I press left Ctrl and the keying program doesn't work.

I need a bit more information then this.

 

For example:

• What client are you using? It should work in all browsers, the Jagex client, and SwiftKit.
  
• What version of windows are you running? It requires at least Windows 98, since versions before that do not have GDI+.
  
• Do you see the key icon in the bottom right in your tray menu?
  
• Can Keying[dot]exe be seen in your task manager processes? If so, what's it's memory usage (Should be 3-6MB if it's running properly)?

 

Any other information that you could provide may help.

 

Also, apparently some users running Windows 7 are still having transparency issues with the following keys: green wedge, orange corner and crescent, silver rectangle and yellow crescent. The backgrounds are turning up black. I'm going to unpack Resource.dll, edit those keys files, re-save them and re-pack the Resource.dll.

I use Firefox and there is a key in my tray. I use windows 7.

It's likely that someone will just ask you what your binds, dg level, and ring tiers are when you try to join a floor.

I feel like I could be a decently good wingwoman, seeing as I usually do most of that stuff which you describe for wingmens. But Emsee-noob being the noob that he is still refuses to tell me how to become a proper wingwoman. Sooooo, advice please on how to become a good wingwoman? :D

You have quite the high total. You should focus on doing skilling doors and skill room paths instead of gds.

Was going to do it in C++, or even Java, but TBH AHK and GDI+ was the far easiest and required far less work. If I have to make all the changes in the "To-Do", then I'll be using just C++.

Anyway, as a wingwoman you'd be doing a few things:

 

- Procuring ragers, making potions, and/or making an altar. Obviously this is a lot to do for one person (especially with your total; you'll be running doors), so it'd also be your job to assign these tasks to your teammates when possible. You essentially direct the team while the keyer keys.

- You'd also be making corrections, whether it be with skill/puzzle rooms (lots of them have little tricks), room-clearing, or boss strategy, etc. The keyer can't really watch the team and make corrections, so you're there to fill that void. This means you need to have pretty broad knowledge of dungeoneering metagame.

 

That's the gist of it. Someone else can add more. I'm tired.

Well... That's pretty much what I do every dungeon. I know I can improve a bit with directing the team, so that's something I'll work on, but otherwise I do most of these things (Except making ragers, so far someone has always done it instead of me or keyer decided against it :P). And as I have relatively high total, I usually do most of the puzzles, so that's covered too.

 

And during downtime, I'm pretty much most of the time working on my own little paths, if they don't have GD's that is.

 

Also, not sure if it's "allowed", but I often break my gates to gate more annoying places if no one has free gates. Then later on after I have a free gate again, I run back to my previous gate. So far it was worked in the team's favour, hasn't slowed it down or whatever.

 

But feel free to tell me if I'm doing something wrong.

The keyer shouldn't be giving you a small gate

If they tell you to gate somewhere, you should be checking your map to see if its a large path and if it isn't ask someone else to gate it instead

Of course, back up their gate until you have something else

I have 2 people gate the same area fairly often (when 1 door is a large path, obviously do not do for de's)
