ryno258
I really enjoy all of Matthew Reilly's books especially the ones that have Shane Schofield (Ice Station, Area 7, Scarecrow and Hell Island) but all of them are really good and I would recommend them to everyone, they are all Action/Adventure btw
Roseiah
I tend to like fictional history books. I love the Simon Scarrow series on the Roman invasion, and Manda Scotts Boudica books are amazing. The books are based on history, but made interesting with fictional characters and amazing plot lines. I do like fantasy though, and I tend to read whatever I can get my hands on. I have been reading books every night for as long as I can remember, and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon.

Faux
I just read State of Fear by Crichton. Great book, horrible ending. I don't recommend it at all to anyone who believes in Global Warming because it will be really preachy. But honestly, it's a good book. I'm halfway through Prey right now by the same author. Good book so far. Not as preachy as State of Fear. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
WookieeMania12
Right now I'm reading "Count of Monte Cristo". Really good book so far. Chicken102
I read too much, my parents actually tell me off for reading too much.. (parents are pretty nerdy, well dad is, so that gives a good indication of how much i read) Was up to 3 in the morning last night reading a book that I have already read 7 times.. :ohnoes: I left my wife for a level 59 tank mage

Sumpta
Any of you TIF'ers read any Lovecraft ? Or Poe. Or any general weird fiction. ? Yeah. Lovecraft, Poe, H. Rider Haggard,... Read quite a bit of their books a few years ago when I wrote my thesis paper on Vampire literature. Fun to read in a way, but not a lasting experience ;). Faux
I put away A Case of Need. Not my type of book. I finished reading Timeline though. Has to be the longest Crichton book I've read by far. Faux
Binary is a horrible book. Crichton needs to stick to writing sci-fi stuff. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
Star.
I cannot express my hatred enough for Thomas Hardy. A page and a half describing how beautiful a blade of grass is. Just took out 'The Turn of the Screw' by Henry James out of the library. I'm hoping that it'll be neurotic. Also going to buy 'The Bloody Chamber' by Angela Carter. Nom nom nom nom, her interpretation of fairy tales :D Meh, desperate need for new series or book! D: Help? I kinda like fantasy/adventure/romance-y? Idk eh. Stuff like maximum ride, cherub, alex rider series etc etc? Stravaganza series by Mary Hoffman? I can't remember if there is any romance in there... But defo fantasy and adventure. ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢ CAUTION ☢
Sneldo
My favorite book series is definitely the Pendragons by DJ MacHale. I can't wait for the 10th and final book. I am currently reading Ranger's Apprentice 4, then I'm going to reread Huckleberry Finn for school. The last book I finished was The Invisible Man. I enjoyed it, but the ending was blegh... I liked Shakespeare's 12th Night, only book I've read by him, though. I've read tons of books, most of them are on the easier side, but I read on a college level (or so my teacher says) Fear one thing in all that is...Fear Sneldo. Lenin64
I put away A Case of Need. Not my type of book. I finished reading Timeline though. Has to be the longest Crichton book I've read by far. Deciding between Binary or Andromeda Strain. Andromeda Strain is awesome, I read it a few years back. Great ending, too, but the movie/miniseries failed. I'm about 50 pages from the end of the last book in Gaunt's Ghosts-The Founding. Got the next omnibus ready to go after that. Command the Murderous Chalices! Ezz
Reading Ender in Exile by Orson Scott Card right now, a sequel to the best book I've ever read, Ender's Game. But yeah, I've been reading a lot pretty much all of my life, might be because my mother teaches literature at a university and made me read right from the start :P [insert birds flying in a circle here]Yes, that sig was annoying. Theoknight2
^yes. completely and totally yes. Also, contrary to the legions of fangirls, Twilight series isn't half bad. I dont understand how they could make a chick flick out of it, as its like percy jackson (mythical crap is actually real) only with a serious-er take. Lots of action too.
