OT: 99 hunter. Went 1-84 in a couple weeks right after release took a few months off the skill and then went 84-99 in about a month.

I never really cared about getting 99's, until my friends said I should try getting one. I enjoyed hunting a bit, so I decided to go for it during the summer.

 

 

 

2 weeks later with 80 hunter. I was getting bored. Decided to start doing chins... it was barely 10k exp an hour for some reason. I gave up, got bored, and such.

 

 

 

Now, I still don't care for 99's. Just enjoyin' the game the way I want. Though, I don't really go online anymore... maybe 15 minutes a week.

I've got 3 that im going for

 

 

 

1. Fletching (Currently lvl 83)

 

2. Range (Currently lvl 80)

 

3. Agility (Currently lvl 65)

Fishing was the first probably.

 

 

 

I kept fishing monks for ages until 90 fishing, then I stopped playing Runescape for a while. I started back up and I'm now 97 fishing.

First.Hunting...got to 66, then failed becuase chins prices dived.

 

 

 

Second. wanted 99 cook, got to 70, then relaized i didnt have cash for 99.

 

 

 

Third. Wanted 99 Fletching..currently 93/99.

I wanted 99 Mining when I first started on F2P. Then I got to level 50 and realized how slow it was.

mining. i hope to accomplish by the end of '09. it has always appealed to me. and such a pretty cape

dont give up! mining is one of the most underappreciated skills, and the cape demands more respect than the likes of the prayer and slayer capes just due to the epic boringness of the skill. go for it! ill race ya? :

Defence. I got it fairly quickly, and was as proud as I expected I would be. Now going for 99 hunter then construction, to trim it.

my 1st 99 was 99 fletch, i got it in 2005 or early 2006. i made loads cause i manual used the bows with the bs, heaps of cash and xp per hour :)

My first 99 was fletching, I was already going for it before the skill capes were released. I was 98 when the capes came and finished it swiftly. But it didn't give me that big a sense of achievement, so I never bought the cape.

 

 

 

Then I set my sights on 99 slayer, got all melee and ranged 99 on my way to it. After slayer, I began touching up the skills, but I'll never take off my slayer cape, no matter how many 99's may still follow.

99 Woodcutting, I was thinking of 99 Agility at the time but I thought I'd try something easier first :thumbsup:

what was the first skill that you told yourself you are gonna get 99 in?did you get it?did you quit?are you still working at it?what made you want to get this 99 or 99's??just wanted to start a lengthy discussion.

 

 

 

First was defence on and off but never anything to serious didn't get 99 yet even though I wanted it. Fletching was the first I tried powertraining to 99.. needless to say I burned out at 96. Quit rs for 3 months, came back and got 99 defence.

 

 

 

Now I have 4 skills up to 98 (about 10k from 99) so I haven't burned out much at all :

 

 

 

I get 99's because I want to not because I want to "look cool" :P

Good ol' Woodcutting, took me like 4 months on and off with a mix of yews/willows.

 

 

 

Ahh i remember it like it was yesterday..

Runecrafting will be my first 99 if I have it the way I want. It's one of my favourite skills and it's quite rare to have 99 in it, so I have decided that I will try making it my first one. I will probably start going for it in a not to far away future.

That would be mining. And i'm still working at it. (It isn't worth getting 99 as F2P.)

Firemaking. I wanted a "Fire Cape". Got it within a week.

 

 

 

 

 

Also,(To. Topic starter), your sig shows how [developmentally delayed]ed you are. Your farming + Smithing show as 1 because you aren't ranked in those skills on the highscores.

Well it was a long time ago, and i had always liked the simplicity of woodcutting, so i chopped for awhile and im still chopping today. Yes i got 99 btw :

My frist 99 brought me to tip.it. I wanted to get 99 firemaking :lol: Made 2 really really good friends and became part of one of the best forums for runescape ;)

I don't try, because I know I will get bored. :thumbsup:

it was fletching to have a cape :oops: and i did not fail :lol:

Defence for me. I don't really know why I chose that, but I kind of like the colors and the emote alot : And it's a pretty usefull (<- fail at spelling that word) since it's hard to hit you most of the time. Currently 89/96/99 with 800k to 97, and am planning to get most of that at AZ's and Soul wars now... mostly Soul wars since I get 7.8k xp per point :thumbsup: I'm hoping for 99 rc to be my second or close to it 99 : That or smithing (yea right lol...)

tried to get 99 agility, started a tlike 56 (from regicide) got to 75 stopped. quit for like 6 months -.-

 

 

 

tried to get 99 hunter (diff acc) got from like 30-76, quit again :P

Fishing and Cooking simultaneously. Skillcapes came out, I was like, 'I like these skills, I should do it!'. Was maybe in the upper 60s, lower 70s.

 

 

 

Two or so years later, I'm at 89 and 90. Still haven't bought more fish than I sold... Take that cooking as a 'noob' cape cliche'! When I finally do get it through near 100% DIY, that is...

Firemaking, started at 40-50 and quit at 62 because i have no money left :wall:

 

 

 

Hunter: Started at 35 and quit at 67 \

 

 

 

Fletching: Started at 40 and quit at 70, then 70-80, 80-82, 82-85, 85-99 :lol: :lol:

 

 

 

Now I have maples for 99 FM :

i was gonna try getting 99 cooking. and i gave up after five minutes, because i realized cooking was boring.
