  1. 250 Air Waves will get you through with plenty to spare. I myself used about forty to fifty casts of Fire Bolt with chaos gauntlets. Wear mystic or monk robes.
  2. Maybe it's because RuneScape isn't technically subscription-based? After all, you don't have to pay to play.
  3. Why lie about when you started? Pk everywhere was removed before teutorial island was even added, and you could be a non pker and have no risk whatsoever. When i started, there was no teutorial at all, every one could pk anywhere and had an option to switch it on or off, armour had no level requirements, the strongest monster in the game was a black knight. I was killed by a very evil pker named wolf who ranged me from the lumbridge cabbage patch. What the hell are you talking about? PKing was removed X-Mas 2007, last year. Tutorial Island has been around ever since I can remember (5 Years of playing, only level 74. Never was a skiller). Now, if you're talking about random PKing, I never played Classic, but I have heard about Challenged PKing, where you challenge the person to fight, not attack... So, why even talk if you haven't the slightest clue what you're talking about? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Heh. Heh heh. Heh. I'll bet you never played RSC, huh?
  4. Meh, you can use the thirty second home teleport before the rocks start to fall. Trust me, I do that all the time. Take your time next time you get a drop. :P Congrats on your first drop. May the next one be even better.
  5. Dude, if you do that, I'll post a rant about your ranting rant rant. Also, this topic is a waste of space. You didn't need to post an entire topic when you could have just replied to the rants.
  6. Guess I should feel lucky for going from no defenders to seven rune in under 1,500 tokens, huh?
  7. Don't stress about it, man. Do what I do. I play the game to have fun. My skills are crap, but I don't train them since I don't like to at all. I pretty much only do Slayer and Barrows these days, because that's where I have the most fun. Who needs 200 million experience and a super high total level if it makes you start to dislike the game?
  8. No, you're still a wee bit confuzzled, I think. Let's say Bob wants a godsword. It's 30m in the Grand Exchange, but all the merchants feel it's not worth that little. They want 40m for it. Bob posts on the forums "buying godsword." Ted PMs him saying he will sell it for 40m - that's 10m above the limit! How? Junk! Ted puts up the godsword in the trade window (value of 30m) and 10m worth of junk. His total selling value of 40m, because the junk raises the cost. Bob puts up 40m in cash, and the trade is complete. What does Bob do with the junk, though? Well, some junk can be used for minimal experience, such as pouches (turn to scrolls), or unstrung bows (string them for experience). Junk can also be alched if it has a decent enough alch value. Other junk can be sold to players seeking junk, but this is rare. Bob can also keep the junk if he wishes to add value to an item he wants to sell later. Say, he wants to re-sell his godsword for 40m. He would first find a buyer willing to pay 40m, so Bob could put up the godsword (30m) and the junk from the last trade (10m) to receive the 40m cash from the buyer. So, in summary, junk is used by sellers to increase the price of the item they are selling far beyond both Grand Exchange prices and trade limits.
  9. I only tend to double strum on really fast eighth notes, or sixteenths. It's really up to personal preference and how fast you can single strum. As for how to do it, well... just use your thumb and index finger to hold the strum bar, sort of like you'd hold a pencil. As for other assorted advice... I don't really know what to say. I just sort of skipped hard once I figured out how to play and just jumped into expert. Try keeping your index finger on red (use index and middle fingers for green + yellow), and make sure to exploit the hammer-ons and pull-offs. Don't be too heavy with your fingers - keep it light. Figure out how much pressure is needed, and only use that much. Oh, and don't panic. ;) Of course, I guess this advice isn't coming from a master, but hey - I can do most expert songs. :P
  10. You should be able to log into a member's world if you're still subscribed. If your subscription expired, you should be logging into the middle of Lumbridge anyway, so that's not it.
  11. I caught it. It wasn't necessarily ha ha funny but I understood the sarcasm behind it. Well, not only did the topic creator agree with me, but he PMed me to organize such an event. Sooo.. yeaaaah... >_____>
  12. I dunno... Gin seems to make sense. A few lazy players who just want the most amount of cash they can get off their junk would probably stoop to buying a buyer for their junk.
  13. Crap, I'm sorry. I guess I didn't think of what would happen. See, my comment was actually a thickly veiled statement of contempt and dislike. My apparent interest is just that - apparent. June 31 is not a day. Check your calendar. It doesn't exist. I guess I should have added some sarcasm tags, huh? I thought at least one person would have caught that, but whatever. Oh well... sorry to waste your time.
  14. Yeah man, I did Dragon Slayer with about those stats and equipments. Good luck.
  15. As a future reference, visible boosts (potions) will always stack with invisible boosts (black mask, salve), but invisible boosts will never stack with each other.
  16. Dude, this is a great idea. Let's set the permanent date of Wilderness Memorial Day to June 31.
  17. Maybe not to you, but 1 million is a ton to me. But I guess you just have to move past it.
  18. Even with antifire potions without a shield, they can hit you pretty dang high with firebreath - in the 20s, maybe 30s. Just use an antidragon shield, and only ten monkfish.
  19. Rune defender, black mask, obsidian/Legends cape, Barrows gloves. If you don't want to do RFD at all, then get a combat bracelet. When charged, it's pretty handy for Slayer.
  20. Let me just point out that since attack, strength, defense, hitpoints, range, magic, and prayer are technically skills, removing skilling would also remove combat. Then what would we do? If "skilling" but not combat skills were removed, where would the armor, food, arrows, and weapons come from? But the counter-point: aren't many of these things easily available from monster drops or stores? Of course, things like prayer potions and super sets and cooked sharks are nearly impossible to obtain in large amounts without someone to make them, the prices would be absolutely absurd. Face it, PKers sort of need skillers, but skillers don't necessarily need PKers. There are plenty of non-PKers willing to buy those foods and potions, but in a skill-less world, where do the PKers get the things they need?
  21. So your reflexes were so slow, or your arms so weak, that you couldn't just pick up the cat right after it jumps on your keyboard? Or did you just stare at it for a little while as it manages to do not just one, but eight lines of spam? You realize that with that much spam, it took you at least ten to fifteen seconds to respond to the cat. Are you physically or mentally handicapped? I'd understand if you were. You seem physically and mentally capable of moving the cat, though. So unless you were frightened of a cat, or it weighed like eighty pounds, or your friend would beat you if you even touched it, you could have just picked him up.
  22. You know, they never removed the Wilderness. It's still there. As for choosing, I'd choose "RS2" for the trade limit removal, personally. But I'd bet more would move on to "RS3." Probably I'd play both.
  23. I'd suggest adding a Guthix stole (20k or so) and different boots and gloves. Maybe desert or mime boots, and mime gloves? For the weapon, Silverlight isn't bad, but you could also try a staff of some kind. For the cape, either Guthix cloak (600k D:) or Guthix mage cape from the Mage Arena (if you've got 60 defence). Personally I think the hat is stupid, but that's just me. I'd do no hat, or a nature/air tiara, or a tan cavalier.
  24. Yeah you'll always burn monkfish, but once you get in the 80s, it's extremely rare; in the 90s, you'll never see it, but it's possible.
