August 14, 200718 yr What happened to that rule where the conditions or setences you get must be equal in degree of the crime? Writing "okay" on a desk is definatly not a crime at all. Show me where it is. America is starting to suck big time now.. it won't be long till were no longer "free" :( ~Defender~ If you love me, send me a PM. 8 - Love me2 - Hate me

America is starting to suck big time now.. it won't be long till were no longer "free" :( ~Defender~ If you're interested, i'd like you to go watch this: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6885277369482418431&q=Terrorstorm%3A+Final+Cut+Special&total=25&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=0 It's a very interesting documentary related to this. It'll help explain what would take hours to do by myself. I'd also recommend it to anyone else. Even if it sounds crazy at first, watch the whole thing.
August 16, 200718 yr Guaranteed 100% that we are not hearing the whole story. It's bound to be a sensationalist article when the ACLU is involved. There is a point where being naive and ignorant become distinct. You have clearly crossed this border. Now i do not make this flame for no reason, but if you stop to think about the "article" for 30 seconds, could you come up with a crazy twist to the story that they are leaving out? Considering the child was being arrested under the charges of "Criminal Mischief" and "vandalism", i am not sure what part of the story they ACLU (Damn those liberal bastards trying to protect the Bill of Rights! The bill of rights was always the constitutions drunken cousin) is leaving out. So you try and dream up a way the child would deserve to be handcuffed for writing "okay" on the desk. off topic: Please, everyone stop writing about. . . "In MY school, if someone writes on the desk..." EDIT: i forgot to bring up the point; that being why was this article in the early spring? Everybody lovin' it, but ain't no body touchin' it
August 16, 200718 yr I think people think that the cops came in with squad cars and the likes while it was probably just the regular School Police most schools have nowadays. Even then it's still stupid to be arrested for writing on a desk. well today at 11:30 am 14 years ago i was born.. wo0t!!!At 11:30 you should start holding your head underwater wo0t!!!Stop acting such a moron.
August 16, 200718 yr Haha, thats funny, my desk at school was a testament to all my favourite bands, you should of seen it. But yeah, we're either not hearing the full story or it was a stunt to teach the kids a lesson as school graffeti could be a major problem?

The scenario described in the article was such a ridiculous sounding story that I HAVE to question its integrity. If that truly was the whole story, god help us, but I don't think it's naive or ignorant to have a little problem believing the article is 100% accurate. You've never seen a news story that exaggerates the truth to get a reaction from the readers?
August 17, 200718 yr Ha, they better not wander into my english class, or my cisco class, or my french, or my physics. x_x But really, this is stupid. Arresting someone for writeing on a desk?! Shure a detention. Wow..
August 17, 200718 yr O my goodness, that handled that horriblely, they should of called SWAT! I mean really, a 13year old girl writing 'okay' on a desk??? Thats out of control!
August 17, 200718 yr Wow, that's crazy. In my school these kids in study hall (the teacher, who just covers the room one period, was probably out or not paying attention) pretty much drew a mural (I believe nothing offensive was on it) on one of the desks. It caused everyone to walk over to the desk before a normal class, and all of us thought it was actually real impressive. Idk if the person or people (juniors/seniors) got caught, and what happened to them, who knows.

But yeah, we're either not hearing the full story or it was a stunt to teach the kids a lesson as school graffeti could be a major problem? I really don't think so. Although I can't be certain, I think the media has it right this time. And even if that were true, this is still a plainly obvious case of excessive force. And the author of this thread is right that this should be a wake up to all freedom loving Americans of what's happening to our country.
August 17, 200718 yr New York sucks and so does the school system + police system, end of discussion. =; When you mentioned the Dragon Plates I had a sudden vision of a load of gangsters running around in fancy dress yealling "Grim Reaper in da hood!"
August 17, 200718 yr Later when that girl wants a job: That's quite a record you have here! Writing on a desk! Sorry, we can't hire criminals. A lot kids write on their desks... It's a bit suspicious that they take that child. But if the kid didn't do anything else, then it's just plain wrong. That's not how you handle a 13-year old. And even so... It's only writing, I've seen worse things happen to a desk. "A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do"[Currently playing: K1ll L1f3]

It's only writing, I've seen worse things happen to a desk. Back to the therapist for me then :XD: With reference to the italics: The only concievable way i think this could happen and not be crazy is that the girl is a persistant offender of a more serious kind in school. THe policeman was in the school, probably on other business. The girl recieves an instruction from the teacher and ignores her, they sort of argue, it culminates the in the girl writing okay on the desk and being sent outside the class maybe. At this point the police officer walks past, and says "why are you out here" etc etc. The girl gives him some attitude, and he is going to the station so he says (with only a slight note of seriousness) something like "apologise to your teacher or i'll arrest you for destruction of property". Now we have all been/are/will be 13. So we pretty much all know how stubborn a 13 year old in that situation would be. I think he arrested and processed the girl, to scare her a bit maybe. To shake her up a bit. Just my two-pence. And if you do all you can, that's all you can ever do. - Warren Rudman But men are men; the best sometimes forget. - William Shakespeare
August 17, 200718 yr What the [cabbage]? If someone drew a swastika on a desk in German at my school, the worst they'd get is a lunch time detention. This just seems to be an over reaction, next thing you know they'll be calling the SWAT teams when people start spraying graffiti on things. "In the beginning, the universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move."
August 17, 200718 yr Police demanded that Fraser empty her pockets and take off her belt stupid pervert new york police wanted the girls trousers to fall down?

December 14, 200718 yr Sad tbh... I guess the cops need to meet their monthly quota of arrests? -.- In my school, I've nearly drilled a hole through a table, and the teacher doesn't even bother telling me off... There is no meaning or truth in life but that which we create for ourselves.
December 14, 200718 yr reason why america is going down the drain like mexico. cops are becoming horrible.
December 14, 200718 yr wow...my friend drew a full landscape portrait during English class today with a pencil, it was quite good, he even showed the English teacher (who is pretty laid back) he just kinda laughed and said erase it. Arresting someone?? remind me never to move there...
December 14, 200718 yr Lol, I got caught for writing on my desk today and my teacher just said "shut up." I laughed, and he got mad because he told me to shut up and I was making noise : My Latin teacher needs some help :-w
