Attacking skillers (read full)

So today i was killing green dragons with my standard 3 items and monkfish... I was taking a break from runecrafting after some twelve hundred natures... So i was relaxing and having a gander and a lvl 77 and 94 come up...

Now i don't judge on people and such but this level 94 was using mithril armor a d-skim and no glory... After his first kill I promptly attacked him myself with my d-skim... Now he teleported after a few hits and the 77 that came with him asked why i had attacked him... I replied that he would slow down the dragons as it was an empty world with slow sprawns and 3 people there would be a pain to get full... The 77 gives me the expected reply of "omg, i can't believe you noob!"

Now i'm wonder what yall think...

Cons of my view:

I take the risk of losing my items now

I lose food if he hits or had poisoned me

I might have to tele losing overall valuable time

I could run out of prayer if i had been using a whip

Pros of my view:

I gain time

If he had had items i might have gotten some

Since i play with chat on hide or off i now don't risk the chance of being accused of being an auto'er when i don't talk

His view:

Its not nice

I made a guy tele thus making him lose time

--I can't think of more... y'all got any?

So, I attacked some poor innocent trainer... should i be ashamed? Maybe, am I? Nah, i take the risk when i get a skull so in the same manner i reap the rewards when he teleports...

Now obviously i could have been charming and social but since i only have one hour to play why would i spend my time talking to someone i don't know who will cut in half what i am able to accomplish...

Anyway, what do yall think? Am i a mean haggott who hates on those poor skillers... or just a dedicated trainer myself who won't let another player stand in his way...

I think atacking anyone in the wildy is fair game.

Don't feel "ashamed" about atacking someone who is there to train, they should of assumed it would happen eventually.

semi off topic:

No one should complain about abby pkers, your in the wildy so you deserve to get atacked.

Look its rob!

You were perfectly justified in doing that. Would I? Doubt it, depends on PKing conditions though, and what I was wearing.

Its sorta like Abby RC pking, if Jagex wanted people to not pk, then they wouldn't put it in the wildy. The wilderness (Was) about risk vs reward, and it would be for the best if the wildy was made a decent place to skill.

I personally would not have. I don't think it's really justified to kill another player. Just put yourself in their position. How would you feel if I attacked you without giving a reason. If I really want him/her to leave, I would've asked before attacking them and making them lose a tele and food.

Now if they were rude, I'd start by stealing all the dragons and if they still annoyed me, I'd attack them...

Do onto others as you would have them do onto you.

I presume you do not feel very pleasant when a pker come in and bother you, then what make you think that you bothering other people is justified? It's very self-centered to think your time is more important than theirs.

I think you did the appropriate thing. You could have politely asked him to switch worlds, then killed him if he didn't. What I would have done, were I in his position, is switched to a different world. In your position, yes, I would attack him if he did not change worlds after I asked him too. Since you were there first, it was appropriate to guard "your" territory.

Bottom line: it would have saved both of you time if you had simply asked him to leave, but what you did is acceptable.

perfect grammar is one thing, typing like a drugged monkey and enjoying it is another

AMEN!

I don't personally play that way, that being said in the wildy i really dont have a problem with it. Afterall it is the wildy but again sharing never bothered me much. Unless the person is rude.

when I train at dragons I expect to get attacked at least once per session, and usually I am. If I am almost full of hides and bones i tele otherwise I might fight.

Its expected if someone your level is there that you may get attacked so dont feel to bad about it. It is the wildy after all and the only reason to bring full mith is you dont care if you lose it. I prefer black dhide myself to give me a chance vs those mage pkers.

personally i dont like going deep wild, nor would i attack another guy in the wild.

but yeah, i would probaly do the same if i was in your shoes. if he is just wasting your time, then you might as well make sure he leaves

i understand about what you mean, but i would actually warn him before attacking. i wouldve said "please leave, or ill attack you".

the wildy is lawless, so there is no wrong in you attacking him, but these are words from a guy who never pked in his life

i'd of asked him to log really because making someone waste time like that isn't that good.

So would you attack someone who was training agility in the wildy arena because they got to the pipe before you making you wait?

I give a lot more respect to pkers who attack skillers than to skillers who wear junk armour in wildy. It's wilderness and killing is the main part of it. It also has many unwritten laws which you either seem to have skipped or at least not understood.

you were in your full right when you attacked this guy, but, so are the people that attack you when you get back to abyss rcing :P

if you desire to take the advantages training in the wild can deliver you will also have to accept the risk of getting killed or just attacked by others

Wildy isn't the place to make friends or to make people happy. Someone slow you down? Kill.

That's how I see wildy :)

amen to that

yep, as people have said the wild is for Pvp.

The fact that your 3-iteming is not a big deal...but I ussually kill dragons in full attire. Sure, I risk a lot if I am indeed pked, but at the end of it all, I feel less ashamed when I attack someone making the time go slow.

However, If I do skull, I ussually teleport to duel arena instead of castle wars and get rid of my skull. It takes up time, but the time is worth it.
