joey11223
Thought I'd ask fellow slayers whether or not they pot on all their tasks? Also which kinds? What I mean is I use a full super set on most tasks from Duradel, so sup att,str and def then a ranging pot for when i range tasks. Anyone else do the same? Or only use att n str sups? I find it speeds up the task a lot and I do think a super def makes a difference.

Zaaps1
I pot super attack (zammy brew if I feel like it), super strength, and saradomin brew. Contrary to popular belief, do you not need restores to successfully operate saradomin brews. I only need 1 dose of regular restore per task. I pot up after 5 minutes. So after drinking a super set, I am at 118 attack and strength. 5 minutes later, I have 113 attack and strength. Then if I drink a saradomin brew, I get a huge defense boost (20%, giving me more than super defense and excalibur) an hp boost, even if I'm at full hp, and it knocks my attack and strength down to 99. Then I can simply sip a pure set to boost back up to 118 attack/strength, negating any negative effects the brews had. It's not always necessary to use brews on tasks, which is why I sometimes will forgo it and use just the pure set. But for tasks that a little extra bit of defense is needed, it's extremely useful, not to mention the healing. In addition, I can operate zamorak brews instead of saradomin brews with little negative effects. ~It's Super Effective! Xenolith
Dragon Battleaxe, plus restores and super attacks are the way to go. Use the special, take a sip of restore (just the regular type, it's like ~300 or so for 3 doses), and then a drink of super attack. Works just like a super attack/super strength, but without the cost of the strength potions. Granted, you sacrifice one inventory space, but I think it's worth it. I can't even tell you how much money I've saved.
onedaysoon
I take 1-2 Pure sets (4) depending on the task. Don't bother with super def, or ranging pots.

All_Is_Great
Well, recently i farmed about 400 irits and 500 kwuarms for herblore, and I always use pure sets since i have so many of them. I only use super def pots on tasks that hit hard and are high leveled.
AnthonyWL
**EDIT2** Long story short. No i don't pot for melee stats, only carry Prayer Potions for dire emergencies. MELEE SET 10 Monks encase Guthans doesn't heal fast enough. 1 of each Charm to stack Summoning Gem \ Teleportation runes just encase. 2 Prayer Potions (4) encase i run out of food, Guthans busts and im low on prayer. Last ditch effort to am-scrae 2 Spots for important stuff. It usually expands if i eat some food. Its not great but it does the job. Feel free to criticise. Its cheap (roughly) and does the job quite well. ALSO, i don't buy Prayer Potions, i make them off ranarr weeds i get from tasks; whether Abberant Specters or Basilisks. **EDIT** *Points at Summoning Level* Don't lecture me on Beast of Burden or Healer Familliars. lagatag
I only use super attack/str on annoying tasks like dragons (if I melee them), or mage based creatures, since I tend to get hit a lot by magic based attacks, so I use the pots to speed up the task to waste less food
Zaaps1
1) You should not bring the runes, just have 1 house tele tab. All those runes are a serious waste of space. 2) Guthans plate and skirt are about the same as their torags/dharoks/veracs counterparts, so equip those instead of having them in your invent. Saves invent space. 3) You don't need a gem to keep track you kills. Mark your kills by xp and you save another invent space. 4) If you are praying on emergencies, your base prayer should be enough. Instead, if you used 2-3 prayer pots per task, you could finish your tasks a lot quicker by praying Superhuman Strength. If you choose not to do this, forget the ppots entirely and you get 1 more slots. 5) I wouldn't bring the placeholder charms. Preference, but doesn't really make a difference. ~It's Super Effective! Bassy
I only use potions for Mithril Dragons, all other tasks are handled easily without them. Usually I only use potions for GodWars, but Mithril Dragons require them due to their defence. Cptbaker08
I bring a super attack and str on all tasks. Sometimes i bring 2 of each if they are big tasks. And then use the EE for the spec and def boost. You can bring them or not. But bringing them makes task go faster thus netting you more exp/hr and faster tasks. Mike_Ike111
Super Set on ANYTHING you kill. I don't care what it is. You could be killing chickens for all I care. Not only will you be getting better xp, but chances are you will have to eat less (especially with an EE). Don't even mess with a DBaxe or any of that crap. It's such a hassle, and a waste of a special. Also always bring an EE, no matter what. If your trip lasts you an hour, that's like bringing an extra 12 sharks.
