jasignhagj
Post your stories about why you chose tip.it forums here I chose tip it last summer because i had a lot of old stuff that i wanted to sell (before grand exchangre). I looked at some other sites like rune HQ but i found that that tip.it was a lot more mature. although i hardly play runescape anymmore, i still like browsing and posting on the forums. edit -- the tip.it guides are far better that other fansites
highlanders
I didn't really choose tif. A good friend of mine asked me to join tif so that we could talk together, send pictures, watch her pixel art, etc. So I did, and stayed. 2480+ total
InkofDeath
The layout of the main site is just so much better than any other site out there, and then the guides and how they are lied out is also very satisfying. That's why I used Tip.It regularly at first, and I still do. Tip.It is much more visually appealing than any other FanSite out there. From there I found the forums, and then the community. The community in OT is what kept me.

The community in OT is what kept me. Pretty much the same thing for me. I started out just using the guides and website features. Then, I created an account to use the Marketplace forums (I was f2p back then) to try to buy/sell stuff and I just slowly got more and more into the forums from there. > SELECT * FROM users WHERE clue > 0;0 rows returnedThere's no place like 127.0.0.1There are only 10 types of peoplein this world: those who understandbinary and those who don't.This statement is false.$DO || ! $DO ; trytry: command not found
Lord_Shalaj
I was looking for a much better, organised and less spammed-environment forum. The RS forums contain the inverse of all the qualities I have mentioned. I also wanted to enhance the knowledge of this game, and what better way than to get to know the views of the other players? Apart from some moments, Tip.It forums continues to impress me with some ingenious threads. Keep up the good work! ;) Thanks.. The community in OT is what kept me. same for me. the first site i ever used was RuneHQ because it had way better databases than tip.it at the time, although i used tip.it for skill and quest guides. tip always seemed the better designed and better run fansite so i stuck with it, then when they finaly released all the databases i stopped using other sites altogether. Strangely i didnt find these forums for almost 2 years  No idea why as i've always been a big forum poster but it just never occured to me to look for them on tip.it  I tried Rune HQ but they were too strict and Stormy's Amazon was an [wagon] to me. Yeah i tried signing up for runehq about 2 years ago but i think they had some weird validation system or something. I lost interest and gave up after a few minutes :P

krisc6
I went to the tipit event team's halloween mega 6 hour extravaganza and i was compelled to tell them how well and how much fun it was and after browsing and posting on other boards, i got sucked in. Latinoking
Sal's Realm forum looked dumb, Draynor isn't active imo, RuneScape Community is okay (I got an account there, but simply browse like once every six months or read stories not mentioned on tif), and never tried RuneHQ. Tip.it was the first fansite I saw thanks to a very old runescape friend, and since then decided to join the forum when I started to play RuneScape again. Tip.it Forums>>>>>>>Forums out there. Kilo
I was searching for a guide on haunted mansion quest once, and tipit came up, so I used the guide, and a year or so later I joined the forums. I had used Rune Hq's guides before, but I hated the gold selling ads they always had running. :shame: Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.Oscar Wilde
Julius Casar
I used Tip it basically only for the guides and information on the main site; it took me a couple months before I started using the forums, and then another couple months before I bothered posting (this is my second account :P) Please take a look at my blog here. Those who can not accept change condemn themselves to living in the past.99 Range - 99 Mage - 99 Defence - 99 Hitpoints

The Observer
I searched "RuneScape" in Google and it was the second result after the main RuneScape website. I went over to it, liked the guides and decided to setup a forum account. I didn't use it for months. I started using it again when I wanted to join a clan. I looked around for one here. While I waited, I looked around at the glorious discussions and here I am today. :)
Stewie_Griffen
Because RuneHQ confused me, RSC still hasn't quit whining about the Wilderness (and their GD Forum is more of a rants forum), and I didn't know anything else.
Shiny
I choose tip it forums because the community seemed much friendlier than other fansites.
