pipeelbakan
I know this topic already exist, but i'll mention this: I staked a lot, and got xlogged too much times, now, i'm glad to be staking without xlogging, so this looks like a small change. But for stakers is an important change: Jagex said: _________ Duel Arena Changes: We have made some necessary changes to the above-ground staked and friendly duels of the Duel Arena: There is now a cap to the amount a player can win in the space of 15 minutes in a staked duel, which is set to 3,000 coins. This limit will make it harder for real-world traders to unfairly use the Duel Arena as a covert way of transferring items. Of course, if you want to take part in some high-stakes duelling you now have the duel tournaments instead! The gp value of any item wagered in a staked duel is defined by the 'player value'. This 'player value' of an item will change according to any market fluctuations once the Grand Exchange has been introduced. Logging out of a staked duel will mean that you have forfeited the match, and the staked items will go to your opponent. Stats boosted before entering a duel will reset to their normal value at the start. You can still use potions during the duel, provided they haven't been disallowed. ________ Edit: wow, 3k max, didn't know that lol Talk only about xlogging please Saradomin gwd drops: 6 Ss, 2 hilts. The Observer
The new duel arena change is a bit.. extreme. There are alternative methods for "drop trading" which is risky, but can still happen.

qeltar
Stopping xlogging was like fixing a flat tire. Latinoking
Like I said in the official thread. Updates like this and where they think are helping, but in actually mess people over. Pure Ess, Ditch(slower rc), Duel Arena...etc. This is why Jagex/RuneScape will always lose to Blizzard/WoW. The 3k limit isteribly excessive, I agree, but I see no need to do anything other than rant for a 50k-100k limit, changing it to hourly. Wow Jagex finally realized there is something more besides their arbitrarily made up high-alch values: mysterious "player values". Oh well apparently they are actually even going to track average market values of prices now. ember3579
Personally, the "xlogging" update should have been there from the start, but such is the way of life. On the 3k stake limit, however, there's an issue. It's perfectly alright, IF YOU'RE LEVEL 7. Even a set of STEEL costs more than this!!! When they wake up and check the rants forum, if my guess is correct, the post dedicated to this will be well over 2000 pages long, if not 3000. The number of members accounts will also probably send a message. On the tournaments, I think they should have one room where the tourneys are set up as they are now (with the obvious change of how they're paired up, instead doing it by LEVELS, and allowing numbers as little as 8 start after like 5-10 mins), and allow the players to set the rules and ante in another room. That's my only real gripe there. You never know which rabbit hole you jump into will lead to Wonderland. - Ember3579Aku Soku Zan. - ShinsengumiYou wanna mess with me or my friends? Zilla
Febuary 12 Hello everyone, over the past two weeks, We havent released any updates because remember the super good update we were talking about last year? We are going to tell you now!!! Recently because of real world trading, We made Duel Arena 3,000 GP Max per duel, then we noticed They could still trade!!! So we removed it. That wasnt enough, So we had to Cancel the new skill we were going to release, since we thought it would attract RWT. We removed the wilderness, considering so many people died there, we had to destroy it. Whats that? People could still just trade? So we removed trading feature, since we dont want any unfair advantages from RWT, so we removed it!. Then, we noticed people would drop trade! so we removed the drop feature. Another update that happened during January, we thought when a NPC killed you, it would drop you items, we removed that feature! we had to remove combat from the game, but dont worry! Because of all those lawsuits from middle-aged mothers because they didnt want there 9 year old exposed to such cruel violents and such, We added features that would make this game suitable for for a 7 year old. Because of that, we added a feature only for 12 and under, so we dont have any sick people. Another recent update today, since parents didnt want there child exposed to such evil taboo language, such as "Noob" Or "Stupid" We censored those words too! Just to be safe, the lowest censored word is "Lol", because we thought it was a bad word. Now, today we also reached a millstone, 200,000 Members! We are almost 300,000 members, when we reach that, we will release a new skill! Its called Rabbit hugging. A week from now, we will tell you another update. Because parents are complaining because of the title, We renamed our game, Bunnyland! With that, we can have 400,000 members!!! Well, in 4 months from now, we will shut down runescape, mainly because gold farmers are still making money, enjoy your stay, it was a great game!. Runescape a year from now, This may be our grim future...
Alak_the_Great
Don't blame Jagex, blame the stupid RWTs I, personally, think this update was good. Staking is a stupid thing for the arena and only served as a make-shift wild. People were out there staking their Phats, Santas and other rares. JAGEX DOES NOT WANT ANYONE OWNING THESE ITEMS SO THEY'RE GONNA DO WHATEVER THEY CAN TO STOP SO MANY PEOPLE FROM GETTING THEM! 3k is really low though, maybe 50k would do, but a limit on how much can be staked was prudent. I'm not playing right now, but I'll be back The best song in RuneScape.
Angelic
This barely effects anything except stakers, RWT can still transfer the money easily enough, go pking and lose it to buyer, die to an npc with the loot, drop it, trade a ridiculous amount of money for something and say you got scammed, or like someone said pretend you're an old friend that quit and gave the money away. All this is doing is annoying legit players and hardly hinder RWT.
CowsEatFood
I hope jagex un-does part of that update. I'm glad I wasn't planning on making some type of staker and making it member for a month :-w . As many people have said *I'll put it in my own words tho*... its like cuddling a kitty so its purring and then dropping it into a fire while its covered with gasoline *while its still purring*.
