February 1, 200917 yr My first random event was interesting.. I got a Mysterious Old Man and I didn't know what to do. A nearby player kept telling me to talk to him so I kept saying, "Hi." I got teleported to that dungeon below the RuneCrafting guild and it took me like 30 minutes to find my way out and days to figure out where I was. I only vaguely remember the circumstances surrounding my first death. I was running back and forth between two locations, gathering materials or something. One time I passed by a bunch of like level 10 Dark Wizards and they practically one-hit me and I lost all my items  I was distraught. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog

February 1, 200917 yr When I was in Lumbridge I must have clicked on a man because the next thing I knew I was freaking out and panicking because I thought everyone was killing me. I believe I might have died too due to auto retaliate being off. I then got left in Al Kharid when a friend of mine logged off. I was lost for almost an hour. My first week was some of my best RS days because I didn't have a care in the world and I was always lost and excited. A typical newbie. February 1, 200917 yr my cousin introduced me to runescape, i dont know what year thou just before bunny ears and in rsc. anyway, my cousin told me to train up on the goblins in lumbridge so i did that for the next week or so untill i got to level 30, about that time i found out my friend played runescape as well and he took me all the way to faldor, and introduced other skills such as minning. we then got all our other friends to play, but i soon quit and so did everyone eles. now me and my next door neighbor are the only ones that play :P Gamertag: EFs Predator.Games I play: Halo 3, Halo wars.
February 1, 200917 yr When I first signed up, it was becuase a couple of goos friends at school had discovered it a couple of weeks before. This was back before there was any sort of tutorial to the game so everything was a complete mystery. First thing i really remeber was training with them on the rats and then sketitons in varrock swers (didnt matter if we died as all of us had less than 3 items- about all we could afford). This was because we had spent most of the week at school planning our expedition to the dwarven mines to fight the lvl 21 scorpion  which spawned there. Needless to say it was a disaster we were killed off by the lvl 14 scorpions before we even got there. After that we met a guy (lvl 40+) who could smith full iron, which at the time was really good so we all ened up working for him by mining and smithing bronze bars which he bought for 20gp. After a while we all had full iron and about 2k gp (yes we owned). But yeah just generally running around like a noob and for the most part loving it. Hopefully someother people also think this, but i often find myself thinking wouldnt it be better just to be a happy go lucky nublet again?
February 1, 200917 yr i remember charging down the goblin in lumy as the first rs thing i ever did.. i saw a dirt path and decided to follow it. assuming the goblin was evil i ran at it fists and feet flying. i eventually got lost in that forrest only to find a bridge to a magical tower full of funny looking wizards... i kiled them to... found the bank. didnt know how to use it so moved onto the farmers place. killed some chickens and realised the feathers stacked to stayed there a while burning chicken meat on a fire random people made. and so on so forth. moved onto mining did the usual newbie thing of mining smithing till 15 smithing then going... OMG I CAN MAKE IRON WOOOT!!.. a little while later, party hats came out and my friend from school got one. i remember getting up at 4 in the morning so i could mine coal before i went to school. that way i could save up 10k to buy one off him... he told me it was a rainbow one to lol... i never ended up making 10k though.. by the time i did the price went up... and so on and so forth...been playing on and off for the last 8 years give or take borrow money off pessimists... they dont expect it back =P.

February 1, 200917 yr Hehe, I remember a friend showing me this crazy thing called "run escape" :wall: (he was a bit weird with pronunciations) And I spent my first week killing cows, with and axe and tinderbox (tinderbox to cook beef). I would take the beef cause "OMK, free Food dude !!" and wondering why everybody wanted the useless cowhides :?: . After that I quit for like a year cause combat sucked =P and came back when a different friend was like "Try mining you fool, it's where all of the money at" So me and him would mine tin and copper at the varrock south-west mine, then walk to the lumby furnace, and walk back up to the varrock west bank, and repeat. I got up to like 40 mining that way and felt so proud =). I would sell all of my bronze *insert highest level item I could make here* to the general store, and then went off and bought my first weapon! A !!Black Longsword!! Man I loved showing off that thing. Then my friend one-upped my by getting full mith, and this strange sword thingy-ma-bobber called a "Scimitar"?? I became determined to one up him, by collecting a whole 30k to buy full addy. So I charged to this new mining spot I had heard of to try my hand at Steel Smithing *insert dramatic sounds here* I got killed by scorps (was only like level 10) and lost my mith pick =(. Back to the cowfields I went, black longsword in hand, and killed cows until level 20 (without collecting those useless cowhides of course :wall: ), found a bronze pick, and made bronze plates until I could afford another mith pick, And then restarted My journey for "Steel Smithing" AHA! I could kill those scorps now, in my shiny bronze Armour, and awesome black longsword. Then I noticed something a bit important ... There's more than one scorp ! I hastily ran out of that place with my (non-existent) tail between my legs. I had more work to do. So I trained more, harder, up to level 30, (I made some iron amour for myself around this time) with my Black Long, at the cowfield. I thought, I need to be ready this time, I'm over double their level, They should Fear Me!! And so I headed the long journey back to Al Kahrid. I donned my helmet, grabbed some shrimps, got my pickaxe, and I was ready. I turned on the run, and charged into their wonder which scorp would attack me first. And they ignored me. They just let me walk past, I was so confused, Take this instance combined with my paranoid nature, and BOOM! it hit me. They were waiting for me to let my guard down! And so I marched to those coal rock, nervously glancing between the rocks and the scorps, mentally preparing myself for the attack, and then clicked on that coal rock. "There is currently no ore in the rock" ... ... ... "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" ... ... ... Ohhh, It changed color, Click it!!! *hit* *hit* *hit* HA! I got you, wait ... It's not in my backpack? "Mining level?" "52" Darn, he had a higher level =(, And so I didn't really know about different world at this time, so I stood at that rock for about an hour trying to get an ore, until he finally left, And I was Like "YES!!! ALL MINE!" and I mined that ore! after about 5 minutes of hearing *think* *tink* *tink* +) And so that's my story =) Sorry about the length, kinda tend to ramble everyonce and a while
February 1, 200917 yr The good old days (hasn't even been a year for me im so noob :? ) walking around killing goblins and running from highwaymen paying the ridiculous 10 gp  to get into al karid and a little pic of me 3 iteming elvarg [hide=] ^ so pro[/hide] i dont remember doing that when i did dragon slayer and a mighty 60cb or so. i remember first starting. my friend showed it to me. he was a whopping 36 combat!!! wow! i thought he could take on anything! when i started, to make money i sat for hours on end killing cows in lumby, that was fun. i think i stayed there until i got around 30 combat. and thats all i trained. then my friend said there was more to RS than combat, so i took a gander at some skills. i hated most of them, except this one which was peaceful and not many people around and very decent money. mining. i would mine iron, coal, silver, gold, you name it, just to make a few hundred gp. i went members, learned other methods, but i am still attracted to mining, and thats y its going to be my first 99. ~ 3,072nd to 99 Mining on August 30th, 2009 ~~ 112,084th to 99 Magic on April 16th, 2011 ~~ 131,681st to 99 Crafting on March 29, 2019 ~~ 178,385th to 99 Prayer on April 2, 2019 ~~ 234,921st to 99 Defence on May 9, 2019 ~~ 173,480th to 99 Herblore on June 21, 2019 ~~ 155,160th to 99 Smithing on July 16, 2019 ~
February 1, 200917 yr dieing to the dark wizards and losing my awesome 3k i had got from someone buying my cowhides for a huge 30gp each! loool it's possible I got that money! :D I was just wandering RuneScape, trying to remember how I got from varrock to draynor, cuz I always got lost. At the bridgethingy from the main land to the wizzy tower I saw some gp, it was like 3.4k and I pm'ed all my friends I was like uberrich :D
February 1, 200917 yr I spent my time begging mostly and most people only have steel armour. I camped gold spawn in west bank and wondered how to get into the jail cell to get that gold.
February 1, 200917 yr When I first started I was walking around saying stuff like "How do I get to castle wars" because my friends told me about it and it sounded cool but I was f2p and didn't understand the concept of members.
February 2, 200917 yr I wandered around for awhile, getting beaten to death by cows. When I first signed up a bunch of higher levels were gathered around the Al-Kharid gate and I thought that was the super-high endgame area. I managed to get enough money, and was quickly torn to pieces by a scorpion. Then I sad faced, and finally found Varrock. Everything after that is a blur, but all I know it involved alot of dying..and doing random quests.(Ernest the Chicken was the first quest I finished, I remember that much) Oh my newb days were so much more fun when I didn't know where anything was.(I also thought different worlds were totally different areas, so I always logged into the lower leveled worlds because I thought the higher the world number the stronger leveled monsters were there) I also remember spending hours mining rune ess and selling for around 10-15gp each so I can buy rune...then getting hacked for the first time, and doing it all over again. Mining was my highest level skill by the time I got full rune again. Owner of Quest Cape 4/9/09

February 2, 200917 yr I remember when the wilderness came and Jagex were saying no matter where you are in the world of runescape, if you head straight north you'll eventually come to the wilderness. Had me not trusting anyone who said we need to go north for quite a few weeks.
February 2, 200917 yr I started in 2002. The first days of Runescape involved me walking around Lumbridge, going to the general store and training in Al Kharid on the men in the building. I remember I stopped at level 8. At level 10 I discovered the walk outside of the map glitch, but luckily did it on another account. (This glitch involved going to the second story, going 5 steps before the ladder, clicking on it twice. Then you will appear in the wall. Then you click on the black and you could go anywhere in the game. But you couldn't get out unless you had a teleport.) Other than that, it involved training some skills and learning the ropes, even getting some free stuff from kind adventurers. http://hiscore.runescape.com/index_lite ... r=Smithy93
February 2, 200917 yr I thought worlds were different maps. I lost my tinderbox so I made a new account (I'm glad I did my first acc. name was horrible). I asked some guy to take me to cows he lured me and pked me. I saw you had to pay 10 coins to get into Al-Kharid. I thought "Omfg the rich guild!" I always trained on the woman who used to be around the entrance to Falador. SERIOUS QUESTION: Whatever happened to that woman?! Lawl. (She walked around that Falador shield shop and the main gate.)
February 2, 200917 yr Being ranged to death on the way from Lumbridge to Varrock by millions of people called Messiah #. Where # = a random number. Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. If we let players start doing this, it devalues RuneScape for others. We feel your status in real-life shouldn't affect your ability to be successful in RuneScape" Jagex 01/04/01 - 02/03/12
February 2, 200917 yr I remember the long and dangerous road to Varrock, a really long trip. It took even a longer time before I found Falador. And it took some time to learn the map and not wandering around fhoping to find this or that. :D
February 2, 200917 yr I started playing early early 06, maybe feb? I think I became a member first time in march or april 06. I haven't played in about 6 months. I just logged back in, everything is where it was when I left. I just started up again. :) I'm liking it so far. 6 months has changed some things I'm used to though for sure. Getting caught up is def. some work but I always like new challenges. :)
February 2, 200917 yr i saw my older bro playing this wierd, choppy thing with some humanesque things and im like hmm, what does run-escape mean? then i started playing it covertly, and once i landed in lumbridge i wandered into the forest behind the castle and promptly died to a mugger. i bought goblin armor and was angry i couldnt wear it, then i saw a hardleather body for sale in the general store, so i got that, and it said i needed a huge 10 def to wear it, so i worked for hours to get the level. those first few months were so fun exploring and getting lost and dying and being poor. its lost a lot of the unknown wonder, but i still like it. : 32,606th to 99 magic || 15,388th to 99 dungeoneering || 12,647th to 99 farming14,792nd to 99 range || 24,954th to 99 herblore
February 2, 200917 yr One of my first encounters with RuneScape was with banks. I found the bank in Draynor, and didn't know you could store items in a bank in one place and withdraw them from another branch  Exactly like me.
February 2, 200917 yr I made my account back in 2005. Back when cows looked really generic, and nothing walked, but rather slid. I did Rune Mysteries, and made my first trip to the essence mines. I asked "Is this White Wolf Mountain?" Then I found Falador for the first time, and wanted to stay there because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to find it later. When I was level 10 I stocked my inventory with lobs given to me by a friend, got my top of the line (iron) armor, and tried to make an "epic" vid of me soloing a varrock guard :wall: (though at that time all guards had the same model and were just called guards). The worst part was, the vid was canceled because I couldn't do it. I idolized a guy in full steel because he hit a 3. Now I'm ALOT better at this. You can see my RS stats by clicking the link to the hiscores, and I did some really tough quests. - Made 3M in a couple of days - Did Heroes Quest (though it wasn't that hard) - Did Dragon Slayer (again embarrasingly easy for their reputation) - Achieved Combat Level 85 - Did Grand Tree and Gnome Stronghold - Did Lost City - Just the other day completed Smoking Kills - Bought my Whip I'm just a bit better now lol. Though I still can't even get a SINGLE HIT on the Barrow's Brothers. Get back here so I can rub your butt.
