Paperbag, why don't you hire a keyer? Find someone from the same timezone that's online a lot and have him to always synch your floors and DG when you want. Shouldn't be that hard to find 3 fillers. I think this is what XPX is doing right now with Cheesy.

About the cave crawlers, as discussed several pages back, it's really not human to camp those for years. I know I certainly couldn't. I'd rather do it the slower way and skill the way I'm supposed to. Also I really cbf to spend 20b or w/e it is to camp those for 4 effigy 200ms. As Arib said, flipping requires constant camping of the G.E now and it is much worse than it used to be.

exactly i meant if unblock everything to get the 300 fast to find the frequency id skip everything and see the correct frequency besides icestryke i dont know how many task it accually would be lol or if ill do it yet tho :P

Yes Viv. Cancelling will do fine. All you need is to have all of the tasks unblocked so that you have the chance to be assigned them. Keep a list of all of the tasks that kuradel assigns and just put a hash mark next to the NPC each time you get assigned it. There is no need to actually do the task. You could also do any task you want, but simply going through and cancelling every task will work perfectly and be the quickest method. Thanks for doing this if you go through with it.

Paper, while it would be optimal to camp for slayer, rc, agil, and maybe fishing, but there is no need to actually do all of them there. Doing the optimal method for everything is certainly quixotic and in human. But if you were to just do slayer there it would take you around 3800 hours and would result in: 42.75m to all of the investigating skills, 304m melee xp, and 200m summoning. (Though I would recommend waiting on summoning until after you finish melee because then you wont have to use any gold and relatively little greens.) at 5.4k cballs per hour and 285 per ball it would cost you around 6b.

 

If you did 200m slayer will effigies used on slayer it would take 2777 hours and would result in 14m to all of the investigating skills, 250m melee xp, and 200m summoning.

I do still want rank 1 very badly but just realize at this point it is most likely not going to happen. And I accept it. So instead my goal now is to get 200m xp in all skills. Sure I would still love to be rank 1 overall if I can get the chance to somehow, and get myself to do dungeoneering.

Lol, I'm not rich anymore. Plus my bank is a total mess I dont keep it organized at all :P I have no reason to flip anymore unless I wanted to collect rares or something which I don't have the time for and would rather be getting xp.

I've read every page of this thread and just the last few pages alone are enough to make me want to finally post. First off, my hats off to all of you top contenders. There's no way I could ever find that dedication to pull off those xp gains that you guys do. I've actually tried to keep up before, and only made it 18 hrs of nonstop game play before I crashed. To play as many hours a day as you guys do is insane and amazes me (in a good way, no flaming here). Gaming the way that you guys do doesn't earn the respect it deserves from a lot of people. In my opinion the effort you guys put into doing this is no different than the effort professional athletes put into perfecting their own practice. The only difference is you have trained yourself to be able to do something else, it's as simple as that. As mentioned before by many posters, just ignore the haters, because you have a huge community of people cheering for all of you at any given time. The size and success of this thread amazes me, and just reading it several times each day is a requirement in my daily life. I find it so interesting to hear what top players and contenders of 200M all skills have to say.

 

I started playing in 2004 back when Zezima was the Big Shot, but tbh, I like the fact that there are so many more contenders now. Instead of hoping to hear Zezima type something (that undoubtedly has nothing to do with his training methods), we finally are able to hear input from several different top players. Thank you for giving so much detail as to what your plans are and how you go about playing rs; it really gives us an opportunity to kind of put ourselves in your shoes (like I said... I tried, and I can't haha).

 

@Paperbag, thank you for the awesome post a few pages back. That has got to be one of the most down-to-earth posts I've read on this thread so far. The fact that you confess your confidence in the idea of getting 200M and possibly rank 1 overall earns the respect from a lot of players. In my opinion, too many people are too worried to discuss something they may want to in fear of being flamed about their playtime/play style by a bunch of hypocritical idiots... on a fan site nonetheless. So once again thank you!

 

@Drumgun, glad to see you visiting this thread as much as I do on a daily basis it seems. The sight of your 200M all lined up in the high scores boggles me, and I can't wait till their prayer, wc, and fletch friends join! The fact that you were the first person to achieve 200M summoning, soul wars, and abby demon camping amazes me. Records were made to be broken, but seeing as Chilly was one of the best contenders and still failed just goes to show that you did a hell of a job on your records and I wish you the best of luck on your goal of reaching respect and fame irl. Look forward to more massive gains!

 

@Skiller (Forgot your most recent name sorry lol), I think a lot of people can learn a little bit from your playing style. The fact that you still remain in the lead on xp but seem so chill about your play style is quite impressive. I respect the fact that you would rather spend time "playing" the game doing what you enjoy or actually want to do rather than grind something you may not want to do at the time. Also, +1 on the idiocracy on behalf of Mod MMG. The shift from a friendly, engaged, veteran community to the current way of implementing updates into RuneScape has really taken a turn for the worst. Attempts to force-feed the wild and free trade just for more money is slowly rotting the game, so it's good that you, along with the other top players, are able to still find enjoyment. Good luck on your future goals!

 

@S U O M I, you are a machine my friend. I have no idea how you manage to pull the discipline to knock some of the hardest 200Ms out of the game already while many other top contenders continue to push that dish to the side. Now that Zarfot has quit, all my bets are on you for the first person to 200Ms. You've got most of the hard part out of the way. Please don't let a lack of funds turn you away from trying to continue towards 200M all skills (and hopefully rank 1 :D). + the fact that you manage to play with your private chat on AND respond (highly doubt you remember me pm'ing you) amazes me too. I'm very excited to see how fast you can pump out xp once you can afford to start your buyables. Good luck on rank 1 and 200M all skills!

 

@Langer, and everyone else sacrificing their playtime (atleast non-afk playtime :P) to contribute to discovering the most efficient way of training skills, a huge thank you to you all too. Thank you Langer for the Top 15 update, it's saved this thread several times, and is very interesting to read. I discovered some of the most efficient ways to play this game from this thread alone, which has got me thinking more about at least 99 in all skills myself.

 

All-in-all, I want to thank all of you who are putting work into making this thread a success, and congratulate the top players who are all racing for 200M all skills. A big thank you to those of you who have posted on this thread, all I gotta say is, please keep trying to recruit more top players here. This discussion value of this thread has picked up dramatically over the last few pages and I'm sure I speak on behalf of everyone when I say that I want it to stay this way.

 

I'm glad that I joined TIF. This site has taught me most of what I know about RuneScape, and the community here seems like a great group of people. I look forward to continuing to read and help out on this thread when I can.

im interested in this myself and my current blocklist is task that i could do or cancel (firegiants greaters, waterfiend, mages, torts)

Yes it does not matter if you skip or do the tasks. Can you also record the number assigned as that is also important in how good a task is (e.g. mith drags could have a good xp rate but only 9 assigned in a task makes them not such a great task). I'm not sure but I heard neither slayer level nor combat level effects the number assigned so maybe we could get the average of the max and min number assigned? Probably better to record them anyway.

Warped tortoises

Terror dogs

desert strike are like 200-240 kills an hr but idk i suck at slayer lol

um not doing jungles those fail

tortoise r boring too

terror dogs are a task i do because of low number assigned so prob could test the exp rate =p

 

edit : nnot recording number assigned atm but max/min to give a pretty good read on number assigned/length of task :P
