Why Googledocs? Why not Excel?

you can't share excel online.

The point is that ppl can type into the google docs, and that information is instantly transferred to me.

I don't need to memorize where all my gates are

if ppl write it down for me

bunyp any idea when your other program comes out?

it's done

there's not much the share.

The spreadsheet's right there.

the map program is hardcoded to my computer's resolution,

so u might as well learn to code your own program, cuz ud have to tweak mine to get it to work anyways.

The code is below, it's pretty brute force

Printscreen the map, and click on the paint window until you have picture of the map you just screen shotted.

mousegetpos x, y
setkeydelay, 1, 1
mouseclick ,,1342,314
sleep 1000
sendinput {PrintScreen}
click 128,128
click 31,367
click 31,367
send {WheelUp}{WheelUp}{WheelUp}{WheelUp}
send ^a
send {del}
send ^v
click 260,367
click 260,367
send {WheelDown}{WheelDown}{WheelDown}
mousemove, x,y

other than that I have some code to make windows transparent and always on top.

u can just google to figure out how to do that.

other then the flowers obviously....has anything been noticed that I need to work on?

you have a surgebox don't you?

that fire giant at the start of the floor was probably worth surging.

the whole team got demolished at ramokees, learn to safespot.

So imagine you have Stormbringer (x = Stormbringer, Y = you, 0 = empty tile, R = Bloodrager)

(do not that the skinweaver is difficult to safespot since she will run away from you)

R00

YX0

000

Up is North

The bloodrager is currently punching you, where do you step next to safepot?

the correct answer is 1 south 1 east, the bloodrager will step east.

0R0

0X0

0Y0

and you will be safe to smack the skinweaver, with only the deathslinger attacking you.

what about:

0YR

0X0

000

This time if you step 1 west, 1 north, the rager will follow you, and it will become:

R00

YX0

000

but that's just the original scenario i listed above, so step 1 south 1 east.

this logic applies if you mirror the situation north/south, and or west/east.

this however, will NOT work if someone tramples the stormbringer (IE steps on or runs by said monster)

team took way too much damage there.

If you pray mage, the deathslinger should be the only one dealing damage except for the occasional time when the bloodrager changes targets and punches a random guy.

you WILL take damage during a ramokee, but it should be limited.

what else, im pretty sure u know about gatestone trick.

this is basically what learning in DG basically boils down to.

as a DPSer, you need to learn how to eat less food (via soulsplit flashing, prayer management, safespotting, picking the right monster to attack)

and learn how to do puzzles faster.

other than that you can learn to key.

I've been told by someone that fire giants are better meleed.

Coming from you though, I'll trust mage over melee.

As for safespotting, I'm normally pretty good with that, I'll make sure to watch out more.

its possible they are better to be meleed.

I've heard that too, from ppl who are nontrivially good at dg.

and Im actually not sure which is correct.

I simply haven't done the research.

Maybe it depends on the level of the fire giant.

Overly high level ones may be worth maging, or vice versa for example.

but yeah, DG skill kinda falls into 4 primary pillars:

Slaying - Mostly prayer management, safespoting, prayer flashing, knowing when to attack what, and getting from one GD to the next ASAP

Puzzle Solving - Typically involves knowing all the tiny tricks involved with each puzzle.

Keying - Having a good sense of the floor. Helps even if you're not keying. Instincts on knowing when to gate what for example.

Skilling - Mining prom, making ragers, planting herbs, making potinos. Anybody can do em. The best players are disciplined and do these things losslessly.

hmm, maybe sub 200 is better crushed, while the couple ones above are maged?

Idk, I've noticed decent results using both styles, so I just go with what ever I get told at the time.

If you throw an emp fire staff, or cat cel staff in there, would mage always be better you think?

with a cele cat, mage is probably always better.

They 200+ fire giants are better maged, depending on how many people are there I'd say melee any below.

Improved? perhaps only if you have no memory, and then you can't dg anyway.

Also, i'm sorry to ask this, but who or what did golvellius gate?

First to 3766 Port Score on 20. March, 2014.

Don't bother with any pots other then the ones that use Lycopus/magebane, or winter's grip/wormwood.

Other pots are almost never needed (I can only think of rejuv pots ever being used, and even those I don't think are ever used in rushes)
