If i dont, my hair gets all puffy and looks weird. Plus it feels alot softer then leaving it.   I wash mine everyday just because that's what I've done since I was little. And I don't care how healthy my hair is, as long as it looks good 8-)   Same here, I can't stand not washing it every day, since it's what i've always done. It gets a little annoying at times, but I look strange without it. Unfortunately I need a haircut right now, so I look like that kid from those Bob Sinclair music videos.. Necromagus Posted October 7, 2007 Share Posted October 7, 2007 Does anyone have anymore advice for long hair while gardening?Well, when I work at a dig site (I'm a second year archeology student) I just wear it in a ponytail to keep it out of my face, since I spend a lot of time bent over. When I'm working in direct sunlight, I wear a keffiyeh around my head. They're pretty cheap, and they're the perfect solution for spending time in the sun. They're very light, and unlike most hats and baseball cap they still allow air to circulate. If you pour water on it before putting it on, your head will be cool for hours. I use a smaller one. I fold it into a triangle, place the long end against my forehead, then tie the two corners together at my neck, letting my hair fall through the hole above it.      In some areas the keffiyeh also has a political message though, so some people might overreact to it. Just remember that it was designed and perfected by people who spent their entire life under the desert sun, so it should be good enough to keep you cool while working. Maybe you have long hair yourself?   I personally like long hair, and I'd like to grow my hair.   The thing is though, I want to go into the gardenng industry when im older, but working in the garden all day with long hair will probably make you all sweaty and uncomfortable. If you wash it daily. but yes, my hair once hit the top of my spine, even then it was heavy when wet. It's hell on your neck... I dont need a siggy no moar.
