champion
Normally my advice for something like this would be to do what makes you happy, and that you shouldn't care what other people think. But if you're repeatedly liking photos of girls that you don't talk to/know, well, your reputation wouldn't improve any. Considering your actions and second-guessing yourself aren't always bad things. But hey it's just Facebook, do whatever.
xSxqPowerx
If you're not good friends with them, it will probably come off as really creepy to have a random guy going through and liking pictures of girls (whether or not you intend it that way). And to My_Eggs, everything you've ever posted about that girl (and I don't even check this topic that often) points to the fact that she is nowhere near mature or responsible enough for a serious relationship, and cheating was really a matter of time. Being a dick to the new guy... meh whatever. I'd hate him too. But realize that she's not worth your time anymore, and just don't do anything that you will end up regretting. Bonez899
Meh, its all girls that I talk to/are in my class. Anyone else I just ignore, most of those ones I even bother ignoring are ones I should delete but I just can't bother doing it. http://forum.tip.it/topic/325514-bonez899s-journey-to-an-eventual-max/ My blog of progress on Runescape. fastortoise
I only 'like' pictures of girls when they're trying to look pretty on purpose. Other than that, I keep it to myself.Today I've been thinking a lot about Egg's situation and about where the blame should lie, because I've been on all three sides of these cases and I still don't know. obfuscator
I think you should be angrier with your ex-girlfriend than that guy, she didn't have to accept his advances. She could have told him to [bleep] off, that she was in a relationship. I understand it sucks and they're douchebags, but now you're just being obnoxious about it.Bravo for a post that's sane. Eggs: Ultimately, your gf was the one who chose to leave you. Randox
I've been thinking about Egg's situation too, and I agree with Champion. How much flirting is acceptable is really up to the person/couple, and I would say that the responsibility lies with both parties to 'defend their honor'. For me, I'll take a few compliments or jokes, but I've also had people who we're so determined to ignore the fact that I was with someone that they didn't stop until I promised that if they said another word I was going to stand on their chest and swing a sledge hammer into their crotch until they didn't have a dick left to think with, because at some point it goes from compliment to incredibly disrespectful to me and my partner. So yes, he's a tool for coming on to her while you guys we're in a relationship, but it doesn't exactly sound like this was a one sided deal. She could have told him to [bleep] off, and instead I presume they are sleeping together. I'd also like to say that from where I stand, doing the whole intimidation thing makes you one of those crazy jealous stalker exes that end up having restraining orders filed against them. As for the whole illegal activity thing, I guess for me it would probably come down to what she is doing. As far as I can tell, 5-15 seems to be shortest sentence the United Stats justice system has on the books, so that covers everything from robbing a convenience store to driving really fast. But I do think that if you turn her in, you will regret it for the rest of your life (unless she is doing something that is going to get other people hurt, in which case it might be the other way around). RpgGamer
I have been so drunk the past 48 hours. I don't even know where to begin. But I'll leave you with this: Fencing Helmets do not make you fireproof, no matter how many beers you pound, or glow sticks you toss. And that's after I cleaned it. I jumped off a roof, and got a bunch of splinters, then stuck my hand in a 5 foot camp fire to rescue a sombrero [cinco de mayo] and it mutilated me. The burns melted the splinters in my skin, the straw from the hat fused with my flesh...hurt like a [bleep]. Giordano
Don't be a snitch, don't turn them in. That's just being an unreasonable ass over no reason. Breaking up is a real possibility in every relationship, so why would you ruin her life like this? Indirectly and subconsciously, you are blackmailing her to make her remain your girlfriend. Then you blame the other guy more than your girlfriend for breaking up with you. Women are not objects, they have free will and a right to choose who to be with. You can't be mad at her not liking you no more; either blame yourself or accept the fact things move on. sarg1010
Can't you also get in a bit of trouble for withholding information when something illegal is being done? Actually, I just checked. If the crime is discovered, you can indeed be charged for withholding information. But if it's not, you aren't obligated to report it. Unfinished netherrack symbol of Khorne. Randox
Can't you also get in a bit of trouble for withholding information when something illegal is being done?I believe this makes you an accessory to the crime, which generally comes with the same punishment as if you had committed it yourself. Could be wrong though. This is a good point though, something you might want to consider.
My_Eggs
I'll figure it all out in the morning. At the moment I'm in no state of mind to make any decisions. When someone knows a person who sells drugs, but doesn't turn them in, they don't get in trouble when the dealer gets busted though. At least I've never heard of a situation where someone got in trouble just for knowing that their friend sold drugs but never snitched on them. I don't know, maybe I'm just to messed up right now. 99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving. At least I've never heard of a situation where someone got in trouble just for knowing that their friend sold drugs but never snitched on them. I don't know, maybe I'm just to messed up right now. From our friends at Wikipedia:CriminalAiding and abetting is an additional provision in United States criminal law, for situations where it cannot be shown the party personally carried out the criminal offense, but where another person may have carried out the illegal act(s) as an agent of the charged, working together with or under the direction of the charged party, who is an accessory to the crime. Internationally, it is comparable to other laws governing the actions of accessories, including the similar provision in England and Wales under the Accessories and Abettors Act 1861.It is derived from the United States Code (U.S.C.), section two of title 18:(a) Whoever commits an offense against the United States or aids, abets, counsels, commands, induces or procures its commission, is punishable as a principal.(b) Whoever willfully causes an act to be done which if directly performed by him or another would be an offense against the United States, is punishable as a principal.Where the term "principal" refers to any actor who is primarily responsible for a criminal offense. For a successful prosecution, the provision of "aiding and abetting" must be considered alongside the crime itself, although a defendant can be found guilty of aiding and abetting an offense even if the principal is found not guilty of the crime itself. In all cases of aiding and abetting, it must be shown a crime has been committed, but not necessarily who committed it.[3] It is necessary to show that the defendant has wilfully associated himself with the crime being committed, that he does, through his own act or omission, as he would do if he wished for a criminal venture to succeed.[4] Under this statute, anyone who aids or abets a crime may be charged directly with the crime, as if the charged had carried out the act himself.[5] This is distinct from the concept of being an accessory after the fact, a charge distinct from being a principal. So I'm not sure that inaction is really enough. It looks like you need to have prior knowledge of the crime, but also you need to do something (or not do something) to help that crime take place. I'm not sure if just not reporting it to the police is enough. This is when it's good to have a lawyer in the family. Every family should have one.
