1000 things I want to do today but here I am catching up on school work. Booo

I'm starting to feel more afraid for my exam period in January, I haven't exactly been the best university student so far. 

I have failed in one subject and am near failing in most ones.

Need to start doing something now.

Will be spending Christmas break on three projects, all guitars. Building a telecaster, a Les Paul and then going to try to make a J-Bass body from scratch (a mahogany or paduk body blank most likely).

 

Also will hopefully finish the second Game of Thrones book and start the third.

 

Now to just get through Final's week.

Autumn sale on Steam. Bought the complete CS package for like, $7, and Garry's Mod for $5.

 

Also bought Skyrim for $14, which was pretty rad. Maybe they'll be cheaper during Christmas, but I didn't want to risk it.

 

Finished a lab report today. Now to start on my quantum homework. Probably won't start until tomorrow just cause I don't really feel like working on it today. I know it's going to bite me in the butt.

Got a Nexus 5 today. It's a beautiful phone, the screen resolution is amazing and the OS feels even smoother than iOS which is something even the 4 was lacking.

 

At work they recently replaced blackberries with iphones 5s. With the way people talk about them I thought they were better. My old LG Optimus G is faster and smoother than the iphone.

 

I bought Skyrim again recently too.

 

If you haven't played it in a while, the 1.9 patch made things a lot different in terms of how skills are levelled, and you've probably forgotten how to do most of it anyways. The DLC is dirt cheap as well now, so it's well worth another play through. Using that to keep me going until Christmas, when I should hopefully receive the new XCom game.

 

It's what I've asked for anyways, 'coz I can't really afford to buy it properly at the moment. Can't wait for it. :)

I agree, so far I find the iphone to be extremely limited, and I can't even jailbreak it because it's the work phone, it's not even my own. I still prefer by far to use my android phone which I haven't rooted because I haven't felt the need to do it. Blackberry was pretty good but the iphone can do more than blackberries, but I think iphones are too locked.

 

Also I will never install itunes on my own computers.

Pre black and black Friday sales were horrid at Walmart. The sheer number of people in the store was amazing to see. Thankfully I have tomorrow off. Going to play my euphonium for the salvation army tomorrow outside of stores in the area for their kettles.

Got my new laptop in a pre-black-friday canadian equivalent. Got a $700 laptop for $500. Replaces my not so old shitty ROG laptop that only lasted 2.5 years while the old Asus I used to have still is working and is now 7.5 years old.

i had to reseat my ram and i was real unhappy about it and i also watched the season finale of boardwalk empire and it may have ruined the rest of my week, holy shit

These forums really slowed down :\ 8:20 AM for the last post... It's 1:21 AM right now  (all related to where I live of course).

 

Anyway I've seen from multiple sources that Paul Walker died. Didn't know him for much else than the Fast and Furious movies, and while they weren't about races anymore I still think they were good movies (haven't seen the last one yet though). R.I.P. Paul.

That's not even 24 hours, that's not that bad, especially for a holiday weekend for many of the people here.

Heading back to school today. Three weeks until the end of the semester, and they're gonna be killer. :\

Just two weeks for me.. we have a massive winter break this year. 5 weeks.

Wooow. I have a three week winter break. I'm jealous.

Bunch of my friends came down for the weekend due to holidays. Been drinking a lot. Cuts into forum time. I had to fire some kid today for stealing $300 of cigars last night. On camera. In like 5 different angles. Idiot.
