The forgotten changes - safe to revert?
Well.....this game lets you do anything. So if you're losing ground on one end, you can gain it on the other. If runes are cheap, alching goes up in affordability. If runes are expensive, go make more runes and sell them. You can't lose if you set yourself up to win both ways. Get yourself some fresh Xanatos gambit, there's enough for everybody! Look that up.

The forgotten changes - safe to revert?
Well......if anything, changing everything back would make the price go down.

What is a challenge if you can have your hand held while undertaking it? It's up to you to adapt to the change or just go without the cape. That's dumb. You're defending a move that has basically removed part of the quality of the game, and that's apparently a good thing. "Oh, so you don't have a monitor? Suck it up, fight Jad without it or play another game." "So what if you don't have any hands? You should be able to do it with your feet. This other guy did it. Why can't you?" "The server's down? That shouldn't be an excuse. Go buy a plane ticket right now, fly down to Cambridge, and start kicking some staff members in the groin until you get that fire cape. What are you sitting there for? Get off your [wagon]!"

4th September 2009 -Machinima Competition- Cast Your Votes!
While it may not seem that original, it must have been hell coordinating every last frame's emotes so that they happened at the same time. EVERY. LAST. FRAME. I think I would have liked it more if it had ended by accidently teleporting the dancers into a boss fight. Also, although I do like Excl's style and execution, his video idea wasn't exactly original. I'm pretty sure a few hundred other videos used the same idea. I mean, that's what you do in an essay assignment when you can't come up with a topic and you're making it last minute. Yeah. Real original. However, I do give him credit for making an entry that shows him kicking one of the judges in the jangerberries.

Well, it's not like we don't have several instances of other NPCs with the same names, like our limited edition set of Nigels. (Collect them all!)

I wouldn't cry too much about terrorbird pouches, I heard that they weren't economical anyway plus I have like 2000 of them in my bank or something, so going by the fact that everybody else seems to have ten times the amount of anything I have, I think we're set for the next year or so.

To throw us all off, they are going to bring out the next skill, the new fairy quest, and the new dwarf quest, as well as releasing Mechscape and announcing the merge between Jagex, Blizzard, Bungie, and Micro$oft. What are we going to call that company? Jizziesoft? Kudos to picking the most disturbing combination of names. Hoo boy..... When they do fix all these crazy things, this update might be one of the better ones of this year. EDIT: Hah, I had about 21 lunar staves before this glitch. I figure that if I manage to lose all of them, I might have to seriously reevaluate what the heck I'm doing ingame.

Post and discuss all Jagex Twitter updates here!
Okay, so then we're good. On one end, there's probably some quest involving short people. On the other end, we've got two interface updates in the form of signposts (whatever that means) and coinshare (or something that doesn't involve wordplay that obvious). Or if they decided to add autocoinloot (rofl), sure, why not.

Eh, I don't think it's as funny as the original, but that's how things are, eh? Plus I think you took that one about the giggling straight from the original.

Yet another Jagex interview [30 august]
Whoa, hold up. No other sci-fi MMOs? That's ridiculous! In order for that to be true, they would have had to start the Mechscape project AGES ago.

Alching or autoing
Heh, I've had an entire conversation with a friend during the course of the Dream Mentor fight, which he didn't know about until after I won and told him. Then he freaked out cause he thought he was being inconsiderate.

Dev. blog - Changing Names, 27 August
There will indeed be a name "gold rush". Will you be ready when it happens?..... Well, if they pre-announce it so that people who haven't logged in for a long time get a chance to rescue their name, perhaps so. But it could really go either way, their track record points to complete chaos when it comes to this.

If you pick "Signpost", Jagex will try to censor you in an attempt to hide unreleased content, even when you've been in full view of everybody.

From what I understand, the way they'd make the skybox is that it'd just sort of float above you fixed to your camera and follow you around to give you the illusion that it's infinite.

Player Owned Houses - How much do you value them?
I've got a split between functionality and having a nice house. Plus now that rooms are movable to some extent, I can put the ones I need next to the portal now... I also sometimes actually sit down to eat some virtual food just because it'd be a shame not to use what I paid for.

Offtopic, I think the reason why people dismiss the whining is that it's less that you're right and they want to deny it, and more that you're getting way too much enjoyment out of it. Sure, you say you're unhappy, but you're giving off that attitude that you'd rather have it stay that way just to give you an excuse to whine and be right. Ontopic, I'll just come back a couple weeks later.

Is it strange if I've coincidentally had maniacal plans to house a small penguin encampment in my house in order to further the Motherland's goals?

The Ban on Minigame Clans?
You only lose when you have set yourself up for it. ..... And then afterwards you get called out for rigging the round.
-
The Ban on Minigame Clans?
It will be impossible to enforce this ban enough for it to be an effective countermeasure. When they realize this it will be only a matter of time before they try to "fix" the game, Guthix help us.

Tip.it Times: 9 August 2009
Ah, the crazy world of Runescape, where not only do people willingly submit themselves to sweatshop working conditions (read: no bathroom breaks) for long periods of time, they actually pay top dollar for the experience at every opportunity to do so, lose money on the end results, and complain whenever it becomes easier. The people who have been subjected the most to these inhumane practices are considered champions.

Whats with this? (afk'ing on spiders)
Wow, pretty good row there. .... If that was P2P, you could totally just get em with your cat.

Whats with this? (afk'ing on spiders)
So, if you know what's going on with your computer yet do nothing to stop it from happening, does that count as recognizing what's going on? I mean, if you KNOW you're doing it and you're there, it shouldn't matter if you're awake or not, if we're going by that definition.

iron ore.
Well, he can't be getting that rich, dumping that amount of ore would take way too long before the price bottomed out. He'd have to fight to break even.

06-Aug-09 RuneScape Q&A Mark Gerhard
Well.....it is true. Despite their much lauded "epic amounts of F2P content", the free game is primarily designed to drop off almost all support for higher leveled characters at some point or another, plus a general lack of certain somewhat important bridges between levels where you're stuck just making more of X instead of moving onto better things. (Last I checked, cooking thousands of lobsters isn't in-depth gaming.) This is a problem with P2P also, but they tend to get priority treatment on the matter. Then again, that's the way this game was made, and people tend to accept it too easily rather than push for change.

.... Did anybody forget about the overall inflation from PvP in the past few months?
