michel555555
as found in http://wcbstv.com/seenon/jesus.halloween.costume.2.853729.html a thirteen year old boy was sent home from school for dressing as jesus christ for halloween. The princaple says that this was not do to any religiouse matter but i'm sure that if someone dressed as buda or any other diety that this wouldn't have happened. Should this have been allowed? [spoiler=click you know you wanna]Me behave? Seriously? As a child I saw Tarzan almost naked, Cinderella arrived home from a party after midnight, Pinocchio told lies, Aladin was a thief, Batman drove over 200 miles an hour, Snow White lived in a house with seven men, Popeye smoked a pipe and had tattoos, Pac man ran around to digital music while eating pills that enhanced his performance, and Shaggy and Scooby were mystery solving hippies who always had the munchies. The fault is not mine! if you had this childhood and loved it put this in your signature!
Dizzle229
Of course it should be allowed, it was just a Halloween costume. Get back here so I can rub your butt.
The Observer
I think that it should have been allowed. You're able to dress as satan aren't you? That's a hell of a lot more controversial. No pun intended.
Intriguing
The princaple says that this was not do to any religiouse matter but i'm sure that if someone dressed as buda or any other diety that this wouldn't have happened. What makes you think that? I have no doubt that if he had of dressed up as Mohammad, there would have been an even bigger reaction. I don't really care either way. It does seem a bit of an overreaction, but some people seem to get offended by just about anything these days. From the principal's point of view, I can see where he was coming from. Cool. Cup Lion
 Little kids are interested in a religious figure, and their curiosity disrupts the learning environment. I am sure there have been many other incidents that have disrupted the learning environment, and that principal hasn't done squat about it. |Signature by Jason321|
