While I hate to be negative... good luck finding an open spot to mine. At the moment it's near impossible to train mining with the number of bots. Add real players into the mix trying to get the most of the 20% and you're looking at madness.

Mining in the Guild on foreign worlds used to be tolerable, at the least...but the last time I did that was 2010. Has the situation changed since then?

No. Foreign worlds are definitely the best place to mine. The Mining Guild is practically empty every time I go there.

There is only one mining place to consider - Hobgoblin mine iron rocks. All other pretty much pale in comparison. Or is there any other place where 55k (short term) per hour is possible?

Hobgoblin Mine is definitely the best xp/hr for iron. But if you want to keep it for sale or later use, then the Dwarven Mine near the resource dungeon deposit box is the way to go. With urns I could get 40k/hr there if I really focused, and maintain 35k/hr easily. Even without urns, I don't think it's possible to drop below 30k/hr there.

Another possible place to mine coal, although a bit further, is the skeleton mine SE of edgeville. It's under level 20 wilderness so you can home port to Edgeville and run back tot he spot.

And a shout out again, this time for Skilz Pwnd U for becoming the 7th Pure F2per to max today, albeit accidentally :P (Was in the friends chat when it happened, and lol). Still, congratulations Skilz :)

So I bought 26,3K big bones for bonus xp weekend. What are you doing?

I'll be crafting a bit.

Cutting and burning some willows, I sorta want to GoP seeing as water talis are about 15k per... but mehums.

I saved 20 big bones I got from the sof a couple of days ago. :P Overall, my plans aren't really changing. I'll be in Varrock West bank superheating Rune bars.

My plans won't be changing at all: going to keep fishing like I have been for the past couple of months (if I'll even have time to log in at all this weekend...dumb paper for school).

As good an excuse as any for me to train some prayer. Other then doing that on the side, pretty much going to stick to what I normally do between levels, work on cooking :)

No changes in my plans either, just regular rhythm of Dungeoneering and Cooking when I don't want to Dungeoneer. Even managed to drag my dear old friend Kaizu for one run and he leveled Dg for the first time in almost a year :)

I don't want bonus xp on my (main) account so I've been training on my noob-account instead.

Haven't even logged in this BXPW, and I don't plan to. 20% extra xp isn't really worth the hassle this weekend.

It saved me about 1200 big bones on my trek from 52 to 60. :grin:

Did the math earlier as to how much "bonus exp" I actually managed to accumulate, and thought I would share.

 

Experience gained: 48,604 (range), 40,580 (firemaking), 2,494,258 (cooking), 670,770 (prayer), 45,000 (smithing).

 

Total experience gained: 3,299,213

(subtract 237,500 due to my use of urns while cooking [250 x 950])

 

Total Bonus Experience Gained During BXPW: 612,342

 

How did everyone else do?

I played almost 5 hours, it was almost not worth it to play.
