EDIT

Ok thanks to immature kids deleting codes it can't be used anymore. I expected this would happen so I have a copy of it.

Does anyone know a way to only allow editing of certain cells on google docs?

Here's another copy which you can read but not edit

Quick question at 99 power-slaying all the time does it end up breaking even/profit or is slayer actual loss?

Pre-Free Trade being re-instated, I believe it was break-even. Now, I honestly don't know with all of the recent price fluctuations.

Top slayers are tearing through the skill with cannonballs, familiar scrolls, overloads and spec restore and turmoil (prayer potions).

Tezz has reached 2B xp and is probably 1-2M xp of actual slayer training before maxing out with effigies.

Hummmmmmmmm lol

If Tezz is #1 combat and combat related skills, does that mean that I'm the #1 combat and skills that could've been a possible combat skill (hunt)? Sorry lol, made me laugh to see such a long title attached to his weekly update, only to 'glorify' the slayer skill :P

On that note, merci for the update <3:

I think your still #1 combat because all you need is 200m Prayer however

Greatest PVM Title I would have to give to Tezz because he has 100M DG left and 10M Slayer left.

Everyone should glorify the Nr.1-in-the-hardest-skill, Mr. Self-Aggrandizement. :)

suomi ftw :D

Haha, thanks :P

I really appreciate the calculations myself but still not sure which tasks I should do if I wanted the fastest slayer exp/most effigies.

I am still trying to work out the perfect Slayer list, I know Skiller dropped a hint in this thread, that using Kuradel is not the fastest Slayer XP, however I'm not sure if that was including Effigy gains or not. I could explore the Duradel option but am unsure whether or not Scarabites/Warped Terrorbirds actually drop Effigies, however they are such unpopular creatures there is only limited information on Wiki.

It would be nice if Tezz were to post his task list after he is finished with 200m, since I don't have a big enough Slayer XP sample size. I do perhaps plan on getting an additional 10m Slayer XP once I'm happy with a list and logging it all to test it out - this will at least allow me to max out via Effigies.

In the context of 200m ALL skills though, I will obviously have to include Summoning & it's XP ratio - Since it's accepted generally that there is what, 100m of combat xp leftover from Slayer - in SUOMIs case he has barb fished to 200m and DG'd already, so he would perhaps only have a bit of Melee left to train - so getting a ratio of Sum xp : Slay xp closer - is perhaps preferable over absolute max speed/effigies. Also in the context of all 200m's Overloads would not be considered a cost, nor would using a rapier perhaps if 200m DG was acquired and not all tokens spent. This would make only Sum scrolls, Cballs & ppots underlying costs & it's around 1-1.5k Cballs averaged per hour (from my limited sample size & around 10 ppots).

overloads/extremes doesnt make that much dif slaying if repotting at 120

turmoil and cannonballs are definately worth it tho i mean we could argue that cannonballs arent a cost cuz of the range exp u get if u say overloads arent a cost. =p

"Perfect" task list is highly debatable, depends what do you mostly want to focus on. Effigies, charms, pure slayer xp or something intermediate?

Zarfot's task list was supposed to be constructed with maximum effigies on mind and he skipped tasks that weren't particularly good effigies per unit of time. If you were to go for absolute maximum slayer xp/h then Sumona might be worth exploring, several tasks in her dungeon (crawlers, banshees, basilisks) are very fast, between 60-90k/h. However, she doesn't assign dark beasts or ice wyrms which would no doubt kill your effigy ratio.

I don't specifically go for any of the above, as I don't purposely skip low-effigy tasks if I want to do them for other reasons (fire giants for afk task in CT, terrorbirds from shilo because they're a nice fast cannon task albeit non-effigy droppers)

I don't do fiends or wyverns which are good for summoning either because I just can't be bothered with them, although I'm thinking I will start doing fiends if the charm attractor is coming out any time before I am done with slayer. The reason I use Lapalok is because the only benefit I can personally see from Kuradal is slightly faster abyssals (as I wouldn't do anything else in her dungeon, cannon what's cannonable elsewhere) which does not outweigh four or five Kuradal unique tasks that would go on my skip list.

And something else to think about, each skipped task costs around 80k gp in runes that you could have bought with the points instead, if you want to look at it that way. I don't skip many tasks myself so I actually make a quite nice profit from slayer points.

I personally would be interested in seeing a task list that gives the maximum possible Slayer xp/hr if effigies are used on Slayer. Would such a list be identical to a max effigy task list or some intermediate between pure Slayer xp and max effigies that the Allarwut mentioned? Elias uses his effigies on Slayer and he told me that including effigy xp he gets near 60k Slayer xp/hr but no more than that. Is it possible to customize such a list or is 60k the max?

I hope Telmo is gonna finish off Prayer after 200M Str :D

Telmo has other plans after 200m str. Think hes waiting for bones to drop again also. I wouldn't be surprised if Telmo took Rank 1 overall soon on the highscores and be behind Allar.

Concerning rank 1, I think you'd be surprised about how many top players actually care about taking it. I believe Telmo, Elvis, and Jdel are far more interested in making noobs THINK they're competing heavily for #1 just for the "lulz" than they are in actually being #1. With that said, whoever takes #1 will probably end up having it as an extra side result of just their normal day-to-day training, rather than it being a specific goal.

Agreed, Jd seems to want to keep his distance from Drumgun for the time being though.

I guess I'm one of the few that really cares and wants rank 1 lol. Ever since I started this game that was my dream goal. I always adored Zezima and how much fame he got. I wanted exactly that. And after I got all 99s (before dung) I thought it might actually be possible since I was just learning how to flip just after I maxed. I caught on with it very quickly.

So as I went for 200m cooking with sharks I started making billions so I figured I had a great chance at rank 1 since I could do the super expensive buyables. I slowly made my way to the top page with the cheap buyable 200m xp skills. I think I may have been the most dedicated and one of the all time fastest flippers of all time tbh. I was easily making 40-60m a day when doing 200m firemaking and fletching. I easily had enough money to get 200m prayer and herblore etc. Rank 1 was looking very likely! And I knew Gertjaars wasn't rich enough to get the super expensive skills. So I was almost sure I would get it.

But then... dungeoneering decides to come out, which pretty much ruined this goal. Dungeoneering makes me want to punch the wall and cry irl. And it also ruined my motivation alot too for other 200ms. I slowed down a bit, but kept going anyway. I'm almost positive I would have achieved rank 1 if dungeoneering didn't come out when it did. I also didnt expect other top ranks to keep going at the pace they were, Allar and Drumgun for example, since I figured they didn't have the money for 200m prayer and herblore. And I knew that Allar wouldn't go for 200m range like I am right now since he enjoys slayer more. I enjoy training fast skills for the most part.

It's not that I want to be hidden underneath the top overall page. In fact, I want it more than anyone. It's just that I just cant train dungeoneering. I hate it so freaking much. And I have no idea how I am going to get 120. Effigies maybe? Lol. Or if I can figure out a way to not die 5 times a dungeon.

I do still want rank 1 very badly but just realize at this point it is most likely not going to happen. And I accept it. So instead my goal now is to get 200m xp in all skills. Sure I would still love to be rank 1 overall if I can get the chance to somehow, and get myself to do dungeoneering without wanting to cry about it.

I don't even really play this game for fun. I play mainly for ranks and gaining xp. Which can be fun at times still which is good. It does definitely get tireing after awhile training the same skill for weeks and I do burn out, but I force myself to keep going. It's still definitely alot better than playing something like WoW or something intensely combat related, which I strongly dislike.

My main aim from the beginning was to find something where I could try to be the best at it. I've come close, but not quite enough. But I've come so far so I will not give up now, and I never will. I will one day get all 200ms, I may not be the first, but I will do it. I never have any plans to quit unless I'm dead first. So let's hope that doesn't happen! I may slow down at times and take breaks but I would announce it if it were to be a massive break. But I never take massive breaks anyway :P

I definitely expect Suomi to beat me, and I dont mind too much. He's a great person too as I am great friends with him in game. I wish people would lay off the trolling to him with the donations and other crap. He really is a nice person and cares about people. I am quite like him I would say except I have less motivation than him and can't pull off the hours he does and I can't concentrate perfectly on skills like him for that long without feeling like I want to kill myself. But we do both love skilling with a passion. So I love ya mate. <3 Hopefully I can be 2nd to all 200m skills. But we'll see what happens.

Also I love to show off my hiscores and cash to people. I'm just a person who loves fans. The haters I don't like obviously but I try to change their viewpoint about why I do what I do. It makes me feel good about myself that I accomplished something so immense and had the attention to do the grinding required for 200m skills. It's fun getting spammed with trades at the G.E with people wanting to see my massive bank. It's very fun to know that they are in shock at how in the world I got my hands on all that money and wish they could have it. Lol, fun times. Not rich anymore though since there is no need to be, since I am basically done with buyables, after I finish 200m farming by the end of this year.

Anyway, not sure why I wrote all this, but with the mention about how people feel about rank 1, I felt I needed to let this out, and how my view of this game is and how I like to play it. You can post your comments about my views positively or negatively. I'm all up for how people feel about this. Enjoy the long read.

Amen for the best runescape player ever, as for dung you can manage 120 you're Paperbag I mean c'mon ;) suomi is cool to he's like my 2nd fav player nice to know you both are friends :S and, remember your quote (my favorite) "haters gonna hate when you're rich and brown" anyways, I wanted to let you know you are the best player ever in rs imo and I know you'll make it to all 200Ms. :)

@Paperbag

Yeah I feel your frustration for dungeoneering, it's only good when you're with friends who know how to do 20 minute dungeons. I guess we can just hope for a good solo DG update or something... Question: why do you think that you can get 200m all faster than Drumgun? No offense but he seems to be more efficient at the slower skills than you so I don't really see you as a favorite in getting all 200m before him or Telmom. You're pretty good but I'd like to see how you tackle the slow skills first ;)

Rofl @ the vid. Seriously Paperbag, I hope you meant it figurativly and not litteraly :P. Just kidding man ;).

Nice post indeed, very inspiring. I hope you'll get along with dungeoneering though. I hated it at first but as it turns out and once you get the hang of it, it's actually a fun skill to do. Atleast that's what happened to me. It's a very interactive skill. With that I mean you don't have to stand around in 1 spot and click on trees or fishing spots, you actually get to walk around, kill stuff and do other various skills withing dungeoneering.

You'll have to deal with noobs and ragers which is the down side of the skill though.
