Saw video about that Call of sea aura too, like 70k/h fishing exp from rocktails. Pretty nice, was stupid of me to do slow skills first.

 

 

Message for everyone, don't get too excited over the Call of the sea one. I didn't see a noticeable difference at rocktails, and neither had anyone else there that i asked. HLF has a post mentioning no real difference at barb fishing either. Assuming the aura is bugged for now, but we'll see.

Servers back up, but watching the number of players drop was fun. :P Of course slower skills will get faster, that powercreep :(. Enjoying watching your slayer fly up. *back to lurking*

Call of the Sea seems nerf'd, at least for now. Tested at rocktails as soon as i got it and wasn't any noticeable difference, everyone else there who'd tried it was saying the same thing. Tested at barb after cooldown was up, timed 78-80k xph with aura active, timed 79k xph without it (urns and granite lobs, low alching for lazy invy clearing as i go). Thanks for the useless aura jagex. ;) HLF'd my findings in the hopes that they actually un-nerf, since right now it's as good as useless.

you already catch a fish every 3 seconds at barb, so theres no possible way that it could speed it up

 

howerver at rocktails where fish are like every 30 seconds, it might speed it up quite a bit

How do you already have auras? I only started with 500 points, and I thought they said that everyone was starting with a fresh slate...

All the auras apart from jack of all trades are on sale for 400 points, and I agree tugger I've been using call of the sea, timed my xp and it seems no different. It's probably like 2% increase or something tiny because jamflex didn't wanna make it OPed?

Ah, thanks. TBH none of them are really that spectacular looking. I'll probably pick up the Agility one, to help with Agility pyramid. Even jack of trades wouldn't be useful for any of the top players though if 10k xp per lamp is true.

You miss out on plenty of fish at barb.

I'm hoping that S U O M I is holding onto some effigies as opposed to using them as he gets them, which he normally does.

Otherwise 2.5m range exp w/o an effigy at crawlers is some horribly bad luck :o

10k is a fair bit though, for people that aren't maxed. Encouraging more people to train all their skills is a good thing in my eyes. :) Of course, effigies totally ruined that concept, but.... *sigh*

It would be worth it unless they are making over 600k experience an hour in that skill. Actually, it would be worth it unless if they can make over 600k exp an hour in EVERY skill (that isn't 200M exp already).

That Aura is only valuable until someone reaches 16 200m skills, then it becomes impossible for someone to use it. And just adding that Reverance is glitched when it comes to decreased prayer drain, it also appears to be 10% increase in the amount of prayer points recieved when drinking from a prayer potion.

That is only if you are willing to use them. I think it is easier to depend on having one grimy guam, a set of bones, an uncut sapphire, a nature rune and some random item, two logs, and something to attack for three rounds of combat.
