How come when your feeling kinda sick and then you think of like greasy food you immediately puke but you never actually tasted, smelled or saw the food phsically? That happens to me...like I once was sick and I thought of this hambuger I had eaten a couple days before and I puked right then and there. Its happened multiple times to me.

One time I was in a dead sleep and i was dreaming and suddenly in my dream a roach landed on my face and i jumped in my dream and physically and i nearly fell out of bed. My face kept itching for the rest of the night (i kept waking up) where the "roach" fell on it in my dream. Creepy...

Funny thing is... Every time I imagine something crawling on me, I feel the urge to scratch off the tingling sensation that spontaneously occurs on that region...

Goddess, did you do AS psychology? Because all that stuff you just quoted was what I studied when I did.

On topic - Apparently when you drop a baby into water it'll automatically swim (anyone remember tomorrow's world?) although I shudder to think how they found that out and my auntie won't let me borrow my 4 week old cousin <.< can't think why.

 What hurts me the worst is when I remember the screech from my kindergarten days. Our teacher just got a new board to write on and she kept pushing her nails on it :wall:

Now any small screech like thing makes my heart either jump forward or stop for a bit.

Its like your jumping in ice

Just something I learnt a while ago from what I remember in an introductory unit.

The only people who tell you that you can't do something are those who have already given up on their own dreams so feel the need to discourage yours.

Known fact : males always wake up with morning wood.

A morning erection that is naturally caused as the brains enters the REM-deep sleep phase. At this stage, the body's skeletal muscle structure relaxes and causes hypervasodilation in the capillaries of the body, resulting in said erection.

About the guy saying he had the wolf dream, It's probably because your leg was in a painful position and it woke you up.

Something like that happened to me once, but a bit scarier. I had a dream once that I was suffocating, and eventually I woke up and found myself shoving a pillow on my face and pressing hard and suffocating myself. I could barely breathe when I stopped. It was a bit frightening.

I went to eat pickles after I read the post. There was only 3 left .. =(

The human brain is amazing, I agree, but it goes much more further than saliva when thinking at pickles, you could have mentioned beliefs by example, and their amazing power to control our behaviour.

What about those dreams in which you are either lying awake in a warm bed, at a train station, etc? They seem to imply that if you fall asleep, board a train, etc., you'll die.

They are really weird, but not scary at all.

Also what about feeling pain in your dreams? That always sucks.

It's worse to actually have one crawling on you. Once, a small roach (light brown kind) somehow got into my shirt and I was in my parlor and then I felt something and I started to freak out because I thought it was a spider. It was worse... A ROACH! I began slapping the hell out of my neck and it kept moving real fast so my mom ran into the room to see what the noise was about and she shouted "Hold still!" and slapped it off my neck. My neck had a very itchy sensation that kind of hurt afterward.

Oh and in school, some sex education people came and started describing different STDs. My skin itched after that, especially when they were talking about pubic lice, or "crabs." They told us crabs burrow into your skin and reproduce in that area and it forms a pocket of nothing but lice under your skin and they drink your blood. It reminded me of the scarabs from the Mummy Returns and I could imagine thousands of lice bursting out of a huge pocket in your skin. It still makes me shudder.

Every time I think of something that would really hurt, whatever area that pain would occur in I always feel the urge to move it. Like, for example, if I thought of something that would really hurt on my leg, I always feel the urge to move my leg.

If I do that, I immediately start feeling pain on the part of my body I think of. For example, if I think of someone who was stabbed in the chest, I can actually feel a pain on that exact area. Strange, I know :P

the weirdest thing is that if i see a cat in pain on its tail i can feel it

DO I HAVE A TAIL? NO!

its at the base of my spine *right* where a tail would probably be

ive only read as far as that quote so far

For example, I went to a store to buy a card game (I don't remember what it was), and I got a headache. I played it with my brother while I had a bad headache, and when I tried to play it again the following day, I got a headache.

My big brother has something like that. He was sick when he first heard the song "Invaders" by Iron Maiden, and now hates the song because it makes him feel sick.

Both of these have been said before, but I won't bother quoting:

About the jumping in the bed thing, I've done that too, quite often actually. I'll be dreaming about something like walking on a sidewalk, then I'll step off an unexpected curb and wake up to find myself feeling like I've just been dropped from two feet above my bed, with the springs creaking and everything.

And also I once ate a hot dog while I was sick, and now they make me sick if I eat more than one, sometimes I can have two. The smell gets to me more than anything.

I sometimes get that with ants. If I feel one crawling on me, I'll get the sensation I have tons of them walking on my whole body even if I have already killed the single one that I saw.

Our brains are the most complicated things in the universe... :-s  especially girls :-$

thats a great statement, but a very arrogant one indeed. what if theirs a race of an extra-terrestrial being with a far more advance brain than ours? wouldnt be surprised
