Okay, I was looking up my name on Google, and I found out that I share my name with some semi-famous/famous people. In this fun little research project, I figured that it would be interesting for all of us to look our names up and see who we share them with. Who knows? Perhaps you can learn something new.

 

Apparently, I'm a British artist and an American wrestler.

 

One rule, though: Don't tell us your name!

Other than some muscular Brazilian dude on Facebook, I don't have any famous people with my name. :mrgreen:

 

However, with my last name, I've found a comic book writer, composer (18671948), and a opera singer.

I search my name on google and nothing really came up, I also didn't include people with different middle names too, when I searched "Tom" instead of "Thomas" minus middle name I was actually the first two links so I'm clearly the most popular Tom ..... around.

I can't seem to find anything other than random facebooks.

Haha if she had noticed, maybe she would have. I was in the computer lab with some friends during recess and I closed the browser on my own pretty quickly upon seeing the results :lol: My poor virgin eyes... scarred for life!

I'm an illustrator and a pro basketballer. I'm also a hell of a lot more than that, having Smith as my last name.

well, the first google result for my name is from my college's honour roll list, which I got into, so I guess I'm a student -.-

Apparently, I'm hitched, and an actor. First things that came up for me. I also found a link to an article about my graduating class on the first page a little bit down the list, so I guess there isn't many people with my full name. Heh.

 

Just for grins, I removed my middle name from the search. According to Wikipedia, I'm a politician from various states and time periods, a basketball star of various "races", an architect, New Zealand Parliament member, soldier, Medal of Honor recipient (in the Civil War), founder and first owner of the National Cash Register Company, Anglo-Irish soldier who wrote The Man-Eaters of Tsavo which was made into the film The Ghost and the Darkness, and an American TV/movie director. That's a LOT of stuff for one dude, ain't it? ^_^;;

A photographer, an illustrator and a track and field athlete.

 

Feh. None really fit.

My first name is common spanish, so is my second which usually companies my first, and my last is also common.

I'm the Mexican John Smith.

No one on wikipedia shares my name, but there are lots of dentists and doctors with my name.

Awww I got nothing, except my own facebook and some other random facebook pages. My father's name is shared by the IRA terrorist, Mike McKevitt. Which is interesting because my Grandfather on my father's side was from Ireland, so we may be distantly related? Hmmm

So i'm a trance artist and inventor.

First 2 results were a uni professor and an artist.

Bridge Club Chairman.

An English teacher in Japan.

I am unique, I think I am the first 10 options on google, + the next, like, 3 are contest winners from some crap I don't know about (they share a first name or a last name in common with me).

 

Oh, and I appear in the Yahoo! search engine suggestions :mrgreen:

And then a but more medical entries turn up, so I don't know if I'm repeating the biometric guy above or not.

Well I found a couple of things:

 

* A boxer who was a 3 times Golden Gloves winner and then the Super Bantamweight world champion in 1989 who was knocked out by Erik Morales (who I am a fan of) in 1995.

*An actor who has starred in Jericho, Flashpoint, CSI Miami, Grey's Anatomy, Ghost Whisperer and The Unit.

* A member of New York City Council

* A Professor of Political Science

 

Coincidentally, I have an interest in all 3 areas to a degree.
