The new hot keys

Maybe the new runescape plays might use, it really depends on how Jagex tells them. I dont think its going to be much use for the older rs players because they have never used anything of the sort.

Well I use the inventory tab quite a lot- very handy.

 

 

 

Also my friend is planning on using em for fightcaves :D

 

 

 

Yeah hotkeys are really useful in fight caves. I still died though... I think i need something better then full rune...

I hate them I use F12 to take Pictures for my gallery and that interferes completely with it by switching it to Music Book everytime I try to take a Pic.

 

 

 

If your using a screen-capture program like Gadwin, you can set it to Ctrl + Prt Scr.

 

 

 

If not, then just Prt Scr should work, no?

I guess switching from the prayer menu primerally right? If it isn't then please continue and explain. I'm considering going for the Fire Cape soon.. as soon as I get enough to buy Guthans.. Even at 80 something defense I get the feeling something will go wrong, and I don't want to ever have to go through those caves again..

 

 

 

u got it switching between prayer screen and super restores/range pots

 

 

 

I don't know why you'd press escape because you're still going to use your mouse anyways to turn on the prayer or chug a potion. Might as well just click on and use only 1 hand.

Well, you can save those precious microseconds of mouse movement. Once the keyboard presses are committed to muscle memory it makes a difference. As any WoW player can tell you.

Its a place holder for when they us the tab to the left of Friends.

 

 

 

 

 

As for me, the only places where I would use them I'd need the inventory, and thats the only hotkey that doesn't work for me. :(

I find it much more tedious and annoying to use the hotkeys. If I had need of a different tab than I was in at the moment, wouldn't it just be easier clicking on it, considering that your mouse is already near by?

I just tried it out, so its pretty kool, not EXTREMLY useful, but useful nevertheless. I will be using the invent one quite alot, and the pray and atk options are good for fights where you switch menus alot

I think those shortcuts is pretty helpfull actually. I use them alot, and I think they're great. They don't save so much time, and there isn't any really great benefits with them either. But I like them, and I use them anyway.

It may help if one has trouble using a mouse due to disabilities. Otherwise, can't think of any advantage other than being able to switch tabs while hovering the mouse in a certain position for a respawn. :-s

I've Re-assigned my keys, so that the six keys above the arrows (insert, delete, pg up/down etc) are the more useful tabs.. much more useful than the Function keys.

I use a program called D-System Keyboard remapper, it allows you to have 2 keyboard layouts; Layout 1 is your standard keyboard layout, layout 2 is customised (making your PC think you pressed Esc when you really pressed Del). You can simply toggle between the 2 layouts using scroll lock.

Personally, I don't see a use for these at all. You still need to use your mouse to click on whatever is inside that tab anyways, so I would find it much more trouble to find the correct key in the first place.

Personally, I do not use them. I work really better with my mouse. But I think hotkeys are useful for staking, between dds special and whip.

I think it's a good update, and some people might find them very handy, but I don't. I'm just used to clicking the icons, that's all. (And, believe me, I can click those icons pretty fast! :mrgreen: )
