September 17, 200718 yr It depends.... Examples such as "U", instead of "you" or "Thx" instead of "thanks" are fine and I use them myself. The game chat isn't well designed for long sentences so at times you're forced to abreviate. Some people take it too far though....

September 28, 200718 yr I am a stickler for spelling and hate it when people spell things wrong on purpose...I don't mind the abbreviations as it can be a pain to spell things out, especially if you are selling something and trying to be quick. L33t speak drives me crazy ...usually ignore these people even when I have something they want to buy.
