Nenga Posted May 18, 2009 Share Posted May 18, 2009 I hate you guys who start at 9:00. 7:25 - 2:20 is the official time school is in session. It could be worse though. When I still lived in Oklahoma it was like 6:30 to 3:30 I don't know about any plans to change my school schedule, only to get rid of seminar (a 40 minute period every Friday to go and make up tests and whatnot). We have a block schedule, there is also a zero block which starts at 7:15 and goes to 8:00, mostly for AP classes. I am taking one next year (AP Chemistry). Zero blocks are year round but my other 4 blocks of each day are a semester long. When I was taking marching band (only 1st semester), we got out at 5:30 everyday except Tuesday, which was 6:20. It was ridiculous to get home so late, so I quit it my sophomore year (my current year, almost over). Concert band 2nd semester went until around 5:00. It changes every 6 weeks, this period it's: Monday: 9:00-14:55 Tuesday: 8:00-14:55 Wednesdays: 8:00-14:55 Thursdays: 9:00-14:55 (Although this Thursday I'm off! :D ) Fridays: 8:00-14:55 It used to be more varying, but for the last 4 periods we've ended at 14:55 every day. One of the biggest problems at my school is attendance and the reason people miss so much school is because they have to wake up at around 5 in the morning. When you're loaded up with homework, projects, essays, etc. waking up at 5 just doesn't work out nicely.
