Why can't the Big Bang be done by the hand of God?

It could have, but it is next to impossible because it also could have been caused by the flying spaghetti monster, or one of the other infinite number of deity possibilities.

I seriously don't get how this glitch happened. I mean, did one developer just go "Okay, done with tweaking Lexicus Runewright... aww man, this is boring, let's just go randomly screw around with monster droprates"?

My biggest gripe with this update is the bridge from Lumbridge to Al-Kharid. Seriously, there was an agility shortcut. Simple - if you have the agility, you can pass (you didn't even need to have the xbow and grapple anymore, thanks to the hidey-holes), and if not, you don't. Don't like it? Train agility! And now they destroy that shortcut by making it available for everyone, for apparently no reason at all! I mean, what reason was there for this? Making the skill easier to access? (Oh wait, you still need those stupid tiaras to access the RCing altars - let's remove them...) Or just to plain ol' cater to whiny newbies? (Could have better solved that by giving everyone a sigil or 100 noted torstols! Oh wait...)

Also, good job with the dungeoneering tweaks, no problem there - except that you're still just cleaning up the floorboards when the whole damn house is on fire. I would like better solo experience and a gameplay that focuses more on the usage of all skills. Until then, all that's gonna feed my Dungeoneering skill are my tears. Or rather, those of Guthix.

This is awesome. And everyone else likes it too :D :D :D :D .

I'm surprised (but pleased) that the spoilers werent' actually for the priate quest. I'm looking forward to doing a little dungeoneering sometime.

Why did they use RoW like glory, rather than like every other peice of dstone jewellery? The tele to miscellania was not needed, but the GE one might I suppose be useful for those on different magics to the modern spellbook.

I'm not an efficienado.

I agree. I've always wanted a spirit shield with a sigil on it. :(

I think rock lobbies may have had a reduced charm rate with this update

Barely getting over 100 crims per hour bursting and many other people in burstinglobscc have reported the same.

Check it out, huge amount of effort has gone into this massive mod!

I still don't really understand the Prestige thing. If we repeat a floor and I've done that entire themed floor, do I still virtually get no xpl? Or just a little less than normal? *Thinks about repeating floor 45 forever*

I'm not one to train dungeoneering much but all these tweaks make me want to go back and try some raiding. Also about the ring of wealth - this update still doesn't effect the unique drops like abyssal whip etc. ey? All I read was it increasing drops from the 'rare' table, so really this update only helps with activities and their rewards I.E. barrows/pyramid plunder etc?

I don't mind, so long as there's a tooll (haven't been there yet) I'm happy. But the problem was that it took ages for F2P, and was seen as a barrier to starting dungeoneering.

Today's bug – boss drops

Today, there was an unfortunate bug with some of the 'unique boss monster drops'. This caused some players to experience very generous drops for a very short period of time.

The bug was fixed as soon as we were made aware of the issue and was limited to a very small number of players. It only affected those using lootshare or coinshare in specific environments against specific bosses and only for a very limited period of time.

We have considered a rollback and manual wealth reduction but will not be performing either due to the tiny number of items and players affected by this update.

We will not be issuing any bans connected to this bug. This is due to the nature of the bug and the fact that we introduced an update this week that was supposed to affect these rare drops – players 'expected' it to be more generous and cannot be blamed for the actions taken around this time.

The effect on the market is limited, and, although this may have an effect on the Grand Exchange and player markets, it's likely to be short-term only. The increase in sigils on the GE right now, for example, is negligible (with no significant increase).

There are a handful of accounts that gained a large amount of wealth, but this is not enough to justify rolling back all player activity since the update. We agree, it's not fair that only a few had a chance to experience this 'generosity' but we feel it's more unfair to make everybody experience a rollback. Rollbacks would not only cause everyone's game experience since the update to vanish, but would also cause 2 hours of offline time (as per the last RuneScape rollback).

Regards,

I'm annoyed that my berserker (i) no longer seems to be the best melee ring in the game... those noted torstol drops for example would more than make up for the lower killrate.

You could just take your row in your ivent and switch before the killing blow.

This is what the KB says about it:

You can only receive prestige contributions to your Dungeoneering XP once per floor. Play a floor for a second time and the game will attempt to do the following, in the order shown:

If a lower floor of the same theme (frozen, abandoned, etc) has not been raided by you, then the floor you raid will be treated as if it was this lower floor. This means that the lower floor will be counted as complete (ticked on your floor interface before a dungeon) and your base value of XP will be calculated according to this lower floor.

If a higher floor of the same theme (frozen, abandoned, etc) has not been raided by you, then the floor you raid will be treated as if it was this higher floor. This means that the higher floor will be counted as complete (ticked on your floor interface before a dungeon) while your base value of XP will be calculated according to the floor you are currently raiding, NOT the higher floor.

If there are no floors of the same theme (frozen, abandoned, etc) that have not been raided by you, you will receive a 0 XP prestige contribution to your base value.

So, if you've completed all floors of a certain theme, you'll get 0 prestige XP for redoing a floor of that theme, much like before.

Do you have any idea how much trouble that would be at killrates of 150+/hr, not to mention keeping track of killing blows at say black demons?

@ post above that: They did? I sure hope so.

Most likely is on purpose and not a bug. Better than the 150 steel arrows and 200 silver ores we got before (which at the time were decent drops). None of these drops are huge and just add more variety when killing things which can only be good. 5k coal is what, 1.5M? A decent amount but nothing huge.

Adding 1m/hr of random drops to every monster is bad imo. Even adding 500k/hr is bad. Especially if it requires some stupid nearly-free ring with no combat bonusus. I know MA rings are not commonly used, but that's no reason to make them worse than a random enchanted gem.
