The Truth

Ever report those obvious green drag/sorc garden bots, just to see them not get banned?

My theory is that some of the executives from Jagex are running these so called Gold-Farming websites.

It's truly astonishing how there so many bots at Green Drags/Sorc Garden, and Jagex hasn't done much about it.

Most people believe that a bot is some kid downloading a botting program and has it running overnight/during school, but it's actually the software of the goldfarming website using these accounts to train cb/get coins.

If you try to buy 1m coins from a website they'll need to temporary borrow your account, I think they play it safe and use about 2-4hrs/mil.; should be possible from grabbing herbs/killing green drags.

Reporting:

Who Gets Banned?

Often those that do dl botting software will get banned, because Jagex will only lose about 6$/month or 0 if the acc is a F2P bot.

However if you buy services from a goldfarming website you will most likely not get banned because Jagex is getting their 6$/month + continuous gold farming purchases.

Excpetions, everynow and then Jagex will ban one of their goldfarming customers because they need to send a positive message to the players that are against botting.

I mean if you get banned for goldfarming, you ofc wouldn't use that goldfarming site again, but you also can't complain to Jagex because you were playing against the RS rules.

RWT and WILDY UPDATE:

Some would say why would Jagex remove wildy if the above was true.

Simply, eleminate all the third-party botting competition, leaving more people to use Jagex gold farming websites.

Those that know the best about how RS operates, are those who helped create RS, and they'll have an easier time coding bots to run on their own game.

However Jagex has released their botting software so that other people will try to bot w/o paying, giving Jagex a group of people they can ban, which gives a positive message to people who area against botting.

Conclusion --

Well Played Jagex

Botting is stupid, and if tou are going to bot why play RS in the first place, all it proves is that your irl isn't going to well, and your seeking fast e-appreciation. Good Game botters l2rl.

Jagex and no Jagex staff break the rules or own gold-farming websites, I think 4 people were sacked last year (or the year before) for "spying" on accounts (eg; looking into banks and such).

Jagex can't remove botting, because RuneScape is made from java, you can always decompile it and make changes, therefore the only way to make botting not possible is by re-coding RuneScape in another language, which will not happen.

Why wouldn't jagex just create some money and put it on different accounts for cash... One of the worst conspiracy theories ever...

You are wrong, those are not gold farmers, they are players. Although a lot of those players later sell those accounts for good $ to the sites that used to goldfarm before rwt updates...well they still do goldfarm, just not nearly as much as before

@ OP:

Extraordinary claims demand extraordinary proof.

Where is your proof?

Anyone else thought of Assassin's Creed here?, his username is Assassin and the topic name is The Truth (Anyone remembers from AC II?) Anyways, it's always a possibility that they might have gold-selling sites, there's no proof that they do, but there isn't that they don't own any either. Although it seems illogical because they make good money from people's membership

I stopped reading after "my theory".

Theory =/= truth

Actually, theory = truth (eg: "sun rises in the east" is a theory)

This is, in fact, a hypothesis.

OP even [bleep]ed up on scientifically specified jargon.

Wrong. This is a theory, a hypothesis is a prediction.

Oh the irony.

As interesting as your claims are, you have no proof to back them up. It's extremely unlikely that Jagex would really do anything of the sort and to claim that they do requires substantive proof. I'm going to lock this thread as we don't like people trying to present wild theories as truth and this thread is getting a thoroughly negative and spammy reaction.
