I'm almost 16, but another interesting thing that I've always wanted to ask the adult RS players, Do you still converse/be friends with younger players, say in their teens, or do you stick with people your own age?

 

 

 

Interesting question Deceiver2. Personally, I will converse with anyone. Most of the time I have no idea of the age of the person I'm talking to, and I wouldn't care anyway. I'm often asked for advice by newer players, and I'm happy to oblige. On my friends list are my 12 and 15 year old nephews, as well as my 28 year old work colleague and a lovely 30+ mother I met in the mining guild. As long as you don't beg or be rude, I'm happy to chat to anyone.

 

 

 

P.S. Wow - this topic is running hot! I sure hope Tip It make it into a poll to determine once and for all what is the average age of players - they might need to split it into F2P and P2P though.

I'm 18. In Runescape that's probably a good 4-7 years above the average, not more than a year or two on this forum, if that.

i'm 14 rite now, had an acc when i was 11, started this one at 13. i got a friend who is 30 something, he's my friends dad in real life awww crap i shouldn't have said that... -.- anyways, i don't ask ppl their ages, only if my friends ask me, i tell them im 45 and have chest hair :XD:

Im 17 myself. I know a few players personally, as a few family members play, the oldest in their 60's. I think its higher then people realize, just most older players are mature enough not to get noticed.

I'm 16, and have been playing on and off scince I was about 10ish. I played WoW for a while and found most people are 25+. I doubt the same can be said about RS

To be honest, I think that the older you are when playing this game, the smarter player that you will be.

 

 

 

You have the 13 year old geeks (excuse the stereotype please) who play the game non-stop and level up real quick but don't have the attention span to continue on. But, you have the forty something who's experienced life abit and knows how to get along without showing off, and stick with it. This is why probably 99% of the top players are >25, the "noobs" being <15, with the average being in between. It doesn't matter to me as much of your age, just as long as your doing something nice.

I started playing RS when I was 35, I'm now 37. My kids got me hooked.

 

 

 

I have quite a few RS friends of a similar age, even a husband and wife who play. But many who are alot younger. I treat them all the same and try not to let age be an issue.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

RS appeals to all ages, and they play it in thier own way.

There is no specific age limit to no longer be able to play a game. my friends dad is 48 and has been playing since the begining of Rs.

In maturity levels i say 10, in actual age 12-20 (big guess)
