Maxingmck
I would rather not vote, but seeing as 1 will win, I will chose xp over double drops. I disagree with doing either of these weekends. Both ways RS doesn't benefit much even though we will see more players on during that weekend than we have for a while. Whether we have double exp or double loot I will take part any way, and I guess it's made me a fair bit of cash. If you can't beat em, join em. You have democratic power in this decision. It's an amazing gift that Jagex is giving to you. Don't waste it by voting for the lesser of two evils when the choice you want is right there. But is democratic power really power for the minority voters like ourselves. The average rs player will be like omgwtfbbqbxp, its already sure to win. Others have already speculated that this 'year of the player' is just going to be Jagex polling over things that are painfully obvious what the community will think, unless its some minor thing like a minigame location. One of the two choices will win, and that will be double exp. The thing you need to realise is that to be ignorant in this situation won't actually pay off. When Jagex gives you lemons, make lemonade.

I could spend an hour picking apart every logical flaw in your argument, but I think I'll leave it as an exercise for you to do on your own time. I hope you become a better person out of this.

DownToFletch
Voting for BXP: People (like me) who have invested in skilling items (dragon bones, frosts, etc) will make a KILLING if they flip. I think if double xp happens frosts will go up to 20k maybe. Dragon bones up to 10k for sure I'm feeling. Economy is gonna get pounded. Voting for drops: the economy is going to tank hard with the influx of items (godsword hilts and whatnot being important right now due to special attacks being brought back) and that could screw things up Both can and will mess things up badly. Supposedly the servers are being refitted to make sure what happened last double xp weekend doesn't happen again... they also banned a lot of bots so less people..... Me personally, double xp. I'll spend it doing cooking or something, I don't know. I'm 94 cooking, been meaning to finish off 99 for a while now.
Gertjood
I'd only agree with double XP if summoning is capped. And the economy is already fked either way, cause as soon as the post about a possible double XP weekend appeared, people started buying and selling items way over the market price. Raise your fist! I actually love the RS economy for that, the effect that speculation can have on prices is crazy. Water talismans have already gone up 50% in price if not more now. Bonus xp weekends never work on galtars, so you're gonna be pretty damn lucky to have bones go up like that lol. I had 13K frosts banked, I was meaning to get 99 but I got scared after the 138 formula poll threads they made, and after they made t hat second one I'm even more confident they'll revert it, thus I didn't feel like wasting my entire bank on something I'd want to get reset lol. I dumped them at 17.4k cause they went up a solid 1K from the other day lol, I wish I invested in more stuff like herb stuff tbh, but eh. :> Grats to Dseance http://www.youtube.com/user/PaxSerf

Why should they cap summoning? You can only save so many hours during the bxp weekend. You'll only gain 24-48hrs overall via the bxp weekend if it wins. By the time you max cb/slayer you should have the charms for 200m summoning (And the charming imp picks them all up for you). Pretty sure Alkan said he only used crim/blues for his sum xp and he still has ~70m mage xp left. Really training sum isn't going to save the most time, if you're going for 200m all. Because I have to agree with the reason why they capped summoning in the first few weekends. You spend months gathering all the charms and only a few days making pouches. So instead of just saving a few hours overall, you save months of work. Raise your fist!

I don't think you understood what I meant. 200m slayer + 200m other cb stats nets you 200m sum. Training Slayer/cb is the "months of work" not training summoning, as charms come with slayer/cb without doing anything. This however, is only the case if your goal is 200m all, which I assume is your goal.

If you look at all the skills at the same time, then I agree that it's not a big difference since you will be able to bank 200m summoning either way. If you look at summoning alone however, it doesn't make any sense that someone can finish the WHOLE skill twice as fast as someone else. Raise your fist! Geel
They should make it so you get double charms in bxp and on top of that make pouches require 2 charms instead of 1 and double the xp per pouch. That would make it fair then.

Kr148
Honestly, if shits going to be double the cost id rather just train some other skill. The only skills that are more efficient to train than others are the skills that use the most gp/hr, but its not even really as worth it as people think just because shit is expensive af. Idk what im going to train on bonus xp weekend, but i dont think its worth being broke to train a buyable http://www.youtube.com/user/PajamaGaming^click for RS vids
