Age Of Fast Money : Dead forever.

Featured Replies

I fletch.

But without the autoers, I have to pick flax and spin them myself... I'm not paying 160-175gp per bs. :?

The yews are also skyrocketing.

One day, when I look back on all this, I'm going to think to myself:

What the buck was I thinking?

3 words: the grand exchange...let my money work for me and let others toil and slave and bring me in money while i go do rl stuff.

Actually I used to make money EXTREMELY slow, but in the past 3 days I've made 20m with a secret method 8-)

ooh, do tell! =P~

Anyways, I skilled and dked for my money. Never staked, pked, or merched for money so I'm alright. Just with dking now, you'll have to go with a group of 3 in which each member takes on a king themselves. No one to split the drops with then :o .

Man, I really do love Runescape, and I'm sure if it was a real person I would of asked it to marry me by now.

I used to be able to make up to 4 mill in one or two days F2P pking. Is that not fast money? Even know, if I can find a world, with little amount of runers, I can ko the level 60s, and 70s with my r2h. Which is quite good to me, because I'm pking the same in a good night(has happened three times/nights).

So no, if your a highly skilled pker with decent hugging abilities - and you can pk duh, pking is still an option, whether or not you'll get teamed. Be smart.

And Hunter? I made 5mill from 66 to 80 in a week. Now that I have 5 traps available, will it be faster, or slower do you think?

RCing is still a very fast way to get cash, sure it decreased by 70 gp in the last 2-3 months, but bleh, it's decent if you pay attention.

Smithing addy bolts is also decent if you don't lagger off to the forums frequently.

You can still make money fast, all depends on how dedicated and how long you can go before going to Tip.It, RSC, or any other Fan Site, or another game, or program, when you could be playing RuneScape making money, those few seconds add up.

Runecrafters will rise to the top again :)

This thread reminds me of the Nvidia commercial sloga: "The way it's meant to be played..."

I never staked for cash, did pk sometimes with my old f2p clan but that's still possible in the bounty hunting area, so the updates didn't really affect me that much. It's good that people use their skills to make money: mining rune, crafting nats/cosmics, monster hunting and slaying (using slayer or soloing/teaming bosses), gathering raw materials, ...

I always made my money from barrows and slayer, so I shall be continuing to do so.

I normally use skills to make money, so I'm not too effected by this. The only thing that does worry me is inflation/deflation.

How will they rise to the top? The endless armies of botters have left the essence mines; now prices are gonna skyrocket. And, if it is the "best" way to make money now, everyone is going to do, causing rune values to go South.
If the CORPORAL beast is this hard, imagine how hard a GENERAL or COLONEL beast would be. a corporal is not even an admirable rank in armies that use that ranking system.

Yeah, it is a pking minigame, so any arguments anybody makes will probably be biased.

The best way this will end :Everybody just says,"I'm not arguing with you anymore, goodbye."

The worst way this will end: I don't really know, psychological warfare? Worldwide thermonuclear war? Pie eating contest?

I sold a lot of my monster hunting things to buy a ZGS, which in my opinion was a great buy. I only want to buy my Guthans back and then I'm looking forward to not worrying about money for a while. I think people will stray towards skills more, with woodcutting yews looking more like a decent money-maker as the price of logs rise.

Old way of making money: merching small rares (even though I'm f2p)

Money per hour: between 150k-200k per hour (might not seem like a lot, but that's because I couldn't use RSOF)

New way of making money: wcing yews

Money per hour: 50-75k?

Am I mad? Not at all! I'm happy with making less money per hour, because there are no more bots, and runescape overall is a much better place. :D

I'm pretty much done with merching...rares will most likely crash in Jan... -.-

You can still read them. That's how I bought/sold mine.

I know, that's what I did, however it was still pretty difficult, because many sellers had their private chat to friends, and I couldn't contact them. :(

I used to Merchant, Slay, Barrow and DK.

I'm carrying on doing all the above, except Merchanting. :boohoo:

before the update, i barrowed and slayed for money

now... i barrow and slay for money...

siggity siggity shwa

Now there will be less alchers, the price of natures will -and has already- fall. Down by upto 50gp per rune right now is a loss of 100gp profit per ess for a 91+ rcer. That's gotta dent the profits there, but they're still good :P

Skilling and barrows will definitally be the most popular money making tactics in the future. From for example slayer and mining you can make loads of cash if you have got a high level in it. Barrows have also always been a good way of making cash, and now more people will start using it to make money.

lGxorje.png

Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak

Skilling and certain minigames will increase but i dont htink it will that much. Alot of pkers have been quitting so it can't really be predicted that much.

Prices may fall but a lack of autoers will force them up a bit :D

I've started merchanting (i didn't like merching in f2p) and while I have something for sale in the GE waiting for it to go I can be in Lumbridge woodcutting yews for extra gp. Its great honestly but alot of things have changed, because no more bots people will have to spend more on raw materials and some finished products will cost less for some skills.

RIP Michaelangelopolous

I never bothered with staking or PKing, so I'm used to not making fast money and as such, the recent changes don't bother me.

The only way I'd expect to make fast money is if there's a new item released that's worth lots of cash (i.e. the new shadow dark beast thing or the full d helm)

What I used to do if I needed lots of money: Hunt chins, sell MTK products, sell pked goodies.

What I will do now for lots of money: Chop yews, make yew longs and alch ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ or get the odd lucky drop while training slayer. MTK products sell too cheap to make a decent profit these days, so I use them for skilling instead.
