give me such a huge boner. When they're being worn by hot, naked women obviously. Aaaand instead of telling you guys a fun story I'm gonna go take my morning shower (and not touch myself).

Hah, I successfully trolled my philosophy professor I made a post of two days ago. We were supposed to hand in a paper with our life goals and what we wanted to get from the class so I wrote down "win the lottery and impress my friends with big words". To my surprise this morning I received a two page (about 600 word) e-mail from him being all concerned about me. "THAT IS NOT THE PURPOSE OF BIG WORDS!" he actually typed them in caps. Also, apparently I'm too smart to depend on a chance draw in the lottery to secure a strong future. I had the biggest troll face on and was about to send him back an honest reply, explaining how I don't like telling people my life goals but instead I'm just gonna troll him some more. It's not everyday you can mess around with a dude with two PhDs  .

My mom was 38 when she had me and it was the first year where they tested for down's syndrome of the fetus using karyotype analysis. So they forced my mum (well, me) to take the test and it turned out I was diagnosed with Down's. Thankfully the doctor (on a whim) decided to test me again and eventually concluded that I was perfectly fine. Thank god my mum didn't just go "lol wtv get rid of this one and let's hit the hay again" when I was in there. When I was told this story I was 10 and thought for sure I was [developmentally delayed]ed. Good stuff

You either pay for the phone (700+CND) straight up at the service counter or pay for it over something like 36 months with a contract. People say it's cheaper to sign the contract but I don't know, I'd have to do the math before committing so much cash.... and if you go on a long vacation and your service provider isn't available in that country you're paying for a phone you won't be using. And not only do you need a phone plan (for calls & texts & voicemail & caller ID) but Apple also charges a base fee for data consumption. All in all, I'd rather keep my chunk-of-coal razer and receive long love texts in 5 parts if it means I can keep paying 10$ a month for unlimited everything. Everything about the iphone is way overpriced.

It's easy whatreyoutaalkingabout. Something that adds oxygen to something is called the ____________. [bleep] me. I can't do double negatives this early in the morning, lets all just agree that chemists are terrible human beings.

Wait, there's a more costly version of American Apparel? Their stuff is already like 70$ a sweater and 40$ a t-shirt. Ridonkadonculous.

Today my philosophy teacher (why am I taking this class...) wouldn't shut up about how nothing is defined and that we know nothing (plato's cave, kant's problem of induction, ect.). After two hours of discussing with him and only getting answers like "define truth, then!" or "okay so then according to you what is reality?", I raised my hand and told him how I now knew why they had Socrates killed. He laughed a nervous chuckle and I swore under my breath because that pissed me off even more but then class was cut short

Apparently FruitDealer had to quit pro starcraft brood war back in the day so he could sell fruit and support his family. Then, when he heard SC2 came out he entered the GSL and only told his parents about it once he got to the semi-finals. Now he just won 87,000 USD ... what a baller (and a half).

You guys know of any cool sweaters for this winter? I've successfully outgrown more than half of my sweatshirts and I need some warm baggy ones for the cold.

HEY stop dancing around the topic with your fancy words and just tell us more stories. *pops popcorn*

Immortal Technique - the poverty of philosophy coolest socialist ever?

I know that was probably a quote or something but I couldn't agree with you more. I hate elitism because it's making my life really easy and fun but at the same time I despise myself for reaping in all the benefits of being part of them. In acadamia, atleast (and the good looking persons club). Then I look at my friends who are just as smart as me but were born in a different part of town, with poorer parents, and they're stuck with [cabbage]ty lives and my heart sinks. I think you're on the right path for the future though. Any teenager with even a little bit of foresight will realize that working hard will lead to more open doors in the future, yet so many fail to realize this. You're also setting yourself to get beaten up by those same kids for acting like you're higher than them, so avoid letting anyone know your exam grades or any of your accomplishments. It's worked for me

I spent the last two hours figuring out the different chiral hexene isomers. I only found the R and S isomers of 3-methyl-1-pentene. Apparently there's more but I think my online assignment is full of [cabbage] and that there are only those 2. EDIT: I took the hit and decided to "view solution" and it turns out I was right. HOWEVER, online assignments are garbage, and apparently I wasn't supposed to include a hydrogen in the structure so even though I had the right answer I was marked wrong. Well then, I'm off to go smash something. brb.

0 (final velocity) = 60 squared (initial velocity) + 2a (acceleration) times 115 (distance) 0 = 3600 + 230a a = -3600/230 =-20 i don't know how you're nutty units work but that's how you do it.

I... did not know this. Must try now! *fills bathtub* My gym doesn't have a pool so I don't swim at all for exercise. But in 2011 my gym is supposed to move into a new facility with a pool and I may consider picking it up if all the babes do as well.

Noticing loved ones growing old is probably the most heartbreaking thing that ever broke my heart. Luckily for me, my grandparents were already extremely old and senile when I was young and now they're dead. However, since I was born when my parents were pretty old (I'm the youngest), I'm now noticing my own parents grow old. On a daily basis. It suuuuuucks. Worst thing in the world. My once all perfect parents suddenly became these old lump-of-flesh mortals. I discussed this with my brother who lives on his own and it turns out this is much easier to deal with when you don't notice the change on a daily basis. So you're pretty well off my friend. Love your parents as much as you can before they become old and senile.

Infamous ? what. Organic chem is massive but it's great. imho much more practical and applied than normal chem. Pretty fun, and way more interesting. Only real downside is the IUPAC stuff and there's a significant amount of memorization. Depends on what you like as well. I remember the whole alkene, alkane, functional group, all the various species etc which was interesting learning about but not so much fun memorizing. Then theres' more difficult stuff like resonance, conjugates, enantiomers, and processes, like esterification, polymerization, addition /substitution reactions. There's a whole other bio related side with amino acids, peptides etc but I never did that. I can't believe I let this piece of garbage be the last post of this thread. Organic chemistry is junk. The worst part of the course (reactions) is just nonsense electron pushing all over the place (not for all reactions mind you, most of the time its very logical). And guess what, organic chemistry 2 is all about strange reactions with funky exceptions. The only way I can possibly get a good grade in this class is by memorizing 50 or so different reactions. The only upside to the whole mess is I've had two really cute lab partners for both 1 and 2. BIOCHEMISTRY, on the other hand, is the most baller course I've ever taken. Within the first three weeks of this class I learned so many answers to questions which my biology teachers normally say "lol ask a dirty chemist lol". It's the only chemistry course I've taken in my entire life that I've actually enjoyed and found interesting.
